East Riding Leisure Haltemprice

Fantastic experience: I think that Haltemprice is a wonderful place, so much for people to do. It is very clean the staff are always helpful. I am doing a course on getting fit for surgery. My instructor is Lewis who has been very professional, kind and reassuring. Nothing is too much trouble for him. I would definitely recommend the gym it has the most amazing selection of gym equipment and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. My thanks to you all.

Fantastic experience: Went to customer services to renew blue card for a relative. Staff were caring, helpful and had a sense of humour. Saw me promptly when we were a bit early and very efficient.

Fantastic experience: Nice pool. Good sized changing rooms and i like that they are unisex as it makes it easier taking my son swimming and not having to decide which changing rooms he should use.

Fantastic experience: Many activities to do, blip with the system too many bookings at the same time on a couple of occasions, could do with a quick update of the squash courts but other than that a good facility to use

Fantastic experience: Good place for a kids party. They take care of everything inc. the food etc, and the kids get to go feral for a couple of hours. The bouncy castle being particularly popular

Fantastic experience: Since the renovations the gym is much bigger and has a major amount of equipment. People of all ages, shapes and sizes go here so it's superb to see not everyone looks like Arnold shwizzlewrapper in a vest haha. Everyone I've spoken to upto now has been great, everyone's very friendly and they clean each machine after use behind them. Real decent place

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for several years, friendly staff brilliant classes (Les Mills)...tried different gyms over the years but always end up back here. It's even better after the massive investment in gym equipment and extended space would definitely recommend. Only negative is I wish it opened earlier to compete with other gyms but, recognise the logistics to achieve this so, still a 5 star for me

Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Lilly and Kirsty yesterday for a fantastic soft play and bouncy castle party, my son and all his little friends had a great time and really enjoyed the games yoi did at the end. Both girls was very organised and helped the party to go smoothly, not forgetting their exceptional cake cutting skills!! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Today I just used the library amenities which are good but not extensive. However if there is anything you'd like to borrow they will do their best to get it if they can. A lovely staff who are very helpful. There is also an East Riding customer service section which very efficient if you need anything. The gym section has recently been refurbished with an extension added. I haven't used it yet but my son tells me it is an excellent facility with staff ready to help and advise all users. There is a cafeteria which is reasonably price and good value. It's well worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant facility,took my child swimming and she absolutely loved it,2 pools main and children's which is heated to a lovely temperature for the little ones,have inflatable days also. Get yourself and your kids down there

Fantastic experience: Great place!!! Plenty of parking. Reception staff helpful and pleasant. State of the art gym with approachable, experienced staff. Racquet sports, fitness classes, swimming, aqua exercise, swimming lessons, gymnastics lessons - you name it, they do it. As Haltemprice is an East Riding Council Service Centre. There is an excellent library and all manner of Council Services advice available. There are GP's consulting rooms with full GP services too. Last but not least, there's an excellent cafe which serves exceptionally good quality food at very reasonable prices. Go and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful staff. New gym & all facilities are Excellent, Safe and Well set out. Took my son Brett & rejoined him and we had a fresh induction followed by a good workout in the new gym. Looking forward to many more there, with my two lads. Plenty of cleaning sprays and wipes too. Another Excellent East Riding Leisure Centre for us all to enjoy!!

Positive experience: As an all round leisure complex it serves a useful service in a useful location. A small library, 2 swimming pools, a small but handy cafe, and it's latest addition a brand new gymnasium. Also, in a different part of the building complex but I don't think that it is anything to do with the leisure part of the building. A reception is also on hand to help with enquiries. There are, I believe, indoor sports facilities but seeing as my main use of the building is the library I am not qualified to comment on the various facilities available. But I repeat the building offers quite a choice of recreational facilities in an all inclusive complex. There is also a fair size car park along with available bus services right outside of the building. But as for the library part it is not large and the choice of books is limited. But is useful for an hour or so browse.

Fantastic experience: A great leisure centre lots to do in the pool or gym. A well stocked cafe on the premises and a small library. Great for babies to pensioners. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Great to get back to the gym. Spacing & all cleansing provided. Just have to wipe down the equipment you have used. Would recommend if you have missed your regular sessions over the last 4 months.

Fantastic experience: The gym is accessible for the disabled. And staff are helpful and friendly. Like the cafe for coffee and a scone. And there is also a library. So it's good all round.

Fantastic experience: Amazing pool and facilities, nice warm temperature and an even warmer, separate pool for beginners that's only 0.8m to 1.2m in depth. Nice atmosphere and plenty of things in the smaller pool for the kids to play with like floats, ducks and watering cans.

Fantastic experience: I think the sports centre is very clean and friendly. Only problem l have is not been able to get onto the yoga classes because there always full. Even tried booking 8 days before course and still could not get on the course.

Fantastic experience: Great pool for kids, newborns and adults. Cafe serves fresh healthy food, reasonably priced. Library very good. Shame it’s not under Hull City Council. Will be a regular here with Mrs and baby.

Fantastic experience: Much better since the refurb last year, my little girl attends swimming lessons on a weekly basis. Pools and changing rooms are very clean. We've also attended a kids party which was very well run by the centre. We'll keep using this centre.

Fantastic experience: This place had a changing places toilet AND changing room, meaning there are two spaces with hoists to the toilet and changing area. There is also the possibility to hoist into a pool chair, travel to the pool side and be hoisted straight into the pool, no transfers needed, as long as you can maintain a sitting position for a short time in the pool chair. It is very clean, well maintained and all the staff have a very good understanding of the different needs of disabled people and their families. It's a fantastic place to visit, disabled or not but for disabled people it is a very simple space to use, so many barriers removed.

Fantastic experience: Really good swimming pools, I like the fact it's kept clean by having to remove shoes before entering the changing rooms. I have a 9 year old autistic son who needs help getting dressed and undressed so the unisex changing rooms are helpful, the staff are very welcoming too. The kids park outside the building is good and although it's a busy carpark it's not impossible to find a space

Fantastic experience: Practically live here. Good gym, good creche, good cafe. Just wish the swimming changing rooms had more family rooms and that in holidays they restricted the age limit on the small pool. I had to wait in the big pool with a non swimming 4 yr old whilst 8/9 yr olds messed about diving in the little pool.
