Loughton Leisure Centre

Negative experience: The management were very rude and arrogant . I had been a member for over 20 years and had to stop going because it was closed down due to Covid and when I went there once the leisure centre was opened after Covid they could not find my name and told me to take it with the head office and totally ignored me. I showed them all the texts I had received from them but the manager and assistant manager were extremely rude and more or less told me to go away. If some one at head office reads my feedback they can perhaps look at my name on their records . I still had 5 months left of my membership before the leisure centre was closed down due to Covid .

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility with quality trainers and well managed activities. Very well located, just around the high street, making it easy to manage my daily groceries or take away as I finish my kids sessions. Ample parking available and friendly place. Communication regards course updates can be better though.

Positive experience: I primarily use the gym which is stocked with clean and well maintained equipment. Hand sanitizer and cleaning sprays are readily available throughout the facility. Staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. The gym does get busy but never had to wait long for something to free up. The only minor downside is the gym changing rooms. They definitely need to be better ventilated, when the showers are in use the room becomes a sauna and somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that highly recommended facility.

Fantastic experience: It is clean , spacious , modern , up to date and tidy which very good because they maintained how it looks and attracts more people who are active and who want to lose weight. The staff are friendly , responsible , respectful , alert , understanding and caring which will make you have long life friends for good. I have been there with my school when I was little and it was amazing because I know it still maintains their performance to this day. Go there and stay active for life in there. I have been and their facilities is so amazing that it will surprise you with unexpected results that will last with you for a lifetime such as a lot friends , confident boost , weight loss and muscle growth on your body. Don’t be too late to go there.

Fantastic experience: The five star rating is for the swimming lessons for my five year old. He loves it and the staff I deal with are very nice. Quick suggestion. The viewing area for the kids/learning pool.....is very hot! Air conditioning needs to be on.

Positive experience: We were there for swimming lessons for a five year old. They're really well run and disciplined classes and the children learn really quickly. Changing rooms and showers are generally good but there are some areas that have got a bit shabby. The centre also has all sorts of gym and fitness classes which look to be very popular.

Fantastic experience: The new refurbishment have really lifted it up. Good gym and swimming pool. Plenty of parking.

Fantastic experience: I love to swim and this is a great swimming pool for those that like to put a few lengths in. Beware that those who like to swim with the young family will need to double check the timetable as there are only certain times of timetable that the pool is available for family swimming.

Fantastic experience: My Grandaughter is having swimming lessons here which began at 6 months. A month on and she is loving it. Usually one to one but sometimes one or two more but brilliant attention and care from the instructor.

Fantastic experience: Swimming pool is very clean and nice built. Also steam and sauna looks like brand new. Very nice and hygienic place. August 2020 update. I am trying to book for a family swimming session but they are fully booked for the whole week. There are plenty spaces available on lane swimming sessions and many lane swimming sessions daily but only 1 family session each day. so this doesn't really make sense. clearly there is a balance issue between the activities. families with children should be prioritized especially during hot summer days... My daughters keep asking everyday to swim but we left out as lane swimming for adults only, family sessions are fully booked. Great job. Well done ✅

Fantastic experience: I only use the pool when taking my daughter swimming, facilites are very good and well maintained. Younger children can swim for free on Sunday mornings but you have to book in advance.

Fantastic experience: It was really fun and it is for all ages as there is a deep end at about 1.9metres and a shallow end at about 0.4 metres. The shallow is not exact but I went there the other day and it was great fun. Your kids would it enjoy it allot! There is a viewing centre for adults so no supervision needed if you don't want to. I got 510 views on my last review so thanks!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility including gym, 2 swimming pools, sauna, steam room and cafeteria. Overall feeling is that it was better under the Everyone Active's management, yet the new scheme needs time to prove itself. Still, I wouldn't change it for another place.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! Great facilities, helpful instructors and members of staff. The one thing I would improve on are the toilets. There are only 3 showers in the female changing rooms, which isn't enough quite frankly. And it would be nice if they started putting free soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers too.

Fantastic experience: Great place for any type of sport. The gym is particularly good with lots of way to entertain ones self with the Televisions scattered evenly across the area. Another Great thing is the swimming area with two big sized pools and well trained lifeguards on hand. The mentors/staff are amazing when teaching and the activities are fun when there is a holiday (Christmas, Summer ect.) This is why the Loughton Leisure Centre is 5 stars.
