We’re a members only gym which means casual drop-ins are not usually permitted so please get in touch if you’d like more info. All consultations will take place remotely via phone or conference call.

Whether you’re completely new to training or coming to us with a training history, most people will start with what we call a Novice Linear Progression or NLP. This generally lasts between 2-6 months and you’ll be coached on the 4 main lifts (Squats, Bench Press, Deadlift & Overhead Press) in order to train effectively and build up a reservoir of strength, skill, power & fitness that will act as a solid stepping stone to whichever path you chose to take next. It could be competition, sport specific or most commonly; keep getting generally stronger and fitter to help you live your life better OUTSIDE the gym. Your coach will help you navigate the journey based on your goals and constraints such as available training time, injuries, illness and energy levels.

Fantastic experience: I first started by completing 8 weeks of 1:1 PT with Mac, I suffer with weak joints and hip problems and needed to improve my general strength, when I started I couldn’t even squat properly, who would of thought that at the end of those 8 weeks not only can I do body weight squats but I could squat with a barbell on my back with weights on it too! I could also bench press, over head press and deadlift, I went from having to deadlift on 2 blocks to being able to deadlift 40kg from the floor! I never imagined that possible from where I started! I have just deadline 64kg. Thank you Mac for your patience Highly recommended, a great small friendly gym with a programme tailored just for you.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Mac runs a great gym. I attended the Barbell Logic lifting camp at the weekend and it was so good. The coaching was top notch and the gym is great for lifting. Mac is so positive along with the technical input that you couldn't help but enjoy a visit!

Fantastic experience: A quality establishment offering different types of one on one strength training from a hugely experienced coach who has trained and achieved the highest qualification in his industry. I have travelled a 700 mile roundtrip twice in one year to train here because the advice is so valuable to me.

Fantastic experience: Huge thank you for looking after me on my holidays! We were visiting family in Fochabers and I was desperately needing to keep up with fitness! Mac and Kara looked after me fabulously! Thank you! I did an early class at 6.30 and a PT and it was perfect for my 4 night stay! even knowing I wasn’t going to be here to stay they took care of me, pushed me during sessions when I needed it and gave me the motivation to keep going even whilst on holiday! Fantastic experience: Mac has created a first rate gym which caters for complete beginners and more serious people who want to improve their strength and fitness. He is dedicated and enthusiastic in helping those who work out there whether in 1-2-1 or small group sessions. Last year my strength (based on how much metal I could lift off the ground or push in the air) increased by 50%. I'm back for this winter to try and regain and increase my totals. Mac, you need to keep working on my damn posture in those deadlifts!

Fantastic experience: Top place with excellent equipment. Mac is very attentive and notices any problems with your lifting before you do. The classes are small so you feel as though your being well looked after and not just left to your own devices like most gyms. If you want to get stronger then I recommend this gym for you.
