Surrey Sports Park

Fantastic experience: I love the pool. It is low chlorine and clean but best of all it is COOL, by my estimate the temperature is about 27c. I was all but chased out of my local pool in Dorking when they raised the temperature of the water from 28c to 29c (without wider consultation) owing to complaints from SOME customers . I can only assume that these people go to the pool to bathe rather than swim as a cool temperature is required to train properly. I have been assured by staff at the Surrey Sports Park that as the pool is an Olympic training venue, it will continue to be kept at a cool temperature for proper swimming. I consider it well worth the hour round trip to get there.

Fantastic experience: A really excellent & well equipped Sports Centre with a huge range of indoor & outdoor facilities. Olympic swimming pool, Rock climbing wall, Squash courts, multi purpose courts for badminton, football, basketball, netball etc & lots of outdoor grass & all weather pitches. There is a nice cafe as well with viewing galleries.

Fantastic experience: Huge sporting complex. Huge variety of sports and classes to take part in. Big arenas for performances. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Starbucks was a bit slow but lovely.

Fantastic experience: One of the best lesuire centres I've been to. Swimming pool is excellent, usually a 25m public swim but sometimes 50m. Gym is large and welcoming, though can get quite busy. Plenty of exercise classes, squash courts, and football courts. There is a Starbucks on level 2.

Fantastic experience: Visited SSP for the Astolat Model Railway Circle's annual exhibition and enjoyed our "down time" at lunchtime in the Starbucks on site.

Fantastic experience: Great facility for anyone doing sport car parking can be difficult in busy periods and coffee shop can get busy too.

Positive experience: Not bad - clean, modern and with a good variety of sports - but the gym is a source of frustration. The machines (FitLinxx) break frequently and take a long time to get repaired, if at all - the gym is always crowded at 'peak' times and having a number of running, cycling, cross-trainer and strength-training machines out of action simultaneously makes for a frustrating experience. The touchscreen controls are bad too - many are faulty and don't respond correctly to gestures. Car parking can be difficult, especially given an apparent focus on hosting all kinds of events which means that regular users can be sidelined.

Fantastic experience: Very good sports park with lots of options from the swimming pool, rock wall, courts, gym and many studios. Opportunity to play most sports.

Fantastic experience: The set up at Surrey Sports Park is amazing. Anyone living near by is extremely lucky to have access to such a top quality facility. The University benefits from its equipment and range of sports on offer. Though I have only been here to play hockey, I know that international teams have trained and played here during tournaments. It really is top quality and gives every athlete what they need for their sport.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities with friendly staff. We used to use the middle 4G pitches there for our 11 a side football training for a few seasons until we moved and I now use the lower area for 6 a side league on a Monday. We also play the Surrey uni team on the grass pitches round the side which are kept in good condition. Inside has everything you could ever imagine…..rock climbing wall, tennis courts, 4G pitches, huge gym and workout studios, indoor courts for all sorts. Can’t comment on cost as never paid for any services here but it always impresses.

Fantastic experience: Very well equipped gym with an efficient booking system during this covid-19 crisis. The staff are friendly and organised, able to provide clear instructions during your time at the Sports Park. The gym itself is structured with a marked one-way system, with ample room marked out for everyone to train safely, and multiple cleaning points with which to clean both your hands, and the equipment after use. Felt comfortable and secure throughout my time there.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic venue for all kinds of sports. Great football pitches, good indoor rock climbing wall. Swimming pool, and a coffee bar and a pub which serves good food as well.

Fantastic experience: We visited Surrey Sport Park to watch the basketball. It was great fun! The oark has great facilities including a bar that sells food. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit if you are a sports fan!!!

Fantastic experience: the sports park has a lot of facilities, its own parking, there is a bus stop right outside it, so accessibility is not an issue. It has a swimming pool, saunas, steam room, gym, cafe, climbing, basketball pitch, squash, a hell of a lot of other activities as well.

Fantastic experience: Went to watch Surrey Storm Vs Wasps, brilliant atmosphere, not overly big arena good size, fans were encouraging, players great, game exciting. The complex has a sports bar and Starbucks as well as two swimming pools, climb walls, netball courts and other sport activities. Had a lovely time, would highly recommend to the netball fans and sports fans alike as well as people who do sport aka sporty people. Will be attending again

Fantastic experience: A wide range of available activities both for sport and leisure. With its well maintained equipment and grounds, this is by far the best sports/training place in the Guildford area. However, its steep pricing is not for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Love the bar and it's relaxed atmosphere; not to mention competitively-priced drinks. The food's definitely edible too. But the sport is what it's all about; I'm usually there watching the netball, and you can't get better. Try it

Fantastic experience: Outstanding centre - University owned - open for public membership. The gym facilities are outstanding as is the 50m competition pool. It has extensive sports fields and pitches - the counties best facilities. Changing is well maintained and clean and maintenance prompt. There is continual investment in the facility and it’s a pleasure to use. If you can afford the membership don’t bother with other options - this is the best!

Fantastic experience: Very good facilities, with a 50m pool and a very good layout. The football and rugby pitches are a very high standard, and so is the gym. Highly recommended if you are a just looking for a kick about (as they have 5 a side pitches) or looking for a good facility to practice (as the Harlequins practice there).

Fantastic experience: Student membership is affordable, regular membership very expensive from what I've seen. Facilities excellent though with a full 50m pool (although be careful, it is often split into 2 25m pools during most hours of the day) and a gym (not as big as dedicated gyms and gets very busy in the evening, but morning/afternoon is fine), plenty of sports hall space, classes, courts, and sauna/steam room.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place. The staff were friendly and the place is very clean. It has a wide arrangement of sport facility and you can hang out here all day. Swimming climbing bastball football tennis you name it. Highly recommend and the free parking for 3 hours is a plus. You might want to extend that time :)

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and a great offer of different classes according to your level of fitness. A very friendly bunch of personal trainers that are always happy to help set goals and think about your fitness goals. I would highly recommend it!!

Fantastic experience: Had a cut price deal with local radio. Ideal way yo see if I would keep up regular attendance, so far so good, lost some weight and looking forward to continue. I used the swimming facilities which are excellent 25-50m pool.

Fantastic experience: An extremely large sports venue affiliated with Surrey University. It contains many different sports facilities including gym, squash courts, pool, climbing wall and more. This ensures everyone will have an interest in something here. Membership is decent and prices for other bits aren't too steep either. At peak times it can get quite crowds. The squash courts normally have large waits for them. The car park is very large. The venue itself if on the outskirts of town.

Fantastic experience: Great sports park, fantastic facilities. Swimming pool is huge and we'll maintained, clean changing rooms. Climbing wall has new routes set every 2 months and very friendly and helpful staff. Gym is not overly busy and is well equipped. Overall feel of the building is welcoming, and staff are very willing to assist.

Fantastic experience: Really great park. Has almost every sport facility you could want. Swimming, rock climbing, tennis courts, a track. The complex is massive. For students of Surrey University there are many price options to choose from. Love going there

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place - 50m pool, climbing wall, tennis courts and much more - all under one roof!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities. The gym is fully equipped. The swimming pool is 50m. The climbing wall has lots of routes. There is a badminton club that is run by top notch people. Lots of fitness classes to choose from. The bench bar serves good food for a reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing, nothing can beat it. Staff are amazing and will do anything to help you. All the facilities are high quality and will fit your desire. The food is also at a very high standard, so you wont be disappointed with anything!

Fantastic experience: Have used nearly all facilities here. Pool is a good size, divided for different activities, the gym is equipped with a wide variety of machines and weights. The sports halls can be divided and used by multiple sport teams at once. There are many classes and clubs to chose from and join. The only downfall is that the payment is for a whole year and not per month.

Fantastic experience: Would not choose any other gym! Group fitness classes are enthusiastic, pool facilities are a bonus and the gym has a great variety of equipment and friendly staff. Also a treat having Starbucks upstairs! Would highly recommend this to everyone into their fitness!
