Kingsmeadow Athletics & Fitness Centre: Opinions

Fantastic experience: The home of Chelsea Women FC. The ground can hold approximately 5000 fans, though with social distancing at present does not. A new bar and food kiosk provides all the typical foods footie lovers like. Prices are average for an entertainment facility. Toilet facilities are still a little yesteryear but will hopefully be on the list for updating. A match day ticket booth and merchandising stand complete the onsite facilities. There is a small council car park but on match days this is mostly for players, staff, tv crews and also shared with the David Weir Athletic Stadium so fills very quickly. There is street parking around the ground that can be used, though many roads are resident/permit holders only.

Fantastic experience: Flew from Atlanta, GA to see the Women play on April 3rd, 2022 and enjoyed the Intimate Atmosphere here. I bought my Tickets Digitally, but bought another ticket to get a Ticket Stub to keep. Our Group "Atlanta Blues" were recognized by Chelsea FCW. So we got several Shout-outs. I'll definitely be back! Support The Women's Game!

Fantastic experience: Great football for my son, grandsons and myself to see. When we arrived there was no place to safely stand. Great stewards moved us to a seated area, well done. Unfortunately, one of my grandsons got a ball to the face, from an Arsenal player(who didn't check he was ok!!). Fantastic Chelsea coaching staff came to check him at half time. Thank you for caring.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely great game to watch and I really enjoyed it, was too shy to say hi to the players but if I had the courage I could have done. Really nice atmosphere. Hot chocolate did burn my tongue though.

Fantastic experience: This used to be the Football ground for AFC Wimbledon but was purchased by Chelsea FC. It is now home to Chelsea FC Women's team. It is located in Kingston upon Thames. It is also approximately 15 minutes walk from Norbiton Train Station. The venue has a large car park area. It has a club house which contains changing rooms and several small rooms for hospitality. It is a great family venue during match day with several seating stands and one area for standing only.

Positive experience: This is where the boy does his football practice, so I don't use the facilities here. However, AFC Kingston, great football club ????

Fantastic experience: Awesome fireworks show for Bonfire Night. Entry price was okay but could have been kept at £5. Only problem I had was if you bought your tickets online and the show was cancelled there was no refund!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant thank you to Chelsea women. They came over and said hi and took pictures with my little girl made her birthday. Waiting for tickets to go on sale

Aaron 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Had parking but you gotta pay and fills up quickly. So gotta find parking on the many streets around. Clean stadium, helpful staff, quick in and out. Toilets, food cars, train station not too far away. Easy to get to, plenty of signs around. An ideal little football stadium. Home of AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea ladies. Also called Cherry red records stadium.

Iris Clark 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Home of AFC Wimbledon but hopefully not much longer. Now owned by Chelsea FC.

Elizabeth Adby 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great night parking on site is limited

Leigh Rumbelow 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere is great at the smallest football ground in the EFL. We're a friendly club. Parking is okay but not as good as it used to be. Arrive by 13:15 on a Saturday if you want a space or risk driving around trying to find one within a reasonable walk. Thankfully one last season here for AFC Wimbledon.

Alex Aidan 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere, friendly staff and vocal crowd. No bad seats. Decent football too.

Alicia Noriega Velasco 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: The home of the Don's for over a decade, being at the stadium is always an experience. Watching a game, grabbing a beer and some junk food and seeing the players up close makes the trip completely worth it, and it's very well connected to transit, with a bus stop right outside the door and a short walk to both Norbiton and Raynes Park.

andy potter 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Not an over populated football ground. Clean, seated stadium with standing areas. Family friendly, good fast food and easy to get to.

Andrew Silvester 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Always good to visit the home of my club AFC Wimbledon.

Gary Wren 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: A decent stadium very close to the pitch proper fans decent atmosphere.

Simon May 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Supporters of AFC Wimbledon make this place welcoming for absolutely everyone. Standing behind the goal posts is certainly an unusual way to watch the game and the seats aren't much more expensive. Really just love everything about the fans and grounds.

Ourania Chondrogianni 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Lovely, full size stadium, great for all sorts of events. Went there for a Sports Day. Lots of advantages: easy bus links, wheelchair accessible, car parking, stands for spectators and a café for refreshments and accessible bathrooms. Our Sports Day was quite a success!

Christoph Locher 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Kingsmeadow (known as the Cherry Red Records Stadium for sponsorship purposes) is an association football stadium in the area of Norbiton, Kingston upon Thames, London, which is used for the home matches of AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea Ladies. Until 22 April 2017 it was the home of Kingstonian. It has a capacity of 4,850 with 2,265 seats. (from Wikipedia)

Mathew Wilkins 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: A very good small football ground located close to Kingston Upon Thames. With a capacity of just under 5000 it is the home to AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea Ladies. There are two bars at the ground and also some parking (not a great deal, probably about 100 places, more if the weather is good and the field next to the car park is opened up). There is also a gym and athletics club located at the same premises. Can get a really good atmosphere when the ground is full (and the home team is playing well of course ;) ). There are two stands with seats and two with terraces.

Kavin Ruban 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: It's a great place for athletes to train, I have been there lots of times and there is a lot of space for people to do many different athletic sports like sprinting, long distance running even throwing and jumping

Ernie Sharp 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Home of AFC Wimbledon not always the most comfortable place, but dreams have come true whilst playing here with mighty celebrations to follow has served us well. But soon we are truly going home

Ben Owen 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: When I went to the local derby against Brentford (5.8.17) tickets for £15 for adults £10 for children, but could've been more than usual as a premium match. The away terrace is directly behind the dugout, and very low so difficult to see the whole pitch if it's full. Programmes are £2 and very good value & interesting. .. Bike stands are in the car park right at the back. After going around the bend (haha!) keep parallel to the stand, and you'll find about 10 stands at the end. It's between a 20 to 30 minute walk from Kingston or Norbiton station. 131 bus passes the ground. Fans don't have the benefit of any nearby pub to drink, so drink in Kingston or Norbiton.

Ron McCreight 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: Glorious victory over Watford 3-2 in first pre season friendly this afternoon. The mighty Dons are looking good for 17/18!

T Tila 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: Good local stadium. Roads get a little busy around game days but nothing compared to a PL game. Community events happen here including the fireworks in November and the main hall can be hired out for events.
