Mint Fitness provides 30 minute 1-2-1 in person and Virtual Personal Training sessions (over Zoom or FaceTime). The sessions will help you gain full body strength, aerobic fitness, muscle tone, bone health and lose body fat in 30 minutes using the slow motion resistance training method. Slow motion, high intensity exercise ensures you get all the benefits of exercise safely and efficiently.

Our personal training is a private, fully equipped, cleaned and temperature controlled space that is one to one only. The studio is a clinically controlled environment that facilitates safe, efficient & effective workouts. All equipment will be cleaned between each workout and we can train you whilst social distancing and following strict Covid 19 guidance. We will continue to offer Virtual Personal Training and provide slow motion workout in the comfort of your home. These workouts boost immunity. There has never been a better time to take your health and fitness to the next level. Try our slow motion resistance training – a scientifically researched method that takes just 30 minutes.

Mint Fitness was established in 2008 to provide supervised personal training to the people of Brighton and Hove. In simple terms, High-Intensity Training (HIT) is essentially short bursts of vigorous exercise that can have a huge impact on your life, mind and body.

The taster session will give you a chance to experience slow motion training and understand how real results can be achieved in just minutes per week. After our initial meeting and taster session, we will create a personalised program for you and get you scheduled for your next workout.

Having trained on Mint Fitnesses ARX machine for a few months now, I have to say I am mightily impressed with the after effects! It totally maxes out your glucose stores. We also know from the science that HIT exercise generates lactate, which in turn stimulates growth hormone – especially 12-15 mins of interval training 2-3 times weekly. But combine a session or ARX in between and this will push your growth hormone levels way up. Fantastic for those looking to build muscle and lose fat! Fantastic to see Mint Fitness investing in kit that really works!

I was unsure about high-intensity training as I was worried I would get muscley rather than fit. After a few years of HIT, I am a complete convert. My body shape has changed for the better, I am much more toned and generally feel much stronger, fitter and energised. It takes focus and dedication but Matt is very supportive and motivational. It is quite incredible how each week you see the results and can do more and more. When I first started I really struggled to do 2 or 3 proper press ups! And the best thing is it takes only 20 mins of hard work per session so it’s great for busy people who struggle to find time to get fit.!

Since I started personal training at Mint Fitness my fitness and strength have improved so much. For a mum juggling work and home life; it’s brilliant. Two 30 minute sessions a week replace hours of gym classes like Spinning and Aerobics. It’s flexible, quick, almost enjoyable and I feel the benefits. Matt is a great trainer, I’ve been seeing him twice a week for a couple of years and I never get bored. I know Matt is concerned with my overall fitness and well-being.

Over the past decade, I’ve been in and out of various different gyms, but have never managed to achieve the kind of results I was looking for. That all changed when I met Matt at the Mint Fitness Studio.  At 31 years of age, I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than ever. I now enjoy the short, intense sessions.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Virtual Personal Training, but it turned out fantastic! Using mostly body weight exercise is challenging and fun and just what I need during the lockdown.

Having worked with Matt at Mint Fitness for several months, I’ve lost weight and gained muscle faster than any previous exercise plan or gym routine and all in an efficient time manner. 2 short sessions per week and i am in the best shape of my life!

Kirsty has been training me twice a week for a year and from the get go she made me feel comfortable in the studio, she always encourages me and pushes me to achieve my goals. I feel stronger physically and mentally and look forward to our sessions. She works hard and knows her stuff!

Fantastic experience: This is very specific hard work personal training as the ethos in general is High Intensity Training (HIT). Females, dont be put off. Old females such as myself (56 years - dont be put off). HIT means very simply that you have to lift heavy weights slowly on identified machines. The work-out takes a short period of time and is really exhausting. Rest afterwards. There is no need to go more than once a week, more treatment does not mean more results as you achieve the maximum in a short period of time. It is not embarassing as you are generally alone with your personal trainer and I see Matt. He is extremely knowledgable about mind/body/diet. He appears to be working and researching very hard on these issues to make it better for us (you). After nearly 3/m of HIT I am much stronger without being bigger (or heavier), my lower back pain is significantly better and my general mobility and functionality has improved. 'Body by Science' is the best literature to read to understand what they (and you) are trying to achieve during these sessions. This system makes you give up on ridiculous non stop gym work and fads/diets. I am planning to make slight changes to my diet after going for three months i.e. more paleo, significantly less wheat/pasta but I wanted to see how the physical work went first. I do want to lose a little weight so see how it goes......

Fantastic experience: Mint Fitness is perfect for me. Having set times in the week when you have to train keeps me from thinking I can not be bothered. Short high intensity sessions fit in with my life style and I've seen positive results.

Fantastic experience: I didn't know what I'd make of this kind of training but think it's spot on! The programs work around you as an individual, tailored to suit your life style and in just a couple of weeks I am can feel the difference. Excellent one on one personal training in a well equipped and presented personal training studio. The personal trainers are excellent, easy to get on with and this is real one on one, no need to feel embarrassed as there's no one else around. The high intensity training, with half hour sessions so it's easy to fit in but it's no less effort. You know you've been training. Sure it's a bit more than just joining the gym but the way I see it, this is one less night out a week - which is also doing me some good!

Fantastic experience: Mint fitness is an excellent one to one personal trainer programme. No need to spend hours and hours pounding away on the treadmill - these are quick half an hour sessions designed around your own timetable, ability and endurance. After a couple of weeks you can really start feeling the difference, its as if you go to the gym three days a week. The personal trainers are friendly and approachable and easy to get on with. The workouts are demanding but you really do feel like you have had a good work out after each session. I can only recommend you try them.

Fantastic experience: Really nice looking place. Nice one on ones with a trainer without (mostly) anyone else there to bother you which is quite nice and makes you feel more confident. Makes you feel like your there only care rather than taking you to a busy gym and being distracted. Overall pretty good, feel fitter, and still going so I guess there good :D

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Matt at Mint Fitness for just over a year now. I can safely say that this training session has become my favourite part of the week. Before Mint Fitness, I had been to gyms in the past, I’d worked out and played some sports occasionally, but I’d never really committed to making a sustainable, positive change to my lifestyle. At first I thought I would just go along for a couple of months, get a little bit stronger, feel a little better about myself, and then I would probably slowly stop going and revert to my old ways. The impact Matt and the high intensity training programme has had on me has absolutely been life changing. My mindset has completely changed – I now believe that I can actually be a fit and healthy person, rather than being stuck in that endless cycle of ‘getting fit’ quite inefficiently and then getting un-fit a lot more efficiently. I cannot stress enough how much a change in mindset like that impacts every other area of your life. The centre itself is really clean, and it’s not intimidating to go in there in any way. It is probably the most private training experience you're likely to get. At most, about 10% of the time, there is one other (also very friendly) trainer and client, and even then they're on a different floor. So, if you're intimidated by going into a gym, this is a totally different experience, and you shouldn’t worry. Matt is great at building up your own knowledge about the science behind the training so that you can understand the benefits of exercise in general and particularly this style of exercise. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly. If you’re thinking about going, then the free trial session is probably the best free trial of anything that you’re ever likely to try. I cannot recommend Mint Fitness highly enough.

Fantastic experience: As someone who just can't see themselves signing up to one of those larger chain gyms, this has been the perfect place to go for a more private and focused training experience. Absolutely top-notch equipment in a clean and well set up space. With friendly and enthusiastic trainers and an emphasis on efficient, high-intensity sessions which really get results. It's been quite a few years with them now, and they've managed to make going to the gym something I love doing.

Fantastic experience: I first came to Mint Fitness nine years ago to train for my charity climb up Mount Kilamanjaro. I wasn’t doing any exercise at the time and would drive to my sedentary office job every day so my level of fitness was really low. Matt was shocked when I told him my ambitious plans! He was really committed to helping me train and increase my physical strength and we worked together for several months before I finally made it to the top of the mountain. Years later, I’m still training with him. Not because I’m climbing a mountain, but because health is important and I want to look after my body as much as possible on an everyday basis. I really like his holistic approach as we discuss diet as well as exercise. He’s really knowledgeable about food and always encourages me to have a high-protein lunch after training.

Fantastic experience: Kirsty is an excellent PT who genuinely cares about her clients and is accommodating to everyone’s abilities. She always pushes me to do “just one more” because she knows that pushing me to realise my strengths is the best way to see results. I thoroughly recommended her!

Fantastic experience: Matt is a really excellent, knowledgable trainer who is very enthusiastic about helping people achieve their goals. Enjoyable sessions, which I’ve found very effective. Matt is very good at motivating people, and does it with good humour. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I went for a 30 minute workout last night and I was very impressed. Matt has the very best equipment and he got the training just right for my current level of fitness - pushed me just enough to feel like I had a great workout. If you're in your 40's or 50's in a sedentary job and you want to get fitter and healthier book a session with Matt at Mint Fitness.

Fantastic experience: Matt’s level of knowledge and commitment to making his clients stronger, healthier and fitter really do make this studio a cut above the rest. The equipment on offer is superb too. I’m 53 yet in better shape than I have been for at least ten years (and stronger than I’ve ever been). Half an hour a week here (often even less) has been enough to trigger a healthier, fitter lifestyle. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
