Anytime Fitness Headington

Fantastic experience: Has everything you need. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Can get busy at peak hours, but being able to come at any hour totally outweighs this.

Positive experience: Good equipment Peak hours could be a problem.

Fantastic experience: I signed up more than 2 years ago and I am still very happy. Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful whenever you need. Although the space is not massive, you can find all the equipment needed for training. Last year I started PT training with Jade and I can say she is very professional, always smiling and helped me boost my confidence a lot!! Also I enjoy a lot classes. Very good location, especially for hospitals staff!!

Positive experience: I have had membership for here for over 2 years now. I always manage to get on the machines that I want. The shower rooms are clean with ghd hairdryers and straighteners. The only downside is the price banding doesn't include off peak/peak times and shorter time frames i.e. Pay as you go, weekly/monthly etc. like other gyms.

Fantastic experience: Finally found a common sense gym where barefeet are allowed in the squat rack so long as shoes on after to move around and wiping down the floor. Just ask Benny.

Positive experience: Great facilities: with 2 heavy duty power racks (1 with a platform); trap bar; dumbbells upto 50kg; large cable station with a very ergonomic chin/dip assist machine (one of the best I've used); a range of kettle bells; punch bag; and a machine to cover every part of the body this Anytime Fitness definitley has my seal of approval for somewhere to get a fantastic full body workout. And to top it off, very hospitable, friendly, staff. Not the biggest gym but it has a more personal feel than that of larger commercial gym chains.

Positive experience: Always like to use this gym. People are respectful and it's well organised and laid out. But needed a bit of a clean with debris in the corner of the studio where I was stretching.

Positive experience: Be very careful to read the small print when signing up. The terms are lengthy and archaic. You can only sign up for a 12 month membership. They have a relocation clause which states that you can cannot terminate your membership if your new address is within 15 miles of another Anytime Fitness. I decided not to sign up on this basis. It’s a shame because Anytime Fitness is in a very convenient location for residents of Headington but imagine moving to another town and having to pay out the remainder of your membership for nothing - or having to travel 15 miles to use an Anytime Fitness gym rather than whatever is your new ‘local’. Also they had an unfriendly cancellation policy during COVID lockdown. The gym itself is reasonably well equipped and the staff are friendly but personally I decided to sign up for Buzz Gym who offer a simple month-by-month membership with very transparent and straightforward terms. I’ve been burnt with stinky terms in the past and I don’t want to have the same thing happen again. There’s a reason why Buzz Gym and Pure Gym are doing so well.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been too. It’s very clean and it has amazing use of equipment. It’s very conveniently located and you have everything you could ask for in a gym. The staff maintains a consistent manner of professionalism at all times, and Shaz in particular is amazing at what he does. He has helped me achieve most of my goals by building my confidence, showing me how each set of equipment works, and always being so kind and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness is the best thing that has happened to Headington for years. It is smaller than some gyms, but much more friendly. The staff are very helpful: Ashley the manager is nearly always around and very approachable, whereas I never met the manager in any other gym I belonged to previously. The equipment is kept spotlessly clean, and of course is all brand new, with features I haven't seen before. The gym is very conveniently situated for anyone who lives and works in central Headington: the travelling time saved is enormous for me, and so the incentive to attend is much higher, especially now that it is winter

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with some great equipment, the staff are friendly and professional and the gym is open 24 hours a day which is a bonus for Headington. Also I did not know that by joining the Headington gym, I am now able to use any of the 4,500 Anytime Gyms located around the world, this is a surprising bonus, as I travel allot and this will be handy for me when I am away. Best Gym in Oxford by far!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Just perfect! Open 24/7 absolutely convenient for me as I live/work in London Road and don’t have time to go far away (before I was in a gym in Temple Square: too far)! Complete equipment and very clean! I always go around 5:00 when it’s very quiet....I really like the gym!!!
