GymWorks has a huge range of studio classes catering for all levels of fitness and experience led by some of the most amazing teachers in the North West. All of our classes are included in your monthly membership and you can take part in as many as you like each month at no extra cost. Plus, there’s no need to book in advance, just turn up to the class of your choice.
Our huge free weights zone is fully equipped with a large range of weights and over 30 benches. Our friendly staff are always on hand to help you with any questions and to advise you on technique. Of course, if you’d like to speed up or enhance the result you’re getting using free weights, one of our personal trainers can create a bespoke training plan for you.
Sometimes it’s the little touches that make things special. Spacious changing rooms, extra large lockers and powerful showers are just a few of the little details that our members appreciate. At GymWorks we pride ourselves at having some of the best Personal Trainers in the fitness industry. Our team of Personal Trainers are vastly experienced in a variety of different skills and activities. Just tell us your goals and we’ll match you with a Personal Trainer that can help you hit your specific targets within your timeframe.
It’s entirely your decision. Our best priced memberships require a minimum period of 12 months, but if it’s flexibility you require, then non-contracted memberships are available as well. You can also make a significant saving by paying for 10 months in one go and get 2 months membership free!
There really is no catch, we will give you some of the best facilities in the area at the lowest prices by removing the things you don’t use and giving you more of the things you actually want. Don’t be fooled by the price, we are still a premium fitness experience, with amazing equipment and classes.
The equipment at GymWorks has been very carefully chosen to give to the greatest fitness experience possible. The majority of the equipment is supplied by Precor, who are world renowned and have a tremendous reputation amongst the fitness industry for innovation and design. Examples are treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, stepmills, rowers, Watt bikes and Queenax rig.
The club also has a massive free weights area, huge exercise studio, a large spinning area and a functional training zone containing TRX, Kettlebells, VIPRs, Bosu balls, and much more.
Yes of course, all members will be offered a free induction onto the equipment should they require and there will always be on site assistance from the staff or personal trainers
Yes absolutely, the team at GymWorks are big believers in the power of group exercise for producing results while at the same time putting a smile on your face! Examples are Zumba, Body Sculpt, Pilates, Step, Boxercise, Pump, Circuits, Bootcamps, Body Pump, Body Combat, Clubbercise and of course Spinning – check out our Classes page!
For the majority of classes, no, due to the huge size of our studio, however if certain classes reach capacity we will introduce an online booking system to help you assure your place.
Absolutely. There is alway someone here to help you, exactly the same as in a premium priced gym as well as our highly qualified personal trainers who will also be on hand and happy to assist.
Yes, we have some of the finest in the business on hand to give you expert advice on how to achieve your goals, they are all highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in helping members get the most noticeable results out of their time in the gym.
Yes. The changing areas have lockers, showers and hairdryers for members to use. There are also be plug points for members who wish to bring their own hairdryers or straighteners.
I had the absolute pleasure of training here today! I had a warm welcome from the amazing team! This new gym has a great variety of equipment, some of the best I’ve ever seen! Really impressive gym, much bigger than I expected. Plenty of cardio machines (runners, stairmasters, concept 2 rowers, cross trainers etc) and a huge free weights area. Changing rooms are decent quality and overall good feel to the gym.
Top class gym - good quality equipment, massive free weights area with almost 20 benches and masses of cardio machines. Great addition to the fitness scene in Preston.
GymWorks has a variety of classes that I can't wait to try and the studio is large enough that even with a full class you all still have comfortable space to kick, punch and cheer in! It's open plan and lit with neon/led lights (I think they're neon) it's dark enough for me who is self-conscious about going to a gym but bright enough so you can see what's going around you if you wanted too!

Positive experience: The gym itself is brilliant, could do with a few basic machines or a few extra basic machines, like the treadmills probably outnumber bikes at at about 10-1, but the people there let it down, people constantly, more often than not leaving bars loaded so your forever looking for plates, as every plate about seems to be 20/25kg hardly ever seem to find 10kg, and tha changing rooms are very big, but for some reason people feel the need to lay their clothes out for the next week in the benches and very little respect for other people trying to use them even after asking them for some space.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of GymWorks Fulwood for two years now and love it. It has a comfortable atmosphere (helped by the impressive LED lighting) so that you don't feel 'on show', the staff and members are friendly and the quality of the instructors and PT's is OFF THE SCALE!!! Brilliant for an avid gym goer (high end equipment) or a total beginner. I would highly recommend! Great price too.

Great effort and great to see the owner regularly using the gym and canvassing opinion on his investment. Bigger chains could learn a lot. More than a year on, still a good gym although cracks starting to appear. Toilets dirty, lack of discipline in the gym, weights left out all over the place with little or no enforcement. People parking in less abled parking bays showing no blue badges. Absolute disgrace. And in the winter its bloody cold. Rarely put the heating on. A lot of the spinning bikes have faults and need servicing

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym with brilliant staff with lots of varied equipment that is all easy to use and if you don't find it easy then it has instructional pictures on the equipment on how to use it, massive changing room with great sized lockers, only downside i can think of ( a minor one) is that there is only one machine for training calves :( but overall the gym is great :)
