Fantastic experience: What a club! Great facilities, friendly staff, and at a good price. Can't imagine training anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: A lovely place that offers so much. Staff are super friendly, classes are top notch. We also regularly use the crèche which is great for keeping your little ones entertained whilst you work out or chill in the spa!

Fantastic experience: This gym suits me fine; the off peak membership is reasonable ( apart from the elevated joining fee! ) and if you do a couple of classes a week, on top of a couple of weekly sessions, it's really quite a good deal

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend to anyone with children. The groups and activities are wonderful and each and every member of the kids club team are amazing. As a first time mum leaving my little with anyone I don't know is not something I am keen on so it took me longer than most to not be sitting outside the classes They go the extra mile for special occasions like Halloween and Christmas, oh and the facilities are also great along with the staff from other departments.

Fantastic experience: I love playing tennis and enjoy yoga and dance fit. Water cannons Inthe spa area give a great massage, as does the jacuzzi.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful birthday party for our children at David Lloyd Southend and could have asked for more! The staff were fantastic! Huge thank you to Beth, Kelly, Flick and Zack and the rest of the team! Super friendly, the kids had a blast! There was something for everyone, happy and relaxed parents, great food! One to remember! Fantastic experience: Love this gym, good lay out and everyone who works here are so helpful, lovely and fun! The facilities are brilliant and outdoor pool (two pools!!) is my favourite feature. Was nervous of coming back to the gym post all the lockdowns but they were really well set up for it.

Positive experience: Nice gym. Very nice pool (Excellent kids pools although they do tend to take over quite a large area for swimming lessons which can be frustrating when there is only one child learning and every 1 else is squished into the other space so check times in the app.) Restaurant can bit hit or miss compared to others in the chain.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and welcoming staff Clean and tidy place around the pool. Good size sauna & jacuzzi. Dedicated pools for small children's. Easy access from A127. Strongly recommended for family time !

Fantastic experience: Lovely aqua class with Shelli. DL is expensive but a really good club. Great equipment, 2 lovely pools and the staff are so friendly.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service, love the classes, can sometimes struggle to book on some of them, but lots of people drop out last minute so still go to them. Nice clean everywhere. Its not overcrowded either. Downside is the price but you do get what you pay for. The cafe is pretty good too.

Fantastic experience: I have to say Pauline, makes my experience so much better. She always so happy in the early mornings and brightens up our day when we walk in. You hardly ever have a large towel, and pauline knows this means a lot to me, so she’s always try’s to set one side for me where possible.

Fantastic experience: I signed up last week. DANIEL who showed me around not only wasn't using pushing tactics but simply showed all I can get. Absolutely lovely atmosphere in changing rooms and classes. I paid before half of the value of this membership but without a doubt....quality and service is way above other gyms. BEST GYM TO GO to.

Fantastic experience: Very nice Gym. They have a nice cafe, clean and appealing changing rooms and modern gym with state of the art equipment. They all have great racket sports facilities. Staff are friendly. It can get quite busy, especially in the evenings but it never is "packed". They are (very) expensive but you get good facilities in return.

Fantastic experience: This David Lloyd has just had a refit and looks great inside. The pool is a good size of continuous depth with an adult only area for Steam, Jacuzzi, Sauna to one side and exit to the outdoor pool on the other. Family changing rooms if needed and disabled access. The food in the Cafe/restaurant is quite good - for the price, and a fair choice. Great badminton and tennis courts and of course a fully equipped gym. My children also learnt Karate here and managed to get up to Black belt with good instruction.

Fantastic experience: Best gym around. The main pool is big and there are 2 junior pools for infants. Also an outside pool. Great for summer days. The gym is big with a huge selection of machines and free weights area. Includes new synergy machine.

Fantastic experience: Well it appears I am one of those annoying new people learning to use the equipment. Well great club everyone friendly willing to help. I have no complaints and can always find something to work out on

Fantastic experience: I've joined gyms before and never used them but this place has everything and I so relaxed, I love it.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly staff and manager. I've been a member for around 2 years and mainly use the gym and pool. I had a personal trainer for a while and he was very professional and totally changed my attitude to the gym. The badminton courts are a plus, but a few times we've booked a court and turned up to a kids club! Enjoy tennis outdoors in the summer, and generally don't have issues booking sports courts indoor or outdoor. Some of the classes I've tried were brilliant, such as Fight Klub, but the evening "ball" pilates class we tried was horrible. Really impatient teacher. I've been going to pilates for years and never experienced such an uptight class. This is my only negative experience though. The place itself could do with a refresh, and it's getting one so I look forward to seeing the transformation. I noticed whenever I've filled in surveys with any negative issues, they've been dealt with soon after.
