North Herts Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: As i have two small children, we was looking for good swiming place long time, from dozens of we was visiting across London and South East area, is t North Herts leasure centre is clearly the best! Perfect warm place with loads of features at affordable price. Ill recomending this place to every one.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the gym facilities at North Herts Liesure Centre. My wife and I have been members since around 1991. I highly recommend NHLC.

Fantastic experience: Great place for the kids.although opening times are incorrect pool closes at 5 on Sunday. Please fix this. If you want to swim lengths though maybe pick the right day or another pool because telling my children off for jumping in the designated area might get you hurt.

Fantastic experience: Love the pool, its what we come for. Sometimes it's crowded but it's usually worth it. Changing rooms are OK, generally clean. It's reasonably priced too.

Positive experience: Great gym! Lots of space and a great variety of equipment. The steam room and sauna are great after a workout or a long day and the swimming is great for families.

Positive experience: Been going to this place for over 20 years and it's only improved over that time. Currently it feels very modern and up to date. The only thing stopping it from having 5 stars is that it is very limited on private changing and shower areas, for the pool at least.

Fantastic experience: Great, clean centre. Plenty of things to do including a well equipped gym and a huge variety of fitness classes. A great swimming pool with a flume, open currently for prebooked family sessions.

Fantastic experience: Lovely leisure centre. Covid rules etc was fully followed and operated by all participants. We were there to enjoy a badminton game of singles. The hall wasn't as well lit as some other courts (Inspire in Luton) and equally the floor was simply too solid if you're a little advanced in years. (A wooden sprung floor would greatly benefit the over 50s.) My partner helped stretch parts of me not being used during lockdown as I tried to compete with her shots!! There's nothing like a long lay-off to make you appreciate the amenities around you. Good place to go.

Fantastic experience: Busy. Sunday early afternoon, rugby game on, fair few in attendance, good facilities bar (beer most beverages coffee, but not tea) and outside concourse. Plus good size football pitches and in good condition.

Fantastic experience: My son has swimming lessons in here every week and he loves it. He doesnt always listen but the Instructor alison is great with him. Defo recommend. And they put the waves on in the big normal pool lots of fun.

Positive experience: It's a shame would like to give 5 stars but the changing rooms really let this place down, there is never anyone in the swimming pool changing rooms to clean the hair and dirty floors! Last time I came very early and the nappy bins where still full from the day before such a shame. Need more cleaners in the changing rooms.

Fantastic experience: I've only been here to take my kids to swimming lessons. It's only been week 4 and they've made minor progression, I'd say that may be down to my not having time to take them swimming to practise outside of swimming lessons. There is a separate learning area for little swimmers. At the other section, there's a baby pool and the main pool. The instructors are funny and friendly. Clean facilities. No complaints.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, one way system in place with pre booked time slots. Took our son swimming for the first time in one of their new casual swim slots. It was great. Pool split in half, limited amount of people. Changing rooms were clean and tidy, did not feel overcrowded although we got out early and arrived a bit late! Our son enjoyed himself, look forward to returning.

Fantastic experience: Kids love the pool, especially the waves and water slide. Gentle beach-like slope makes it good for all ages. Changing rooms & toilets for the pool aren't huge and can get grubby but only because so many people use it, which is testament to its fun factor. Free hairdryer.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant Leisure facilities boasting a waves making indoor heated swimming pool with fun water slide and a well run Cafeteria on the premises. Other great facilities also on offer. With a cheap entrance fee for all amenities. Spoilt for choice of service.

Fantastic experience: Love the pool here. Baby pool is perfect for my 16 month old. Warm and assessing depth means she can walk around in the pool!

Fantastic experience: under going major redevelopment to cafe area and new teaching pool. changing rooms re done and sports hall. nice selectiom of freshly prepared food along costa coffee. well thought out gym. Omni gym available along side squash courts badmington courts and weekend roller skating

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool is the best for miles around ! Staff are always very helpful and the centre is undergoing a facelift and additional baby pool. My 4 children have all learnt to swim here with the AquaEd system. Teachers are always very encouraging.
