Life Leisure Hazel Grove

Fantastic experience: I've only been to life leisure at Hazel Grove for swimming lessons (2 to be exact) but I'm already having a great experience. I initially emailed to enquire about lessons and joined a waiting list, I only had to wait 2 days and was able to register for lessons starting a few days later. I've had a really poor experience in the past with swimming lessons and quit after 1 lesson, so I was really anxious about starting again. Staff on reception were really friendly and reassuring whilst directing me where to go. I've been given a small barcode key card to scan at the barriers. Changing rooms were clean, there are lockers that take a £1 coin (returned at the end) or a token. Our lessons are being taught by Kev who I already feel at ease around. Such a huge contrast to my previous experience. Kev is in the water with you, he adapts what he's teaching for your level, he's been reassuring especially for anyone lacking confidence or who is afraid of the water. We were give pool noodles and a float and just practiced blowing bubbles and moving on my first week. Kev also explains the movement and demonstrates which is so helpful. Class size is really small, I've only been twice so far but there haven't been more than 4 people yet. Really recommend coming here if you're considering learning. I'm looking forward to continuing lessons.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure comple. Staff are very friendly. Its clean and tidy, pool changing rooms can be a little cold in winter. Dont forget your £1 for your locker!

Positive experience: Plenty of onsite parking Well staffed at the reception desk for any questions Gym is clean as is the relaxation areas Room for improvement in the class timetable: spinning and other popular classes book up quick and on 2 occasions in the past I've had classes canceled without any notice

Fantastic experience: Look forward to going every day, more than a gym and pool, I have a great bunch of friends there.

Positive experience: Was a nice place, not too packed and plenty of changing rooms, i'd say the only thing that lets it down is the carpark!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant baby splash in warm pool (pool could of been a bit warmer though) but Scott is an excellent teacher with the babies and we have fun

Fantastic experience: Great gym, just joined. Had a tour and introduction, the staff were so friendly and helpful, answering all questions competently and confidently. Did my first class today, which I thoroughly enjoyed and it felt covid-safe. Hoping the thermal suite will be able to reopen soon, as it looks fabulous!

Positive experience: Shark disabilities swim group are great .they work here on Wednesdays. I think the back car park needs better lighting.swimming pool is spot on

Fantastic experience: My son has one to one swimming lessons with Scott here and it's great. Scott is a brilliant instructor and my son has made progress very quickly with him. The facility is well maintained and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Son has swimming lessons here. The small pool is a lovely warm temperature, the big pool is fine once you start swimming. Plenty of free parking.

Positive experience: Well run centre with gym, pool and thermal suite. Readily accessible with on site parking and bike shed. At July 2021 you need to book online. At March 2022 you no longer need to book.
