This is the first time I’ve ever tried a personal trainer and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed it more than any gym session! The one-to-one environment ensures that it’s tailored to your personal goals…and good to know that the exercises are working the right bits! Karen makes you feel at ease and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who is shy to go to the gym but would still love to exercise.

Karen is a fantastic instructor, always positive and motivating, even on days when you don’t want to train. Karen is able to tailor your program to your needs and she helped me to continue training when experiencing back problems, during pregnancy and returning to exercise 7wks after having a baby. I have become fitter and stronger over the past 2 yrs.

I have been going to a weekly PT with Karen for three years. She is an amazing instructor – warm, friendly, encouraging, professional – and it has made a huge difference to my body tone and overall fitness levels. She constantly introduces new techniques and ensures that you progress at a pace that works for you and your body. I would highly recommend her.

OK so as a “bigger”, or should I say “curvier” person I was really apprehensive about doing anything fitness related let alone doing a boot camp style class. The thought of walking into a class scared the living daylights out of me. Karen though is just amazing, she put me at ease straight away and explained that it doesn’t matter how big, or unfit you are everyone has their own fitness levels. After just a few months I love it and can already feel and see a difference. No one judges you because they are all too busy doing their own thing. I can’t recommend Karen and her fitness classes enough. They are just amazing and you WILL feel great.

Karen is a fantastic personal trainer! Really motivating and friendly and manages to keep you going even when you’re absolutely exhausted! Great variety of exercises too. Would highly recommend.

I have been attending Karen’s sessions for almost a year now. I find her truly inspiring and encouraging. I have grown in confidence with what I can do. I can honestly say that she has helped and supported me in making a huge difference to my fitness levels. I joined Flexion Fitness after having a baby and Karen helped me get back into fitness whilst being considerate to my non existent stomach muscles. She makes the classes fun, but equally pushes you to improve strength. A very friendly atmosphere.

I have attended online fitness classes held by Flexion Fitness throughout lockdown. The attention to detail that is provided in each class is fantastic, tailoring exercises where needed andoffering advice and encouragement throughout each session making it feel like a 1-1. Highly recommended.

Originally developed from the summer training regime of cross-country skiers Nordic Walking uses specially designed poles to enhance your natural walking experience, allowing the activity to become a full body exercise, burning up to 46% more calories than ordinary walking.

I cannot believe that only after 4 weeks of working with Karen I have changed my mindset regarding nutrition, my sleep patterns and how stress affects my body and losing weight. I had reached a plateau in losing weight and was really frustrated that I wasn’t losing more. I put it down to being middle-aged and going through the menopause but to date I have lost 3 cms from my waist, hips, thighs and just over 4 IIbs in weight.

I’m not going to say it’s been easy (she can be very firm when she needs to!) but I’m confident that I’ll achieve my goals with Karen’s constant support and motivation.

Even though I have been unable to have face to face sessions due to the pandemic, I have been very well supported in my efforts to change my eating habits. The nutrition programme has been tailored to my needs and well explained. Karen is very knowledgeable and supportive.

I enrolled on a 2 hour nutrition seminar with Flexion Fitness to give myself more of an education of what I’m putting into my body and also to pick up some pointers on how to shed some weight! Karen kept my interest the whole time with lots of time for discussions around what was being taught and how it could be applied to my personal lifestyle. I have intolerances and Karen made sure she knew what diet plans / process would work for me. I found the seminar so interesting and it has definitely made me more aware of what I am putting into my body and how I can improve on my daily habits. Karen delivered a great seminar and I will be looking out for future seminars. Thank you!

I love working out and keeping fit and healthy and doing this job means I get to share my passion and encourage others to live a healthier lifestyle, get in shape and feel great about themselves.  Previously a runner and cardio queen I have spent the last five years focusing on my CrossFit training and now love nothing more than lifting heavy weights and developing my strength and gymnastics skills.  I enjoy meeting new people and like to think I am friendly and approachable.  I get a buzz out of watching clients develop not only their skills and strength but also their confidence, it's never too late to start exercising and the benefits to your physical and mental health are undeniable.  At the age of 49 I am now the fittest I have ever been so I like to encourage clients to never let age stand in their way.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Flexion Fitness for over a year now and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! Karen is well-informed and friendly, making you feel comfortable while pushing you to progress. She doesn’t force you to do anything you’re uncomfortable with, but she does encourage you to achieve personal bests and to challenge yourself! She changes up sessions to ensure that there is plenty of variety, so no session is ever boring. Thank you Karen!

Fantastic experience: Can a Phoenix rise from the ashes? Ask Karen! An exercise-averse pensioner, at 68 I somehow started to get remarkably fit. But a few years later, all was lost after my mentor moved, then the long 2-3 years of covid lockdowns. Motivation extinct, I’d reverted to type. A valued friend pointed me towards Karen. But now in my mid-70s, am I really willing to trudge all the way back to the starting blocks and do again all the hard yards (miles, even!) to get anywhere near where I was? Daunted and intimidated I agreed to meet Karen. OMG, I liked her - a lot! Surprising myself, I signed up and started. The pathway back to fitness seemed not quite as overgrown as I feared, as Karen’s sharp ‘machete’ soon slashed through the tangly weeds. She carefully and supportively plans the way ahead with almost a ‘pastoral’ touch. It’s all graded to test and extend, pushing gently to the brink, but never over it. Thanks only to Karen, the Phoenix is beginning to arise...

Fantastic experience: Karen is knowledgeable, skilled and professional. Fantastic experience: This is the first time that I have used a personal trainer and I couldn't have picked a better one! Karen has a natural gift of encouraging you whilst pushing you that little bit further. I wanted to improve my stamina and fitness in order to keep up with my 3 teenage sons on an activity holiday. She prepared me well and even made me enjoy the process (don't tell her I said that!) Karen is a lovely person inside and out.

Fantastic experience: What can I say... Karen is a superb personal trainer. She listens to what you want to achieve and works with you to help get you there. The sessions are tailor made to suit you and she even has a progress report to show you how far you have come.

Fantastic experience: Caroline & I have just completed 10 buddy up sessions and have just signed up on a permanent basis as we're enjoying it so much! Fantastic experience: I'd been thinking about needing to do some exercise for some time but have never had the willpower to do it for more than a couple of weeks, if that! I needed someone that would provide the right kind of workout for me and who would not only encourage me but also teach me how to do the exercises safely and correctly. Karen has been absolutely fantastic, I started one to one personal training sessions with her 9 weeks ago and the difference in my fitness level and shape is amazing. I never expected to achieve half of what I have and the credit for my success goes to Karen. My workouts with Karen have included cardio, HIIT, suspension training and kettlebells so there's plenty of variety and Karen has challenged and supported me every step of the way. She makes me work hard but has a natural knack of making each workout fun. I would, without hesitation, recommend Karen as a personal trainer.

Fantastic experience: My Partner and I have been going to Karen for personal training for the last 10 weeks or so. She has been a great personal trainer, very friendly, motivating and not at all intimidating which was great for us as we are not sporty types. We would have happily continued to see her for personal training but we are moving away from the area.

Fantastic experience: Karen led an amazing suspension fitness session in her gym, which was tailored for my level of fitness and knowledge, and I couldn't have been happier with the results, it was perfect for what I wanted and will allow me to train better and concentrate on the areas that I wanted. It was a brilliant lesson, I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who travels, or who wants to have a full body workout without needing lots of different equipment. I'll certainly be back for more lessons.

Fantastic experience: Karen is a great trainer and coach, both in 1-1 personal training and in group classes. She encourages and challenges in every session, in a supportive, fun way. Each workout builds on the last and stays interesting and motivating. I cant quite believe how much I'm able to achieve now from just 6 weeks training!
