Billingham Forum is one of the most iconic leisure destinations in the North East. The Forum, as it is more commonly known, holds particular historical and cultural significance for its diverse offering and abundance of activities that have been entertaining visitors for over 50 years.
In 1967, the Forum was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in front of large crowds who flocked to witness a very special moment for the town and the leisure industry. The building was celebrated as the first leisure centre of its kind in the UK, famed for its pioneering design of the ice rink, and to this day it is leading the way in providing innovative and exciting ways for communities to stay healthy and active. The Forum sits proudly at the heart of the town centre and attracts over 1M visits each year.
Famous for its ice rink, the Forum Ice Arena is home to ice hockey giants, Billingham Stars, and offers a variety of figure skating, disco and public skate sessions for everyone to enjoy. To view the timetable and choose your session, please visit the Ice Arena website.

Billingham Forum: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great venue, even better hockey team and training. Needs the cafe opening up again, but it's not a deal breaker.
Fantastic experience: They get some great acts
Fantastic experience: Ice rink, Gym, swimming pool, and many others sports available daily activities to keep you fit.
Fantastic experience: Great day out for all the family. Do not buy from vending machines £2.60 for a bottle of pop .
Fantastic experience: great got a bit busy on ice towards end of session too many people allowed in in my opinion but still great fun
Fantastic experience: Very busy but enjoyed it. The times on the website were incorrect,so ring 1st to check as we had to wait 1hr
Fantastic experience: Very clean, shame the vending machines were out of order could have just eaten some (space riders pickled onion flavor ofcause and a cup of hot Bovril) after the swim. pool was warm not to busy. Bit pricey for a swim but if its what you have to pay nowadays then what can you do
Fantastic experience: Lovely visit to the pool not overcrowded
Fantastic experience: Great time daughters sons in-law and grandkids , only fell twice , not bad for a 56 year old , great customer care , can't wait for next visit xx
Fantastic experience: Nice staff and fun place to be
Fantastic experience: First time visit. Went to the UK Rock Show(80s rock) Plenty of free parking nearby. Drinks are reasonably priced also. Would visit again

Fantastic experience: Great place for Ice Skating and watching the hockey. Staff are usually really nice and the place has a generally good feel to it. Would reccomend. Ice Skating prices are good.
Fantastic experience: Really good highly recommend. Staff extremely pleasant and helped us with out woth getting our skates on. And when noticed my little one was struggling offered an aid to get around though she was over the height limit suggested for them. Made it enjoyable. Thanks again
Fantastic experience: Monday night, ladies only at the ice rink & only £2.90 for the session & boot hire, what's not to love !
Fantastic experience: Girls had a great time ice skating for the first time ever.
Fantastic experience: I love this place. I first attended in the 90s and its great to it still going strong and being well maintained. So much goes on behind the scenes to keep this place open. Enjoy it!
Fantastic experience: My first time at the Forum and seeing Genesis Connected, both of them made for an enjoyable evening. The venue was well presented and seemed very professional. Getting to our seats was quick and easy, and we then had great views of the stage from our position in one of the boxes. Acoustics were great during the concert, clear lyrics and a nice authentic sound. Look forward to returning in the future. As an electric vehicle driver it was disappointing that the charge points weren't working properly when we visited. I appreciate these are operated by a third party, but it would be good to see the venue taking a proactive role in ensuring their availablity is maintained (see comments on Zap Map). Just a small niggle really in an otherwise pleasant experience at the Forum.
Fantastic experience: Swam and ice skating very friendly and easy to find way around
Fantastic experience: I go to bum's, tums and thighs class every week at the forum and it's great. You know it's working as you can feel the pain. No pain, no gain. I use the pain as fuel to keep going.
Fantastic experience: Great place for all kind of events,I went to see the ice hockey was brilliant experience
Fantastic experience: Lovely little theatre where every seat you see the stage
Fantastic experience: Just started skating with my daughter again after a twenty year break, the rink is great, staff are helpful and friendly. The forum lobby is lovely but the toilets are awful, so utilitarian with there stainless steel seatless toilets, i know they need to be tough and hardwearing but they are dirty and smelly too.
Fantastic experience: Well organised with plenty hand sanitizer around the forum plus side nice & warm also .a member of staff was running around bless him asking the public to stop videoing the show he needs a medal
Fantastic experience: A great venue for live stage acts
Fantastic experience: Great night out.
Fantastic experience: Bought some equipment from Hockey Hound. Great shop and brilliant staff. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: A fantastic birthday celebration for my Granddaughter's birthday at Clip and Climb. The staff were amazing and it was a fabulous time for the children and the parents.
Fantastic experience: Whole experience is great the staff are so friendly and helpful and whatever ur age or size they make u feel very welcome keep up the good work ☺️

Fantastic experience: Great fun, children loved it. Nice staff
Fantastic experience: Great place with a cracking hockey shop in the corner of the rink.
Fantastic experience: Used badminton court for the first time, the court was set up and ready and reception staff were polite and helpful. Happy to go again and again.
Fantastic experience: Always a great night at the Forum, we've been coming here for years and have seen some brilliant acts. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, keep up the good work.
Fantastic experience: Booked Go climb for grandson aged 8. He loved it. Well organized, brilliant staff, and value for money. What more can you say. We'll be back
Fantastic experience: Cheap swimming sessions. Kids pool nice and warm, perfect for little ones, nice and clean. Friendly helpful staff
Fantastic experience: An amazing resource for the town. With a variety and programme of events that provides live performances and enrichment for the local area. People here are fortunate to have this on their doorstep.Cherish and be proud of the festival of dance too. Welcoming staff. Ample parking. A gem!!
Positive experience: There's a well equipped gym, an ice rink, very ordinary pool, sauna, small play barn and clip and climb. Quite a lot of fitness classes held regularly. The cafe in the main atrium is currently closed as are most of the public toilets which is a bit of a nightmare with small children. The attached Forum theatre is excellent so when the full theatre programme returns I would recommend going. It's a leisure centre so does what it is supposed to without being exceptional
Fantastic experience: Great ice rink. Nice food and I would definitely visit hear again in the near future
Fantastic experience: This Theatre has recently been refurbished and is looking very smart. There is a very good programme of shows throughout the year, a bar and also a VIP lounge for anyone who wants to pay a small amount to use it.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience here with my daughter the other day. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Have to say skating with a 5 year old is easier now that there has to fewer people on the ice at once. Don't be put off by calling to book as the member of staff I spoke to was friendly and helpful too. Very well managed overall and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself and wants to come back soon. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: As always a superb night out my buddy and I went to see the superb Eagles tribute band Talon again. As a regular visitor to the Forum I have always found the staff helpful and friendly, and being disabled I have always found the toilets spotlessly clean. I would certainly highly recommend this venue.
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. I got lot of fun going with my friends. It is not too busy during weekends. Good price.
Fantastic experience: We go here now and then mainly with my wife's parents and our daughter as they all love to skate and the facilities are good.
