Fantastic experience: I joined Pure gym in January 2022. So far I’m loving all the classes I can attend after work. Alex’s “absolute abs” class is just amazing. He is absolutely good, great back to back workout, gets our abs on fire during that half an hour and really makes us sweat. Personally I think another 30 min “Absolute Abs” session by Alex on Thursday evening will be great.

Positive experience: I've been a member for a good few years now. Over that time it has become progressively busier and not in a good way. No matter what time I go, its full of muscle men and "young lads" (vests, caps, constantly on their phone) in groups, hogging the free weights and weights machines area. As a woman I find this very intimidating and i do not feel welcome in the free weights area due to the over representation of these groups. I've also been hovered over by some of these male members and asked nearly every time i manage to get on a bench or machine how long I'm going to be (1 set in), like as a woman I shouldn't be there. It's got noticeably worse over over the last 3 months. Lots more groups of 5+ 16 year olds hogging stations and machines. I am looking for a new gym and will be leaving.

Positive experience: As cheap gyms go this is one of the better ones. They have a good variety of equipment. I only go in off peak hours and have never had a problem getting on equipment. This is one of the messiest gyms I've been to though. Weight plates everywhere and sometimes you have to literally hunt around for a set of dumbells. Some of the people that use this gym are very untidy. I dread to think what their houses are like or perhaps they got a mummy or daddy that runs around after them tidying up. When I first went to view the gym I was greeted and shown around by Christian. Very nice, friendly and helpful chap. After 15 visits though he is the only member of staff that has talked to me. The others don't seem to friendly and have not even said hello. Overall I gave this gym 3 stars. I knocked two off because, the equipment is good and better than the cheap competitor up the road but not brilliant but then what do you expect for the price? Also its very untidy.

Positive experience: The gym is ok. Plenty of kit but it's a bit dark, low and tight on space. Lots of posers. Way too many people given the current circumstances. No respect for space. And the kit is really dirty. And I mean dirty. Never seen a gym so unclean. Given the pandemic more should be done!

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym due to being open 24 hours. I usually go around 6am or just before. Equipment is decent. Rarely you see a weight machines broken or out of order. They made use of the space well but I do personally prefer more space, especially for mats. Also started to notice lately mornings are getting as busy as peak times in the evening. But enough equipment for all.

Fantastic experience: Good solid Gym that has a wide range of classes for free if you a member. Price is one of the best in Sutton and with the opening hours at 24/7 you can go whenever suits you. Decent staff, some seem to know better than others but all are willing to help and offer PT sessions at an additional cost, again reasonable. Especially like the multi gym access as I travel for work and this allows me to still go to a Puregym if there's one near by which helps me keep on top of my health and fitness

Fantastic experience: A lot of comments here seem to be rating the gym before the gym has opened... which was 14th Aug 2017. Now that it is open, the gym seems spacious and clean, has a good amount of machines which are not crammed into every inch of space, so you don't feel like you are on top of eachother, and the staff seem eager to help without being intimidating. Don't expect a huge open space with 50 treadmills in a row as the space just isn't suited to it. The gym itself may have to invest in extra machines in time as I can imagine it's central location, price, and lack of other gyms in the area, will likely make this a very busy hub eventually, but for now it seem worth a shout.
