Fantastic experience: By far the best gym in the area . Since the refurbishment last April it has once again hit the high standards it had when it first opened . Great atmosphere - friendly staff and really care about their members . There's so much equipment as well - even in January I am not having to queue for any cardio equipment . Highly recommend . And don't forget the hydrotherapy pool to relax and unwind after your workout !!!

Fantastic experience: Total fitness is a fantastic gym to workout it also has a hydrotherapy pool, a swimming pool, a sauna, and a steam room. It is well worth the money and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend this gym to anyone. They also do swimming lessons for your kids.

Fantastic experience: My favourite place to train has everything you need in one place. Its massive so even when its peak times you can always find something to use. Nice pool and spa facilities and the staff are nice.

Fantastic experience: Disappointed as the plunge pool is no longer in use. Overall a good gym. The sauna, steam room and swimming pool are a great additional extra to help keep you focused on a post workout treat for the body. Membership can be a bit expensive.

Fantastic experience: Making the most of my membership by joining in the excellent classes on offer. Apart from swimming have been to yoga, aqua aerobics, dance fit and pilates so far.

Fantastic experience: It's so easy to join and staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The pools and jacuzzi are great as is the sizeable gym on 2 floors plus a running track. People of all age and abilities are members and it has a nice cafeteria to relax in later.

Fantastic experience: Been my local gym for about 5 years now great gym, lots of facilities to use. Kept very clean. Only thing is some gym goers have poor gym etiquette i.e not putting free weights away. This is nothing on the gym staff itself who put the weights away when they do their rounds. But why should they when a sign tells you to other that this highly recommend the gym

Fantastic experience: First visit today since lockdown so felt quite nervous. But felt OK once I'd entered and used the sanitiser and found it easy keeping a safe distance while exercising. Will hopefully be going more regularly now

Fantastic experience: Wonderful to be able to swim again. Everything is so clean and well organized . Environment is safe and you feel confident to go to the gym again.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is very experienced in swimming it's nice to finally have a pool that doesnt get to busy and doesnt have time slots on when you can use it. Which is a much improvement over the places that have casual swimmers packed into a 1 hour time slot where you cant get a fast front crawl going due to other swimmers. But in total fitness I've noticed that people are very kind and are willing to let you pass without making a fuss about it.

Without going into detail about my circumstances suffice to say she went the extra mile to help me which is very rare these days . Fantastic experience: Great gym, been here since it opened, has a great variety of activities and surplus cardio machines. Can be manic at peak time after work but other than that it is fine. Well worth the extra cost too for the swimming / hydro and sauna etc.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I joined total fitness this morning. We arrived just looking to have a free day pass to try out the facilities before we join. Gill was very helpful and gave us a tour herself around th gym and told us to take our time and spend the whole day there if we liked. She allowed us to use all the equipment and facilities including the pools and sauna/steam room etc for free. The place was very clean and even though it was a Saturday morning we didn’t have to wait for any equipment and we had a lovely swim in the pool and also used the hydrotherapy pool which was amazing. There were children around taking lessons but we were still able to enjoy our swim without being impacted by this as a lot of the children were in the family pool. Already this won me over as other gyms I have been in only have one pool. Changing rooms were massive and several hairdryer stations (ghd!!). When we were finished we had a little chat with gill on the way out and she was very informative and friendly, not at all pushy. Low and behold she offered us a very very good deal which we couldn’t turn down so we decided to join there and then. As I’m a teacher my husband and I both got corporate rates and she gave us the option to just pay the admin free and pay for the rest of the month on pay day. She took her time with us and showed us the app and how to book classes etc, and helped us get booked in for our first inspired session. Already our experience at total fitness is very positive and we’re looking foreward to getting stuck in! Thanks Gill!

Fantastic experience: My first ever gym. I've always thought they'd be intimidating but after viewing a few this was by far the biggest, brightest and most friendly. Excellent variety of classes and plenty of equipment so you hardly ever have to wait. Excellent pool area.

Fantastic experience: Friendly atmosphere and excellent gym equipment, the Zumba classes are also good fun. The reception staff are welcoming and the changing rooms are clean as are all the communal areas.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, great facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, the hydotherapy pool alone is worth the monthly fee!
