Welcome to TK-Fitness, I’m Toby King and I have over 15 years of experience working within fitness & county level athletics coaching. The knowledge I have acquired is unique and enables me to cater for all levels of ability.

If you are looking for expert guidance in weight loss, muscular growth, increased stamina, core conditioning as well as health & lifestyle wellbeing I can help you.

Best coach I had, always pushing, always motivating, and always keeps it real. He keeps the training to your level and raising it if he sees it’s fit, of course there are bad days when you feel your body reached it’s limit but that’s how you know your body is improving. Always there beside you helping you push further into your limits. 

Toby is really helping me regain my stamina. He’s found exercises that work for me even thought I have some injuries and keeps me motivated. I won’t pretend it’s easy- but having Toby’s support really does mean I’m training harder and smarter than would be able to do on my own!

I have been working out with Toby for just over a year and a half now. Toby was great from the start, easing me into it and making it as enjoyable as it could be. After 7 months I had lost 3 stone and went from being unable to maintain a jog to running 10k outside!

I explained to Toby what I wanted to achieve from my sessions and Toby listened to my needs and has customised each session accordingly. No two sessions are ever the same. He is flexible with his hours and his motivation and encouragement pushes me to keep going. I would have no hesitation in recommending Toby to anybody thinking of getting a PT.

Toby is a fantastic trainer. He has helped me regain confidence in training following a knee injury that had made me nervous about exercising. He is very intuitive and always knows when I need encouragement to push a bit harder or when I’m struggling. He regularly checks in in between sessions to offer support and advice, helping to keep me motivated with both fitness and nutrition. He is always accommodating with my schedule as shift work can often make it difficult to find times to train. I have seen great improvements in my fitness and Toby has helped me to enjoy continuing to challenge myself.

Toby is an amazing trainer! Best one I’ve had yet! He is patient, motivating, accommodating for anyone with a busy schedule. He cares about your fitness and health just as much as you do and he’s always very attentive, understanding and helpful. Not to mention that he is a nutrition expert, which just takes your training that much further! After a month I’m already noticing a huge difference in my stamina, health and appearance, truly a great trainer!

Toby really challenges me and knows my capabilities or how much more I can be pushed. He’s very intuitive and easy to work with while still challenging me to work harder each session , I would never have been able to start taking my fitness more seriously without him as he is able to give a break down of body weight , body fat percentage, muscle mass etc. Thus allowing me to understand all the different components there are to weight loss.

TK-Fitness offers personal training in Cardiff and you can either schedule an appointment and meet us at one of the many gyms in Cardiff or you can come to our location and we can go from there. Here are some driving directions from some of the common landmarks in Cardiff

Head north-east on Gorsedd Gardens Rd towards Park Pl for 125 ft, then turn right onto Park Pl and continue for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Boulevard De Nantes/A4161 and continue for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto North Rd/A4161 and continue for 0.2 miles and you will reach TK-Fitness at CF10 4JF

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Toby since February. I had barely stepped into a gym before, and was really anxious about it. But I was very unhappy with being the size I was and really wanted to gain weight. Toby works in a relatively small but very well equipped gym in Cardiff bay which really suited me. I’ve struggled with putting on weight ever since I can remember, and I couldn’t quite understand where I was going so wrong. We started with a food diary and that highlighted quite early on some of where I was going wrong. Toby created a meal plan for me and changed it regularly so it never got boring. In the gym Toby doesn’t just tell you what to do, but he explains how to do it and why you are doing it so I have learnt a lot and it keeps all of the sessions really interesting. He’s always been very flexible around my work schedule, and there have been times I have had to change times or days last minute and Toby has always been very accommodating. Toby will also check in regularly to see how I’m getting on, and is always on hand for any questions that I have. I’m now the healthiest and heaviest I have ever been, and for the first time in my life within the healthy weight category, I also now feel loads more confident. I would 100% recommend Toby to anybody. I really couldn’t have made so much progress without Toby’s help.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Toby as a personal trainer. I started my training programme with him 2-3 sessions per week 11 months ago. Initially I planned to do a 12 week programme but I made so much progress and enjoyed the sessions so much I continued the programme. Toby is a very knowledgeable and experienced personal trainer. His training sessions have great variety and combine cardiovascular with strength and conditioning work. He is very professional and brings a great energy and positivity to the sessions. I made incredible progress and he really helped me achieve my goals and look my best for my wedding. I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.

Fantastic experience: I started training with Toby 3 months ago in a mission to lose some serious weight and I cannot praise him enough! He tailors the training and food programme specifically to my needs and requirements and is always on the other end of the phone to give me plenty of motivation and encouragement outside of the sessions too. Toby has helped me achieve in 3 months what I did not manage to achieve in many years. He definitely exceeded my expectations and I would go as far as to say he has changed my life for the better. Fantastic experience: I contacted Toby during the first lockdown, shortly after learning that I was expecting my first child. I was nervous and completely unsure of what to expect. I knew that I wanted to be in the best possible place physically. He worked closely with me and specifically focused my sessions for all stages of prenatal training. I made fantastic results and couldn't thank him enough for preparing me physically, this in turn made me mentally stronger and helped me deliver my beautiful son. We arranged to continue with my postnatal development 8 weeks later. He was caring and listened to how I was feeling and structured the sessions accordingly. At first we were working pelvic floor exercises, posture exercises and just getting my body back to a place where I could start to really train properly. I'm now looking better and feeling fitter than I ever have before and we've just booked in to the Cardiff 10k in the summer. If your looking for one to one training, I couldn't recommend Toby enough. He is knowledgeable and approachable

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality Training with Tobias was a really good experience. He is very knowledgeable, always alert about how I was doing during the training sessions, and flexible with scheduling. Fantastic experience: To start TK has to be one of the most flexible PTs out there, he’s very accommodating and understanding. There was a plan worked out for my specific goals that he shared, there were some dates where that type of exercises wouldn’t work for me so he could shuffle the sessions around and still make it work. In the gym it’s non-stop from when you arrive till when you leave. TK also has a great understanding of what your body is capable of before you even try it so that you’re not left doing something too easy or something impossible. For anyone interested in a personal trainer, TK is the one you should try out.

Fantastic experience: I have been having PTs twice weekly with TK-Fitness for around 4 months now. To date I have lost nearly a stone in weight, dropped 2% body fat and increased my muscle mass. But it’s not all about the numbers, I’m fitter, stronger and mentally healthier. I have tried numerous different gyms, fitnesses classes and PTs and can I honestly say Toby is the best! I love that every session is different, we do a mixture of outside running, body weight exercises, weights, spin, treadmill running, boxing, the list goes on! He is so encouraging during the sessions always making sure I push myself, but always within my limits. In between the sessions he regularly checks in with me, making sure I’m staying on track and provides me with nutritional advice and provides home exercises to complete. With my busy work life he is always so flexible with our sessions, enabling me to get the work-life balance right. As you can probably tell I can not recommend TK-fitness enough!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Tobias for Just over a year. After suffering a serious knee injury playing hockey, I was forced to stop playing and rest. My lifestyle went from very active and became very sedentary. Before I knew it, I had gained over two and a half stone. I was recommended to contact Tobias, by a friend who had previously worked with Tobias. He really helped me with the rehabilitation phase and got me to a point where I was back moving. My fitness had really dropped off but gradually it came back thanks to the knowledge and session programs Tobias put together. 15 months on and I am back to my normal weight but far stronger and fitter than I was before my injury. Tobias has helped me more than I could have imagined. His perseverance and hands on approach made training enjoyable and got the results I had hoped for.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a personal trainer to take me to the next step. I had been training for sometime, but my results had plateaued and I was really struggling to progress. After contacting several trainers I decided to choose TK-Fitness. I put my faith in Tobias because he is professional and has fantastic background knowledge, which gave me confidence to start working with him. After a free consultation I decided to commit to the 12 week program. This was structured around my goals and lifestyle commitments. Tobias really shook up my training and nutrition and also gave me a completely different outlook to training. Now I train smart and keep the balance. After the 12 week program, I had dropped 5.4% body fat, increased muscle mass and my speed and overall performance had improved a lot. I still work with Tobias training twice a week and taking advantage of his nutrition expertise. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer, then I really recommend getting in touch with him.

Fantastic experience: Toby was a great personal trainer! After spending the last three years on a downward spiral with my fitness and health he really changed the way i think and feel. I still have a long way to go weight wise but Toby really inspired and motivated me to achieve my goal! In my first session i could barely speed walk without feeling like i was going to keel over and at the end i could just about run a mile! He knows his nutrition and fitness inside out, he also makes sure to send inspiring texts to make sure you don’t give up. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Tobias is a great personal trainer. He has worked with my son on both fitness and diet. He developed a training plan around his needs, and checks in between sessions for feedback. Additionally, in the lock down he provided training and advice. I would definitely recommend Tobias because he looks at your whole lifestyle and my son has definitely seen results in both strength and stamina.

Fantastic experience: I approached Toby a couple of months ago having taken a break from training for several months. At my complimentary taster session, I explained to Toby what I wanted to achieve from my sessions and, in contrast to other PTs I have worked with, I have found that Toby listened to my needs and has customised each session accordingly. No two sessions are ever the same. He is flexible with his hours which is incredibly helpful with demanding work commitments and his motivation and encouragement pushes me to keep going. Fantastic experience: I was training with Toby to loose weight and keep my gymnast body, and it was a perfect experience for me to have a personal trainer as Toby. He is really understanding and keep me really motivated each session with him, he is keeping me updated of my progress and I really appreciate that. Also, he is supporting and encouraging me to give my best even when it's getting harder ! I ll 100% recommend you Toby if you want quick result! Fantastic experience: I'm about 15 sessions in with Toby, and am looking forward to continuing. I decided to get a PT because without someone relying on me to turn up, I would never ever go to the gym. It's been great having someone push me to go further than I think I can. Toby's always very flexible with his hours, which is great. The sessions are well thought through, and they're different every time which helps keep it interesting and unpredictable. Toby will come with a plan for the session, but is also ready to adapt if I find things too difficult on certain days.

Fantastic experience: I had the fortunate opportunity to train with Toby from February 2017 until November 2017. My goal was simply to lose two stone in weight (Initial weight being 15 stone). Toby advised me on specific changes to my diet which was necessary to achieve the results I wanted.Each training session was well planned to suit my requirements and as I progressed I could feel a gradual improvement in my fitness levels. I am very pleased to say that I reached my goal of 13 stone. I have to give Toby credit for his huge contribution in helping me to achieve the results that I desired.It was a pleasure working with him.
