Stoke Mandeville Stadium

Fantastic experience: Lovely sports facilities and a great heritage centre for the Paralympics movement. A must see for sports history lovers. Stoke Mandeville stadium is the birthplace of Paralympics!

Fantastic experience: Being used as a COVID inoculation centre. Easy to use and reasonable parking though can be a bit tight for old people. Efficient, though occasionally a slow person who is disorganised holds things up.

Fantastic experience: Winter Covid Booster, good parking, amazing NHS Volunteers checking you in and directing you onto site. Easy check in once inside. Well organised with ample staff. No queue on the day I went but everything set up in case it got busier. Recommend booking online.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful stadium and facilities including disabled sport, gym, swimming pool, large sports hall, running and athletics track as well as an on site cafe serving delicious food. They also have a hotel too.

Fantastic experience: Brought elderly Father here for his covid jab. It's the fourth time here for that purpose and each time it has been very well organised and the staff and volunteers have always been exceptionally helpful and friendly. God bless the NHS.

Fantastic experience: This isn't a review for the stadium. This is specifically a review for the whole team at the Gutman centre organising the vaccinations. You are all Angels sent down from God literally. May God bless you all. Beautiful mannerisms, attitude, etiquette. If our government had the organisation and brains that you lovely lot had, there wouldn't be any problems in our country. Praise indeed? You deserve it.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this fitness centre for the last 3.5 years. It has many facilities. Perhaps the membership cost seems to be a bit expensive, >£30/month, but I think it is a good value for unlimited access to the gym, semi-olympic swimming pool and all sorts of classes. The staff is nice, helpful, polite. Very good anti Covid measures in place since this craziness has been started.

Fantastic experience: Went to get our booster injections there. The whole operation ran like clockwork the helpers and NHSstaff were fantastic, efficient and cheerful. What could have been a trial was so smooth and easy. A big well done and thank you to all concerned.

Fantastic experience: Thus is a great venue. It has received a good deal of development over the past few years enhancing both the swimming pool and on site gym. Currently being used as a vaccination centre it is well organised and efficient.

Fantastic experience: My mother and myself had our COVID- 19 booster jabs on Saturday at the Gutterman Stadium. Everything went so smoothly from the wheelchair for my mother ,the administration of the vaccine to all the volunteers. It was such a relief as my mother hasn't been out much this last 2 years. Fantastic experience: My Wife & I had Our Booster Jabs here yesterday & I must admit it was So Efficient, from the moment you enter the Car Park to leaving every Volunteer we met was Happy & More than just helpfull. Inside The Stadium because it was Halloween a lot of The Staff wore Witches Hats & were enjoying the atmosphere. We expected some of the Men to swoop by on Broomsticks!! They All made it a Good Experience. Thank You All.

Fantastic experience: Very controlled Vaccination Centre, there seems to be so much emphasis on Everyone's Health & Safety including their own. You feel rather safe here. Various Volunteers & health Professionals in this massive operation. I feel proud to make Buckinghamshire my second home. Very Efficient and Health Conscious. Very good indeed.

Fantastic experience: The thrills! The suspense! The drama! Stoke Mandeville stadium really is the place to go to get vaccinated against a world-ravaging virus. The staff were friendly; the parking was free and I even got a sticker for being so brave. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I went up to get my booster vaccination as I'm an old codger who is apparently vulnerable. There were loads of volunteers there, a great friendly atmosphere and an efficiency that's brilliant. No idea what the gymnasium facilities and athletics tracks are like but I would imagine first class being Stoke Mandeville.

Fantastic experience: I am needle phobic. The lady remembered me and my panic attack from last time. I explained it was having to stand in the main hall waiting and being able to see all the equipment and people having their jabs as the booths are all open that set of my panic attack when I had my first jab. I asked could I wait outside and then go in once a booth was free. They were very accommodating and I had a very kind lady escort me from my car to the hall, she organised a booth for me and walked me to it as I had to keep my eyes closed or I could see the everything that set me off last time. This whole experience was so much better than the first. As she said they are learning how to best look after us reluctant needle phobic individuals. I was very impressed by the improvements in the service. Thank you to everyone involved.

Fantastic experience: Only visited for my vaccine jab, but seems like a great, spacious place. Running track and tennis courts outside amd loads of parking.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility. I attended this venue for the first time to have my second covid 19 vaccine. From the parking attendants to the lovely Red Cross volunteer and the vaccination nurse Thank-you. .only waited for a minute before being seen.

Fantastic experience: Great placefir disabled people. And the staff are friendly and very helpful. My Friend took part in thier disable shooting competition recently and came away with a Sliver and Bronze medals Professional organised competition and venue.

Fantastic experience: Although small the information about the history is very informative. I learned so much there. I've not used the facilities as yet but the are accessible to wheelchair users and is good for people with disabilities. Saw a lot of wheelchair users there

The changing rooms are always clean and staff are willing to help you with any questions, particularly Lisa at the main reception, who went out of her way to switch my children's swim class times to a more suitable one. Thanks Lisa!

Fantastic experience: The wife and I use the swimming pool which is very nice. The temperature of the pool is just right and we have used it for a general swim and aqua fit lessons. Staff are very friendly and helpful, just a shame that some of the lockers in the changing rooms were broken. Apart from that the rest of the centre is very clean and well looked after.
