Fantastic experience: Life changing ! Enjoy coming to sessions, never enjoyed exercise before. It’s fun targeted and makes me feel happy and energised. Made me aware of what my body needs in regards to fuel and quality and able to make better choices.

Fantastic experience: Well...7 sessions in and I am (much to my surprise ) really enjoying every one. Being unfit, old and overweight I wasn't sure this would be the right environment for me, but the coaches are brilliant at adapting the training to suit all abilities. Regular contact is excellent, and I am confident I have found the right gym to sort my health and mobility out.

Fantastic experience: I found the sessions very well organised, working well within a tight 45 min time scale. The coaching staff are attentive and give good feed back to everyone in the group. The sessions are well prepared and tailored to push and stretch to get the best out of everyone. Good regular emails with advice and information which goes hand in hand with the training sessions. Some of the small negatives will hopefully be addressed with the move to new bigger premises in the near future.

Fantastic experience: We signed up to the 30 Day Challenge aware that it was now or never regarding our future health and fitness! We have both really enjoyed the sessions so much so that we have now signed up to continue. A great team of friendly knowledgeable trainers helping us all the way.

Fantastic experience: Cant rate these guys enough!! Took the 30 day trial and enjoyed every session. The accountability and guidance is top notch and the trainers motivate you to push harder. Fantastic experience: If you are thinking of doing this my advice is sign up for a trial, you have nothing to lose. I considered this over a period of about 9 months and now I’m here I wish I’d done it sooner! Friendly coaches guide and motivate you on all aspects of your own personal fitness goals and training. There are no egos, it’s all up to you on how hard you want to push yourself and what you as an individual want to achieve. Whatever age, whether you’ve never lifted a weight in your life or you have done a bit of training over the years, the coaches at JMF will help you create a plan which you can stick to so you can reach your health and fitness goals!

Fantastic experience: Originally joined JMF for the 30 Day Challenge however after seeing the improvement in my fitness and strength I knew I wanted to sign up to be a member. The coaches are great at tailoring sessions to meet your needs and everyone is really friendly. I’ve never fully committed myself to exercise on a regular basis but JMF changed this, I would attend a minimum of 3 sessions a week and I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute of it. JMF is more than just your regular gym, the coaches are always on hand to offer support whether it be nutrition, exercise or holding you accountable in order for you to smash your goals. Could not recommend JMF enough.

Fantastic experience: This is the best way to train. Experienced guidance throughout from all of the trainers who are all great. It’s 45 minutes no faffing in and out to get the workout done. A group of like- minded people who have a positive attitude. A framework to use for extra support. Daf is my ‘personal trainer’ I trust him completely and he pushes me when he knows I can do more which I know I wouldn’t do if I was in the gym on my own. I love it! It’s become an embedded routine for me now. Great volume of classes so it fits around even the most demanding schedules. Thanks team JML you ROCK.

Fantastic experience: Really excellent team who tailor their support to your needs. Just the right kind of pressure to maintain your engagement, but not too much so as to scare you away! Signing up for the longer term was a no brainer.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to attend my first session, what with not being a 'gym person' and being at my most unfit. In hindsight, I shouldn't have worried at all. All the trainers are so friendly, knowledgeable and encourage you to go at your own pace, but know when to make you work harder! The other attendees are welcoming and friendly and the place is really like a huge family, which I love! In just a month I lost weight, noticed my strength growing and saw some physical toning here and there as well! Yaaaas!! The team are always in touch with guidance and advice. It's a fantastic place and the results speak for themselves. Thanks very much!

Fantastic experience: Mike Carter Best decision best gym! After my 30 Day Challenge there was no hesitation in joining JMF as a member. The 45 minute sessions with their friendly vibe are enjoyable, focused, varied and in no sense a chore. The expertise of the coaches is self evident and they are always encouraging, knowledgeable, supportive and keep you on track. If you want to be encouraged and motivated and given a real sense of achievement then JMF is the gym for you. It is never too late to start and this is from a leaner, fitter and stronger 72 year old!

Fantastic experience: I joined JMF early August 2021, this was my feedback following my first six weeks "I was quite taken back by how supportive the team of trainers were during my first week, now six weeks in and I'm still blown away by them all. Check in's from my PT is great, knowing that someone is watching out for not only with my training but but also with my wellbeing. Nothing I have ever experienced with previous gyms/PT. Loving it ?" I'm three months in and still LOVING IT... everything I said back then still stands, the 45 minute sessions fly by I've met some amazing people, fantastic comradery all round. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my 30 Day Challenge, and from day one I have felt totally comfortable in the JMF environment. There's no intimidation, like you get in some gyms, the whole coaching team have been not only knowledgeable and encouraging, they have made the whole experience enjoyable whilst pushing me to progress at the same time. Fantastic experience: I was really apprehensive when start my 30 day challenge as I was no gym goer, but it was an amazing experience so much so, that I joined after my challenge was complete and I have been enjoying every minute of it since. The personal trainers have been totally amazing & supportive throughout my journey especially before my wedding. I would highly recommend coming along and talking to the personal trainers as the environment is so friendly and buzzing, and it the gym feels has a real friendly vibe to it.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic atmosphere with thoroughly professional and motivated trainers. Helpful and easy-to-understand nutritional advice. I signed up for the 30-day challenge and obtained EXCEPTIONAL results!! . My Styku weight went from 103-94.4 Kgs in exactly 4 weeks!!! That's NINETEEN POUNDS OFF in old money. 10/10 guys!!!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality JMF is a fantastic gym. I have been a member since 2019, even through covid they have been incredibly supportive. The small group training is superb. The coaches know what they are talking about and are fab at what they do. It is friendly, non judgemental and has a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always struggled with motivation (usually short lived blasts and then I’m done) and consistency. My experience at JMF was great and, as usual, I was extremely driven at the start but when I got injured it could have quite easily died there and then. The guys at JMF are the reason my experience didn’t end there. They kept me motivated, adjusted sessions for me so I could still be involved (and benefit from training) and have always kept things interesting for me. On top of all that, the guys have always been able to have a laugh with me as well as keep me focussed (a hard balance sometimes). I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed any form of physical activity as much as I have this and this is what keeps me coming back.

Fantastic experience: After COVID 19 I needed something to get my health on track. I joined the 30 day challenge, and saw a noticble difference at the end. I've never been part of a gym before, and the coaches have been great at explaining and helping me. My health has been a cause for concern, but with the personal nature of the sessions, the trainers are aware, and are very supportive and attentive. I have signed up for a year, and long may it continue!

Fantastic experience: I have always avoided the gym as I never thought it was a place for me. When I joined JMF it was to do the 30 challenge to see if it was for me.... nearly 18 months later I’m still here! As other have said, the team at JMF have your best interests at the forefront of all they do, I am stronger, leaner and fitter than I have ever been as a result. I have no hesitation in recommending James McLaren Fitness to anyone who’ll listen!

Fantastic experience: After spending many years between gyms, becoming bored and unmotivated, I needed a place that would help me progress and achieve my goals. I was recommended to try JMF, I am so glad I did and am still here after 16 months. It is so much more than a gym, a community, support, nutrition and many fun events, all with achieving my pb's in strength and fitness levels, I am the strongest and fittest I have ever been. It's not a place that is pretentious like some gyms, it's all about achieving your best, having the support and encouragement along the way. Come give it a try :)

Fantastic experience: I joined JMF two years ago and I have never looked back. It has kept me sane. It is my escape. I’ve gained so much confidence and hopefully this will continue to grow. The support you get is incredible. The atmosphere is amazing and I always feel safe. The coaches are always on hand to answer any questions and are an amazing source of support. They are all fab. I cannot recommend James McLaren Fitness enough! Give it a go x

Fantastic experience: I have loved my time so far at JMF! I was skeptical at first. I had done CrossFit for the last 7 years, then working out on my own for the last year. I’m still able to incorporate heavy weightlifting (which I love), and I really enjoy the burn option at the end of each session. I love group fitness, the coaches are very helpful as well as encouraging. I feel like I have progressed back to a fitness level I enjoy and feel I can keep growing at JMF!

Fantastic experience: I joined JMF nearly four years ago and I honestly can’t imagine it not being a part of my life now. I’m so much fitter and stronger than I was when I started and I have also got a much better balance in my life after years of yo-yo dieting before I joined. In recent months I’ve had some health issues and all the coaches have been amazing at making the adjustments I need to the workouts. If you’re thinking of joining, I’d say give it a go... you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Fantastic experience: I won a free trial at JMF last month and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. Everyone at JMF was extremely welcoming and there was no judgement passed at any point. I really liked working in small groups as it made me feel a part of something rather than training alone. Also having the personal training was great as it made me work harder than I would on my own. The advice and support given within the month was really helpful. The training was hard work but also fun. In my time spent training here I lost 20.9 centimetres in total and around 6 lbs. Thank you so much for having me for the trial. I would definitely recommend anyone joining as I had such good experience!

Fantastic experience: Cant believe what I’ve achieved in just 8wks, friends and family who’ve seen the difference in my physical health have been overwhelmingly impressed. When I first spoke to JMF I liked what I heard, but wasn’t overly convinced. I like being physically active, but struggle finding time and motivation. JMF have made it so easy, it’s flexible and convenient. The PT’s encouragement and drive in sessions means achieving your goals comes so much easier. Not only this, but JMF also provides friends and support, of whom make such a difference when tackling every day life that drags even the happiest of people down. JMF has really positively changed my life, I feel mentally reenergised, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with James McLaren Fitness for a long time now and absolutely love it. (Although I don’t tell the James’ that!!) I finally found my love for training and they’ve done nothing but support me the whole time. I would 100% recommend these guys to anyone, particularly if you find a ‘normal’ gym an intimidating place to be.

Fantastic experience: James asked me what I wanted to achieve and I said I just want to be myself again. He didn’t understand what I meant, but I wanted to be back to the happy smiley person that I once was. I couldn’t express this without crying. James McClaren Fitness is everything that I was searching for in Suffolk. I moved to Suffolk from Oxford, in Oxford I had a fantastic place to train and the best PT’s with great members. This only made it more challenging to find when I moved. I met with James a few times before actually joining. I was a member of another gym and my trust had been shattered. I wasn’t reaching my goals, I became more depressed, felt that I didn’t fit in, and couldn’t stick to the nutrition programme. when you’re paying out a lot of money you expect more. James didn’t sit there and promise me anything, he didn’t give me a meal plan or strict dieting. What he did do was listen! I told him about Little niggles I have with my body and that training has depressed me because of the pain (something that previously wasn’t listened to) I told him what I liked and didn’t like, I told him about my lifestyle. James understands that everyone is different and he works with each of us differently, he knows what works for one will not work for another. James will always say we work in solutions not problems, and when you come off track or get frustrated in training he will ask you what the solution is, as he knows he has already given it to you, You may have just forgot! Other things I love about JMF The Members, they are the most supportive and wonderful members I have ever met. Each and everyone of us will welcome anyone that walks through the door. My training log book, if you can’t monitor it, you can’t manage it Weekly check In- use these so James can help you and know what’s happening with you The laughs we all have whilst training hard, so bloody hard. NO MORE PAIN WHEN I TRAIN Being back to my bouncy, happy self The free coffee before my 6am sessions :)

Fantastic experience: I joined JMF because I knew I wanted to work with weights to get toned and strong but was scared to try any excercises without someone talking me through them to prevent injury. I tried Crossfit but it didn't give me the attention required to achieve this. One-on-one PT sessions were too expensive which is why the JMF small group sessions looked appealing. I started on the 30-day trial and within the first session my expectations were massively exceeded. Not only does it feel like you're getting one-to-one training as both James's are so supportive and always checking you're doing the excercises correctly but the rest of the members create such a fun and motivated atmosphere that all together, it actually makes me look forward to going to the gym for the first time ever! The programmes are varied and both James's make sure you're being challenged at the right level and it's just been great feeling strong, happy and healthy, I really started seeing results after a month and didn't want to stop there! The way you book the sessions makes it really easy to plan into your day and when you arrive there's tea and coffee on hand with an upstairs seating area if you want to get there early and have a catch up with the group. Best gym I've ever joined and definitely value for money, couldn't recommend JMF enough! Thanks to both the James's!

Fantastic experience: Over the years I've wasted far too much money paying for gym memberships and never actually turning up. James McLaren Fitness changed that for me and for the first time in my life I actually look forward to working out. The small group sessions are tailored to your own abilities, focussed and fun. As a complete novice I was never made to feel like my (lack of) ability could impact the seasoned athletes and I've been able to progress at my own pace. The members are great and create a supportive community that James should be proud to have created.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the James's enough for giving me back my sanity! I Live my life at a million miles an hour and I have two small children, the Gym is MY TIME to blow off steam. I only ever intended to do the 30 day trial but instantly fell in love with the welcoming and safe environment. Fantastic experience: I love everything about my personal training experience. James M and James T help you achieve everything you want and more. I was suppose to join a year ago and chickened out. But I decided enough is enough and I need to loose weight and get fit! I joined on a 30 day trial in September/ October. When I messaged James M to start my trial he remembered me from my enquiry the year before ‍♀️ But he was so happy for me to be joining. The worse bit was stepping through the doors on my trial day, but i did and have never looked back! I have signed up for a whole 13 months! I go 3 times a week small group training and I have now started team training. It’s all so much fun and I’m hooked! Thank you James M and James T ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I worked with James for over a year and even though I thought I was well-versed in fitness, I saw progress working with him that I never achieved on my own even at my best! He provided tailored workouts to work with my goals, and even sends out recipes and bit of advice to the private group you're added to once you join up. He's always there if you have questions and genuinely cares about seeing you succeed. If you're questioning joining -- DON'T. Just do it. Best decision you could make if you're looking to change your level of fitness.

Fantastic experience: Joining James McLaren Fitness was the best decision I had ever made! I had been on a personal fitness journey for so long but had kind of got lost along the way and didn't know what way to turn. I reached out to James and he was fantastic. He took the time to explain exactly how he operates and invited me down for a chat. He got to know me and my lifestyle before recommending how he could help me and none of it was dictating what I should and shouldn't do or saying I had to ban all my favourite food, it was about what would be right and sustainable for me, very welcome after trying and failing to follow a clean eating lifestyle that was heavily promoted to me elsewhere! I knew from the first time I met James that it was totally for me and his support from day 1 was fantastic. Having a blip or a bad day? Reach out and James gets you right back on track! Sessions are fun with a great bunch of people and James encourages you to be the best you can be and helps guide you to reach your personal goals, I always felt I was in good hands. I had to leave recently for personal reasons and I can definitely say I miss James and the other members (I didn't think I would ever see the day I would actually miss training!!) hopefully I will make it back one day in the future. Anyone wanting to invest in themselves and their health and fitness should definitely join, you certainly won't regret it! At the end of my journey not only can I say I am stronger and fitter I am also proud that I managed to achieve being able to do proper unassisted press ups, something I had always wanted to do but had never progressed beyond my knees until teaming up with James!

Fantastic experience: The best thing I have done, I am finally motivated and seeing results, I can become slack but James definitely brings out the best in me and works me for the results I'm achieving, I was just going to sign up for 4 weeks and 6 weeks later I am still loving it. Fantastic experience: I signed up with James as I wanted to train for walking a marathon and to lose weight for a family wedding - he helped me do both! I started training sessions 3 times a week and James showed me how just a few simple changes to my diet could reduce calories and increase protein intake. In 8 weeks I lost the best part of one stone and went on to complete the marathon 50 minutes quicker than the time I was aiming for! James pushes you hard but his sessions are fun and he supports you both in and out of the gym. For the first time in a long time I am feeling more confident in myself. Highly recommended!
