Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to a gym in years and wouldn't have know where to start but James and the team talk you through everything and even adapt anything you cant do. There are classes and gym sessions and everyone works at their own level. I especially like the small classes. Everyone is very friendly if you want to jump start your fitness would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Joined 12 months ago and have received constant support and motivation which has helped me lose 6 stone and I'm now training for my first marathon. Probably the most friendly gym you could ask for as it's one big happy family and everyone has fun.

James fitness offers a truly professional, personalised approach and enthusiastic coaches. Every client is looked after in a genuine and highly personal way with individual programmes for progression and life enhancing change. Fantastic experience: I have been a member of JF for over a year. During lockdown the service they provided was amazing. They moved the business seamlessly from a physical gym to an online service. This service kept structure to my day during this unsettling time. When government guidelines changed JF introduced some socially distanced outside sessions which eased me back into exercising again with others. The gym is now back open and the staff at JF have gone over and above to create a safe environment. I’m loving being back at the gym and can’t wait to gain my strength I had built up before lockdown. JF provides a supportive no nonsense guide to nutrition and exercise and worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been amazed at how fast my fitness and body shape have changed under the direction of the brilliant team at James Fitness! The group sessions are just great - the abilities and physical limitations of each and every participant is taken into account; everybody is always working really hard but THEIR hard, and there is so much encouragement to progress at a pace that pushes you but is realistic and achievable. I started off not able to do a sit-up, but instead of being intimidated by a class full of super-achievers, I found myself surrounded by friendly, non-judgmental people of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels. This is hands down the most comfortable I have ever felt in an exercise environment. I don’t spend any time worrying about how I look, or how I compare to the next person, which frees my mind to focus on getting the most out of every session. Thank you guys, you are awesome!

Fantastic experience: I've been with James Fitness for a short time, however I have noticed changes within myself both physically & mentally. James and the team are amazing, highly positive, motivated and full of so much knowledge. They go that extra mile everytime, nothing is never a problem. I cant wait to see how my journey progresses with their support. They are so focused on helping each and everyone of us. Highly recommend James Fitness

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to James for over a year now twice every week for hourly sessions. If you had told me I could do that at my age (89) I would have argued it was impossible, however I really look forward each week and James has proved that it has done me a power of good.

Fantastic experience: James Fitness has helped me achieve goals that I have been trying to achieve for years at other gyms. By being given better advice, on exercise and nutrition, in a friendly environment I have maintained my weight loss. I can’t recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I joined James Fitness 8mths ago to improve my strength for running. I love my class and look forward to it every week. It's varied so you never get bored , everyone is friendly and helps out. James explains everything & adapts exercises if needed. The online support and advice is excellent from exercises, nutrition, alternatives ideas. All members are like a family helping & encouraging . Highly recommended you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for Shape Up for Summer. I am really enjoying the experience. The classes never exceed 8 in number and the instructors are always attentive and helpful. I don't feel intimidated going into the gym. You work hard, but it's worth it, I have lost weight and have more energy already. You are given nutritional support and advice, and James is always very prompt to respond to any questions you may have whether during the session or away from the gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been training with James & India for a few years, would highly recommend, I do the group classes as I found this cost-effective, so I can train 4 days a week. They stand out from other Gyms, not only working around an injury you may have but making you stronger to prevent you got getting an injury in the first place. They also help with nutrients and help guide you in the right direction. I love this place and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I’d had fairly bad experiences of gyms before...going for the assessment and then going only once or twice and in one instance never returning but having a contract for a year! I plucked up the courage to try again when I saw a ladies only weights class with James Fitness. I’ve loved it ever since You do group training sessions rather than turn up on your own trying to work out what you should be doing. James and India are fabulous coaches, really encouraging and see you as an individual. I enjoy my sessions, am not afraid of asking questions and they give you tips and excellent advice on eating habits, how to plan meals and understand that we’re normal and life sometimes gets in the way! I’m far more confident now with weights and equipment (I even go on the treadmill which I’ve never ever done before for fear of being on You’ve been Framed ). I’ll go to sessions not knowing who else will be there but because everyone is so friendly and all in the same boat (just trying to do the best they can) it never feels like you’re the odd one out with a load of gym bunnies looking immaculate in matching Lycra or pumped up guys lifting massive weights to impress. It’s the best thing I’ve done for myself and the fact I’ve been going for over a year speaks for itself!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to James fitness for about 18 months now. It’s great, I’ve never felt so comfortable in a gym environment. I love every class I go to and leave on a high. It’s so friendly and the fitness and nutritional advice is invaluable. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants small group or personal training. Give it a go, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: I love my small group training sessions with James and India. I’ve never been one for the gym but realise as I get older that keeping myself fit is so beneficial, for so many reasons. For one it helps me control my weight as I don’t want to eat rubbish or ‘empty calories’ anymore. I want to fuel my body with good stuff! Also I feel great after I’ve exercised. I’m never made to feel I’m keeping anyone back, there’s always a good mix of ages and abilities in the groups. James and India are so supportive ( as are group members ... we are all on a similar journey anyway). I recommend you give it a try and I bet you’ll love it.

Fantastic experience: I joined James Fitness in April and it's the best thing I have ever done! I've joined countless gyms in the past but never enjoyed any of them and always felt intimidated. At James Fitness everyone is so friendly and supportive and the encouragement you get is brilliant. I even look forward to going now and hate it when I have to miss a class. They are also great at giving nutritional advice without being condescending. All round fab service.

Fantastic experience: Started using JM as a fitness coach/personal trainer a couple of months ago to help me recover from a running injury and to focus on specific strengthening work to help on better running form. Very helpful and not pushy in his approach. Definitely wants you to progress towards your goals and is a really nice approachable guy. Would definitely recommend him if you're in the area

Fantastic experience: James @ James fitness is an excellent instructor, he is very knowledgeable about nutrition and what it takes for the ordinary man/ woman on the street to become the fittest they can, he inspires you to go that little bit further and pushes you when needed. Everyone I have met at James Fitness, including the other staff members are friendly and supportive. I look forward to each visit.

Fantastic experience: I have never ever liked the gym - but I really really like this gym. I've always liked to keep fit, I play badminton and use to run and had a personal trainer for a while until I got some injuries and he moved out of the area. Then it all went to pot and I was looking for something to motivate me again and help me get fit. I didn't think I'd like James' Gym - but I love it. It is like having a personal trainer and doing group sessions all in one place. I'm back on track, feeling and looking fitter. Thank you James and India.

Fantastic experience: James and India are an awesome team. This really is the gym for people who hate the gym. I tried many before and was put off by over subscribed classes and everyone seeming to know what they were doing except me! Small group training is the perfect solution. I genuinely look forward to classes and working with a group of supportive, non judgemental people, who never cease to make me laugh. The online family that comes as part of the package is brilliant for offering nutritional support, advice and for sharing ideas.

Fantastic experience: Well ive been gym going for some time now but after chatting to James fitness and seeing what he can offer me I made the change to train at James fitness he's knowledge is unavailable and very like 121 very small groups and so varied fun and great results glad to have made change

Fantastic experience: James fitness so far have been brilliant. I have lost so much confidence but the team are very welcoming and encouraging which has left me feel confident and positive I can get to where I want to be. I have a long road ahead but I already feel like I can achieve this with the support. The sessions themselves are hard going but that’s a good thing, although it was nice to see the personal trainers accommodated for those who have injuries or weakness In certain areas allowing them to still participate. I moved to Herne bay in February and I feel like I’m on the road to a happy healthy confident future. Times of sessions are also very good hopefully allowing busy working people or families to fit it in at least some part of your day. Prices yes initially you could think it’s a lot if your income is low however weigh it up with the happiness and a better healthier life for you and your family I would say is well worth it. Love it!!

Fantastic experience: I’m not your typical gym person, but my husband convinced me to join James Fitness after he had been training with him for over a year and getting great results. I have really enjoyed each session I have done. James, India and Tom have encouraged me, knowing that I am capable of so much more than I think I am. The trainers and other members have all been so friendly and welcoming that I needn’t have been nervous about joining. The continued nutritional support is really helping too! I don’t feel that once my session is over, I am out the door and forgotten about just like a lot of bigger gyms, but James makes sure we keep in touch and by doing so make better choices. In just one week I have noticed differences in how I feel, both physically and mentally. I only wish I’d joined sooner.

Fantastic experience: Great Trainer and great Gym, providing a wide range of group and 1-2-1 sessions, trained with James and india in both sessions, it's great fun and they are both so knowledgable. Would highly recommend these guys
