Fantastic experience: I was one of the first members when they built this gym. But I had a few years break. Just returned and it looks great. All the machines are working, there is WiFi, drinks machines, clean toilets, good music, excellent equipment. Gold's gym is dirty, leaking, no drinks machine, no WiFi, hair in all the showers - it's disgusting. But The Gym Dagenham is great! Happy to be back and sorry I left

Fantastic experience: I prefer this gym compared to chadwell heath. It's a little bit further away from me but worth the travel. Its spacious and has all the equipments that you need for a good workout!

Fantastic experience: I've been working out in this gym in the last few couple of months and I think it's definitely one of the best in the area. The prices are affordable and the quality is amazing. I love the diverse range of equipment which helped me to make very nice progresses in the past few months such as losing 12 kg weight and the fact that it's always open makes my schedule more flexible. Definitely a well deserved 5* imo.

Positive experience: Good quality gym within walking distance of my home making it a convenient trip whenever I want a workout. Staff pleasant to chat with and deal with especially those in management. Some equipment broken, management try to fix the broken equipment as fast as they can though. Areas I would like to see an improvement is a slight expansion of the weight room upstairs as it is always crammed there compared to the other areas of the gym, maybe cutting the amount of treadmills upstairs in half would allow for slightly more room in that area allowing for a slight expansion of that area which would be nice. Value for money wise it is a decent enough gym for the monthly cost, I would just like to see some changes here and there like making the weight room upstairs more spacious.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to work a bit pricey for what they provide as it is a basic gym with any extras costing more on top of your monthly membership and its not 24 hours ‍♂️32 pounds a month being there base price.

Fantastic experience: 24 hrs Gym, it has all the equipment to get fit. It is not too crowded which is a good thing. They also have a app to check how busy is the gym and a touch free access through the app. Free parking outside the Gym.

Fantastic experience: I held off reviewing since returning to the gym in april as I wanted to see the standards etc. The staff have been amazing, every time I have needed help they have gone beyond what they needed too. The gym has always been clean when I have visited and I have tried going all different times, it was a little too busy for me at around 7pm but so glad they have a limit on the amount of people that can get in. I got suspended for not putting my kit away after use which I thought was good as it means they really care about keeping the place tidy. I can't recommend this gym more and so far I have got 4 friends to join me as well. Thank you for the great service

Fantastic experience: All in all - can't ask for a better gym at this price. Really a great and affordable place. Does get busy around evening time and might have to wait for an equipment a bit, but other than that

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym since it opened at the start of 2017, and its probably one of the best gyms ive been too, first of all its very spacious with lots of equipment to choose from, the equipment is also good quality, the staff are friendly and never had issues with this gym. There is also free parking available and a bus stop with routes 173 and 287. However try your best to avoid going during peek hours as it gets very busy around 7pm and can feel a bit overcrowded during peek hours

Fantastic experience: I expected this gym to have some misgivings given the price but I was pleasantly surprised. Free parking, plentiful and decent equipment for cardio and weight training. This gym is cheaper than the gym I usually go to but much better in terms of equipment. The gym is also pretty clean and not grotty like you could imagine a budget gym to be. The downside but to be expected are the changing and showering facilities which are budget and not great but that is to be expected for the price. Opening 24 hours is massive advantage and allows you to train whenever you feel like it

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, I honestly do. Most of the other members are amazing and friendly. Always willing to help a fellow member out. I've not paid for a PT session, a couple of the PTs are really helpful. Giving me tips when I first started and always willing to lend a hand. Today Elliot helped me achieve 10kg over my personal best with squats. He didn't have to and I wasn't paying him so very grateful

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in the area. Bright and airy with good natural light. Staff are always helpful when needed and the kit is very good. Lifting platform and hack squat are my favourite.

Fantastic experience: Very good value for money - it's huge, got loads of equipment and plenty of benches - small chance to wait in a queue to workout. And there's perfect water temperature in showers - just right for me. My only small wish would be if the temperature in mens changing rooms could be couple degrees higher - it's quite fresh there (assuming for ventilation)

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at the gym for nearly 2 year and have been very impressed with the service. I have been using a personal trainer there this year called Amarli he has help me with my weigh loss and cardio. His food plans have also helped me change my eating habits for the better, I highly recommend the gym and the personal trainers.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, well equipped. Gets a bit busy in the evening and the young crowd messing about, not really training and not replacing weights can get a bit annoying.

Fantastic experience: Having started out at the Chadwell Heath/Goodmayes branch, I was happy to try a different location in hope of an improvement. I can honestly say that I found exactly that and then some with this branch. People seem friendly, same with the staff who also seem approachable and polite. I was a little dubious due to its location not being the best of areas but it’s really won me over. People don’t stand over you arrogantly while you’re working out, unlike the afore mentioned branch. Parking is free with no time limit, which is even better seeing as it’s a 3 hour limit at Chadwell Heath, so you can easily fit in the whole workout and shower without worrying about getting a ticket. Feels like it has a lot more space and a lot more cardio machines than the prior branch with a huge area for weights/free weights upstairs in comparison. A bigger area for classes downstairs and it just seems like there’s less attitude here. I’d recommend this branch all day long and even at peak time’s it stays at a decent level of people which shocked me after the last branch...it was like attempting to stuff clowns in a small car for the world record, but with added attitude thrown in for good measure. Only downside I’ve noticed is that the toilets aren’t always well maintained and the showers aren’t adjustable for temperature, this is a slight let down as it’s nice to take a cold shower after a work out sometimes but it’s not anything major. Classes seem good and it’s 24 hour to boot. Very happy I changed location of my home gym to this one, so far so good.

Fantastic experience: It's right next to my house haha well the equipment is really good and there is at least 2 of everything. The only downfall is the dumbbells don't go higher than 38kg

Fantastic experience: Good price. Lots of equipment. Kept clean. Staff are always available and happy to help. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly suitable for low confidence people. 1 downfall is seeing McDonald's across the parking lot.....easy weakness

Fantastic experience: I decided to make this my home gym and I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere is definitely safer,cleaner and more welcoming compared to the Barking branch. I love this gym and feel right at home ❤

Fantastic experience: Very good amount of equipment, gym is clean and tidy, there is always somewhere to park. Staff are friendly and helpful. They offer advice when you are doing something that might injur you. In most gyms they let u carry on doing it wrong (5 stars for the staff alone). Most importantly even at peak times this gym is not packed and there aren't many machine hoggers like other gyms I've been to (this is only at the Dagenham one, other gym groups still have that problem) Great value for money :).

Fantastic experience: A fatty priced basic gym with plenty of equipment. It's open 24/7 with classes running all week. Parking is free. There's no pool ect but that's part of the basic package. A shame there's a McDonald's over the road!

Fantastic experience: Impressed! Belong to another gym which I am paying double the monthly membership of this one. The one I belong to is bigger but now is looking tired and poorly maintained with things missing or broken! So decided to look at “The Gym” Smaller than my gym but wow. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. The machines are of high quality and set out perfectly. Upstairs even more machines and free weights. Not a posers gym so I think all levels would feel comfortable here. Quality machines and great feel to the place and open 24/7 Will be joining ASAP.

Fantastic experience: It is a really large gym open 24 hours with free parking directly outside. They hold regular classes here and have most of the exercise machines you will need to get or maintain fitness. As the classes are on the ground floor, it can get busy and noisy before, during and after classes but the first floor is much quieter and also has a large free weights area. I'm very surprised there are only 2 stepper machines in the whole gym so that would be my only grumble.

Fantastic experience: So after a teething period the gym has really really upped its game. So many free weight options its awesome! Tons of squat racks and even more benches with two Olympic lifting frames. Dumbbells could be heavier as they only go up to 38kg but thats ok :-)

Fantastic experience: As a person who used to make every excuse not to go to the gym I'm now coming 4 days a week, lots of equipment, friendly staff and great classes included in the price. I have even got a personal trainer - Wafa - who really puts me through it but she's really encouraging, never lets me give up as she is as determined as me to see me reach my goals.

Fantastic experience: My regular gym. Has a verity of equipment and not a shortage of them as most are doubled so you will always be able to find a machine to work out on a particular body part. Well spaced and friendly staff who are always willing to help and advise.
