Our state-of-the-art gym boasts 30 stations with a wide range of cardio equipment, fixed and free weights, plus floor-to-ceiling windows to help you really take in the scenery while you work out.

You’ll find something for all ages and abilities in our daily schedule of fitness classes, with options ranging from high-energy spinning and circuits to restorative yoga and Pilates. Our first-floor studio is home to all our classes and overlooks our 25-metre swimming pool, where you can enjoy a leisurely swim, participate in Aquacise or take advantage of our dedicated sessions for families and the over 50s.

Our Swim School follows the ASA national plan to offer swimming lessons that help both children and adults become stronger swimmers and gain confidence in the water. Our junior gym sessions are a great way for kids to get active, and we also offer pay-and-play access to our astroturf for all age groups. Whether you like to get competitive on the pitch or simply fancy a kick-about for fun, Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles welcomes you.

With floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the beautiful bay, our 30-station gym boasts a wide range of cardio equipment and free weights alongside specialist pieces including a multi-cable training machine and a First Degree E-720 Fluid Cycle XT bike.

Our knowledgeable instructors can devise a gym programme to help you achieve your fitness goals, and they’re also experienced at helping people who have limited mobility or are rehabilitating after illness or injury.

Our daily schedule of fitness classes includes high-energy spinning and circuit training as well as restorative Pilates and yoga, which are both safe and effective ways of improving strength, flexibility and balance.

All abilities over the age of 16 are welcome and our fully qualified instructors are always happy to help you tailor the classes to your individual needs.

With a depth range of 0.9–2.0 meters, easy-access steps and a hoist, it’s accessible to everyone and offers a weekly timetable with dedicated sessions for families and the over 50s, plus Aquacise classes and general lane swimming.

Lessons in our Swim School are offered for everyone from three-month-old babies right up to advanced sessions for adults, which are delivered in groups or as one-to-one sessions.

Courses run over 50 weeks of the year and all lessons are delivered according to the ASA national plan to ensure that at all stages our Swim School students gain confidence in the water and improve their swimming skills.
