Fantastic experience: I'm actually a member of another DL club. I visit occasionally and Colchester DL compares very favourably to Chigwell. If I lived closer I'd prefer to have this as my home centre.

Fantastic experience: I've had a few guest passes now and absolutely love it. I do want to join but £100 a month just seems touch much. I would join if there was any flexibility on monthly fee 100% it's amazing

Fantastic experience: Probably one of the nicer david lloyds. Staff are always super friendly and i dont often have issues with space unless its the new year.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful David Lloyd, the inside is to a top standard. I wish the spa had another jacuzzi as it was very busy. The jacuzzi has built in seats so can only fit a small number of people in even though it is quite big. Outdoor spa area is really nice. The cafe is lovely and the food is always freshly cooked. Parking was easy.

Fantastic experience: Every staffs in DL Colchester club are so helpful and nice, I'm glad can join this club and I will recommend everyone should come to feel the happiness in person.

Fantastic experience: Apart from the David loyd Northwood this is the best loyd I've been too. You get what you pay for I've tried all other gyms and nothing comes close. Would recommend 100% the negatives I see are just super fussy people. You can't please everyone!

Fantastic experience: First time I have been and my grandchildren love it lots of thing to do staff brilliant I'm only unhappy for one thing I'm gluten free there was not menu I'm reposted this review as someone got back to me I went to the bar and ask for a menu for gluten free but the young lady show me it but the menu had only a few thing in it You had vegetarian and vegan food but nothing for me please remember that there are lots off people that has gluten free so can we had a better understanding for this

Fantastic experience: The gym was absolutely amazing, everything was new to me. But the amphosire was incredible, my personal Trainer Maddy gave me other brilliant work out. Great to be back !

Fantastic experience: My wife and I signed up for this club in July and have been attending multiple times per week since. We both feel the membership is definitely at the premium end of what Colchester has to offer but are happy paying this for what we get in return. I primarily use the gym and the spa facilities my wife attends multiple classes and we do spin together. We tend to go at opening time during the week and it is never busy. I've never had to wait for a piece of equipment or machine. Spin is a popular class, so if you want to attend outside of office hours, you must book in advance, but it's worth it - Dexter is a fantastic instructor and we've both made great progress with our fitness. The spa facilities are great and seem to be better than rival clubs nearby. The club does encourage families and activities for children and if we attend on a Saturday for example, there are many families enjoying the facilities. They're well behaved and don't get in the way. I'm pleased to say though, that at the times we choose to attend, facilities such as the indoor pool are reserved for Adults only. In addition, there is a dedicated changing room for families and children. After reading some of the reviews on here I was shocked at how negative other people's experience has been. I cannot vouch for the WiFi as I attend to exercise rather than research and personally I don't care for apps on the exercise machines. I tend to follow an exercise programme, so won't be on any one machine long enough to warrant external entertainment. In terms of cleanliness and covid19 care, I cannot fault the club. They offer every service they can and really are going over and beyond to keep the club clean and spotless.

Positive experience: On the whole a good place but as adults it’s a bit much having to suffer when the kids are off school you don’t get to use outdoor or indoor golden time adults only! It seems kids splash time in outdoor pool takes most all day and indoor pool full of kids! Some of us don’t want to have to get up at the crack of dawn to use pool for some peace, why don’t David Lloyd still apply adult only time in summer holiday??

Positive experience: The facilities are good but beware of their pricing. They will basically try to get as much cash as possible out of you. From my discussions not everyone pays the same rate for exactly the same service.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out and relax, especially at less busy times. Maintenance and breakage was an issue, but investment in 2022 has seen some welcome improvements and fixes, especially in the spa area and pool.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. Vary helpful staff and all round facilities are amazing. Feel comfortable and not looked down at as I am over weight by the staff. Swimming pools are very well kept and outside areas are clean xx

Fantastic experience: Atmosphere is good and it is the best gym I have been to and it is always tidy and I would recommend people to join.

Fantastic experience: Not cheap but it’s an excellent club. The instructors are all of a very high standard and the staff as a whole are friendly and welcoming. It’s family friendly but certainly not over run by children.

Fantastic experience: There's such a nice atmosphere at David Lloyd, really happy I joined. It's nice to go somewhere and be able to go to the gym or do a class, and then sit down and have a nice lunch or dinner afterwards too. I'd also say definitely do a Synrgy class if you are thinking of joining, they are brilliant! They also do member events every now and then so it's great to get to know people. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love being a member of David Lloyd. I was unsure about joining to begin with due to the cost but it's the best money I've ever spent. It isn't just a gym... there is so much more and I actually look forward to going. The Colchester staff are always so helpful and friendly and clearly enjoy working there, which rubs off on us when we are there. I signed up with Josh and I was so impressed with his manner he wasn't pushy, clearly lived his job and just wants members to enjoy the experience too. He is a real asset to the club. I would recommend this club to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Was extremely lucky to win a 6 month membership @ David Lloyd in December and was able to add my sister and both our children! This has been amazing and a fantastic opportunity to spend time together, working out, aqua, using the crèche and the delicious cafe! The staff are so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble! My daughter Sophie particularly loves going as the staff all recognise us now and she loves to have a chat, having cerebral palsy her mobility is poor but since coming to David Lloyd and swimming regularly that has improved greatly xX Thank you so so much for everything we really are enjoying all our time with David Lloyd, it's a huge 5 stars from all of us xx

Fantastic experience: Came along to David Lloyd Colchester on Friday for the first time and was very impressed not only with the club and facilities but with the staff, we were shown around by Wendy who I must say was fantastic at her job and we were very impressed with her level of service
