Lexden Rackets & Fitness Club

Positive experience: Sited next to a private school just off the A12 (and not really in Lexden at all) this sports and social club has a swimming pool, 5 squash courts, small gym and three outdoor floodlit tennis hard courts, plus bar and snack area. The building housing it needs some TLC as it's quite old and a bit ramshackle. Fairly pleasant location though you can always hear the traffic nearby. A sort of down-market David Lloyd's really.

Positive experience: Always a friendly club. Gym adequate and never crowded. Good covid precautions in place

Fantastic experience: Brilliant squash club, great for all ages. Gym facilities are good, a bar serving coffee or beer and an outdoor space. Swimming pool, good and clean

Fantastic experience: Great club with enthusiastic & friendly tennis coaches who have welcomed us as visitors for junior tournaments & inter-club team match nights.
