Fantastic experience: After the pandemic I tried out about 4 boxing & MMA gyms, and no where has been anywhere near as good Urban Prospects. A tight knit team who welcome anybody, with any background and experience level. Some lads I even call close mates now. Kass is an expert in every aspect of MMA. You'll be trained with perfect form, in an array of styles, and even combine multiple arts together. He preaches basic concepts that are actually effective - no overly fancy BS ;) Urban Prospects is my gym for life. 5/5 Gym, trainer, and people.

Fantastic experience: I came into this gym not knowing what to expect, I'll be a 100% honest I discounted it as a place that I won't be staying at very long how wrong I was, I'm now a life long member so long as I stay in this area. The amount of expert knowledge from a ex pro fighter and tips is enough to keep me at the gym pair that with kass's humour, the other students, the intensive spar sessions, the amount your taught vs how much you pay is incredible value for money. You'll be taught bjj to a top level both gi and no gi, catch wrestling which is a lost art! Mma, a lot of boxing head movement and technical skills and muay thai. The amount I'm learning most places would charge you in excess of 100 quid! I got a lot of honesty from kass and being kind of getting tailored training, I really want to compete even though I'm slightly past my sell by date but training here I feel like I'm 20 again!

Fantastic experience: Been here for 6-7 months and started as a beginner, and I can honestly say everybody is very friendly and welcoming no matter if it’s your 2nd year training or your 1st day trying out mma, a very welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Instructor makes for some quality classes and trust me you will have fun while doing so, the way Kasson (the instructor) breaks down each move is very helpful in understanding not only how but also why you do a specific move, if you’re looking for a place to train, this is the place to be, also very reasonable prices!

Fantastic experience: Urban Prospects is one of the best-kept secrets in the West Midlands in terms of martial arts gyms. Albeit unassuming as you walk into the gym, it is easily on par - if not better - than any large mixed martial arts gym in the Birmingham area. Kasson’s passion to share knowledge is apparent immediately, and his joy is evident as you progress as a martial artist. His breadth of knowledge is immense, an accumulation of a career’s worth of training which he is happy for to be shared. You will find progress in each session, provided you are willing to grind, and the advice Kass gives is personalised to each fighter as he quickly picks up on your tendencies. I would be dumbfounded if you could find many coaches with not only the knowledge in all aspects of martial arts but also the willingness to share it as he does. Furthermore, Urban Prospects is diverse in skill-set. Kass has a learned ability to adapt sessions to the skill of his students. Total beginners and experienced fighters are welcome here, provided there is mutual respect. I could not recommend Urban Prospects highly enough, and I would strongly suggest that you check it out.

Fantastic experience: I've floated around several MMA/muay thai gyms over the past few years and couldn't fathom as to why I'd never really 'settled'. Know I know why. Coach kas is not just the most supportive iv trained under but also the most knowledgeable. His attention to detail, understanding of all arts and his ability to break it down to its simplest form to explain and help you grow is second to absolutely no one. The fighters/students are incredibly welcoming, no egos allowed is a big motto, which helped me settle massively, as I am a slightly anxious person. So if your interested getting fit and learning abit get down urban prospects mma. Best coach, best lads and by far best prices. All in all the best gym around.

Fantastic experience: Great Place to get in shape or to build into competition at the highest level in many martial arts jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing and Greco Roman wrestling. Brilliant gym to train everyone friendly and easy to get a long with and to train and your level.

Fantastic experience: Was recommended this gym and have not been disappointed. First experience of MMA and Kas and the team made me welcome from day one. Kas brings his passion and experience to every session, explaining/breaking down techniques to its simplest form, so for a beginner like myself I go away learning something each time. Fantastic experience: Best place to do mixed martial arts in the Midlands. The instructor has a wide range of knowledge, and leads high value lessons. Really friendly environment. I am a complete beginner and planned to just do 1 hour a week. But the sessions are so good that I am now doing 4.5 hours a week. I would do more if I could.

Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience at this gym and would highly recommend it. Cass is extremely professional, patient and supportive. The sessions are fun, but have also helped me to learn and develop my skills at the same time. All the people I have met through training were warm and friendly. An outstanding gym with a very friendly atmosphere - caters for all abilities from complete beginners to fighters.

Fantastic experience: Having been to several other training facilities in the area I can confirm urban has the best trainer and value for money. He has a great passion for the sport and immense knowledge, the team make you feel welcome and will offer you technical advice when you need it. 100% would recommend coming down and giving it a try if you are willing to put the time in.

Fantastic experience: Been training with Kass and the team from day 1, and I'd never train with any other team again. Guided me to my Midland title win and will be guiding me to many more in the near future. Friendly people who when joining will feel like a second family. Head Coach Kass without doubt one of the best minds in Martial Arts and yet is most humble.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a student under Kas for just over 3 years. Introducing mixed martial arts into my life has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Kas and the urban prospects family have made me feel welcome and helped me grow as a fighter but also as a mixed martial artist. At the gym everyone is friendly and all levels are welcome on the mat which is great for people who have never done anything like this before. Urban Prospects adapt to all levels whether you are looking to compete or just improve your fitness. I can’t recommend Urban Prospects enough.
