Osborne Hotel

Fantastic experience: We have just had our wedding here and also stayed for 4 nights. All the staff were lovely, went above and beyond to make it the most perfect day, the rooms were clean, house keeping team came everyday to our room and was fantastic and also very friendly. The food was also amazing. This really is top hotel, one of the best we have stayed in.

Fantastic experience: Only had tea on the terrace , but views from here are stunning, we were lucky it was such a beautiful day , Tea on the Terrace is an outside tea room for anyone , directly opposite the hotel entrance ,you dont have to be resident at the hotel, and you can use the hotel toilets .

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a 2 night stay here in a sea view family room. We were not disappointed at all, the room was immaculate, the view spectacular. The staff can not do enough for you and the service is excellent. The breakfast was quality produce with plenty of choice for a hot and cold breakfast and was delicious and the dining room staff were very efficient. We used the swimming pool and sauna which the children enjoyed. The only thing that we was not aware of before the trip was the £25 per person per night holding fee that is charged to your card on arrival, this was £200 for our family of 4, luckily we had enough to cover this and it didn't effect our spending budget for the weekend. I think that this should be mentioned on booking before arrival for visitors to budget for. Other than that i would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic experience: Worked here once upon a time in my very first kitchen position. It has lots of facilities and great food. One of Torquays oldest buildings I believe. Great views of Thatcher rock, Meadfoot Beach and across the ocean. It has an out door and indoor pool. Offers BBQ s al fresco during the summer months also. Lots of offroad parking and also offers a time share system should you wish to .

Fantastic experience: We have been here many times for informal lunch over a long period of time, but more recently at the outdoors terraced restaurant, just by the pool and tennis court. Simple menu as the food preparation is done in an adjacent tent, but appropriate choices and drinks to cater for all ages. Gets busy on hot days, but we've always managed to find a seat under a sun-shade without booking, and as non-residents. Friendly staff, good value, incredible views. Parking spaces - but must register number at the bar. Great place to relax.

Fantastic experience: We had a great break here, bed seemed to be shorter than a normal bed though but that's just a tall person problem so should be fine for most people. Views are great with nice walking opportunities.

Fantastic experience: i liked this hotel. Sea view room , cafe and beach 3 minutes away is magnificent . The hotel is very clean and renovated. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the breakfast. other than that it's really a nice place for a short vacation. I advise.

Fantastic experience: This place has got to be one of the best places in Torquay, we have been coming here most of my life and on this visit, it was the first time I had been back, I wasn't let down, it was everything I could remember and more, the location is breathtaking, the apartment team are welcoming, attentive and helpful, thank you for everything and I look forward to coming back in the future!

Fantastic experience: The Osbourne Hotel was a great choice for me, as I wanted a sea view and close to Meadfoot Beach and Wellwood. The Osbourne ticked both boxes. The reception staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. My room was on the3rd floor by the lift it was called Lewis, as I don't need a wheelchair I probably forgot to mention that I was disabled. The room was on two levels and for me the steps were difficult and I would prefer a walk I shower when I book next April. The only downfall that I found, was that there is only one disabled parking space.

Fantastic experience: We had booked in for an afternoon tea, which was excellent, the views from the hotel overlooking Meadfoot Beach was great, the gardens were good, has there own swimming pool, and of course the weather was outstanding. It would be nice to have a drink on the patio whilst watching the sunset.

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel with beautiful views from our room and from the bar terrace. The room (superior double) was very comfortable, with everything we needed, though there was room for a much bigger and better designed sink in the spacious en suite. The restaurant was very nice, we ended up eating there both nights of our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and all social distancing measured were observed without question. We were temperature checked before entering the bar or restaurant, and wore masks when moving around the hotel. Really well done, I would happily stay here again.

Fantastic experience: Nice rooms, great views from top floor. Decent tennis court, swimming pool and quick access to the beach. Plenty of parking and food is OK for reduced menu lockdown. The people working their are very friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for a few nights over the Easter break. We had a very nice, well equipped apartment on the top floor which slept the 5 of us comfortably. Excellent location, friendly staff, great facilities and an amazing view... We will be back.

Fantastic experience: We have never visited Torquay before and it was the best place so far . The hotel was amazing with beautiful views of the sea and outside area brilliant. Staff lovely and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer than two days but will definitely be returning. One small problem was I found the pillows very hard but that’s just a small thing in comparison to the whole experience.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday evening was the second time that I have eaten at the restaurant. Myself and 13 family members dined at The Osbourne yesterday evening for my Grandmothers 91st Birthday and could not fault the night. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond for us, especially the manager Oliver who from start to finish made sure we were happy at all times. The food was presented beautifully and tasted as fantastic as the wine! I Would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant and will definitely be returning. Big thanks to Oliver and his team.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Osborne over the weekend 24th-26th May for our daughters wedding. The room was large and had just been refurbished. Views were magnificent. Breakfasts were generous and delicious. The staff were wonderful especially during the wedding celebrations. There was another much larger wedding party in progress at the same time and at no point did any of our group feel that we were less important or that our service suffered. The meals and drinks service was faultless. It was a totally lovely experience for our entire group. Well done to the entire Osborne team.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic hotel, loved it very much friendly staff. Picturesque scenery absolutely beautiful view of the sea sitting outside on in front of the hotel at night it’s beautiful, you are surrounded with multicoloured flowers and lights absolutely romantic. The rooms a very good standard, the food is good. Parking is within the premises. Wanted to extend my stay however, the hotel was fully booked. Definitely recommended and we shall return.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful and historic place. Well maintained, staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are kept beautifully clean and tidy with great views of the grounds and beach part from the basement level. Theres is a restaurant and a gym in the hotel for wine and dining and for working out. For disabled people it is spacious to get around with sticks, zimmer frames and wheel chairs but there is a step though to get into some of the entrance of the hotel and there is a lift (elevator) which I didn't go on because I was staying on the ground floor. Disabled people I would recommend getting in contact with the hotel first to find out more.

Fantastic experience: The hotel was in a lovely setting near to a small, stoney beach. The facilities were great with both an indoor and outdoor pool. The rooms were clean and modern and the bed was enormous. The staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful and they really contributed to making our stay the relaxing time it was.
