Positive experience: Positives: good value for money. Despite being on a single floor it has a spaceous feel to it. Even during reasonably busy times you don't feel like people are on top of you. If you're looking for toning facilities - treadmills; elliptical style machines etc you're very well served. Negatives: not a single piece of specialist equipment for calves that I could find. Free weight section is adequate if unspectacular. Implore anyone from Better whose reading this to switch even a single of the perhaps 20 treadmills for a seated calf machine. Overall: Good if not great at this stage.

Positive experience: Nice pool, a bit deep for me, but would recommend! Has lots of facilities and is part of the better group, which is good if you live in Cumbria!

Fantastic experience: Had a great Sunday morning swim with my grandsons. They've had a few lessons when they lived elsewhere & enjoyed practicing their moves. Only trouble was, there were tears when we had to leave!

Fantastic experience: On arrival I approached the desk where a staff member was who took payment directed us to where we had to go pretty easy going free parking while using there facilities put your Registration number in and time your staying for also make sure you have a pound coin for the locker to lock your belongings away and enjoy

Fantastic experience: I am very proud of the fabulous new Leisure Centre in Workington. It has a regional sized swimming pool, learner pool, spectators area, steam room, squash courts, climbing wall, spinning, Lots of equipment for a great workout and a fabulous sports hall. There is an activity for everyone.

Fantastic experience: The classes offered are great. I would love to see an evening or weekend yoga class to accommodate us working people. I love using the wellness suite. The pool is always very clean.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit to the swimming pool was a success, although the big pool water was a little cold. Our 3 & 6 year old had a great time in the children's pool and did not want to leave. All very clean and I hope it stays that way. Free parking was the cherry on the top.

Fantastic experience: Superb facilities, the swimming pool and changing rooms are very clean and accessible. The staff are welcoming, friendly and approachable for advice. Reception area is warm and inviting with a fast track process to avoid any queues, also you can register your vehicle for up to 2 hours of free parking in the clofficks car park. I use my 'better' membership country wide and this is one of the best leisure centres that I've used!
