Thame Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: I moved to the area a year and a half a go and after looking at various establishments in the area, chose TLC. There are plenty of classes in the morning pre work and and then later after work suiting everybody. I never have a problem getting booked onto a class and if I do, I go onto the waiting list where someone from reception will always phone me once a gap comes through! Friendly instructors and staff, clean throughout, great value for money (especially having a gym with a brand new swimming pool), and enough equipment to suit everyone. If you want somewhere that is open from early hours to late at night, a place you will feel welcome and meet others, somewhere to try different activities & workouts then this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Adam Young's transfer over to Thame from the Wheatley site to oversee the running of the gym has made a huge difference to gymming at the TLC. He and the team are always around for training tips and advice. There's been a vast improvement in the classes and contacting you for spaces when you're on the waiting list and the general feel of the place has improved. For Value for money, in comparison to other gyms such as David Lloyd and Virgin Active I don't think you can beat it!

Fantastic experience: I go to 'swim for fitness', excellent pool, pretty easy to book through the better health (only quibble is it doesn't save my bank details or allow auto filling). Staff are very helpful and allow you to get on with your visit with minimal interruptions. Can get quite busy, especially when the swim club use 2/5 lanes, but these are easy enough to avoid.

Fantastic experience: The swimming school is superb! The teachers are so lovely and really friendly. They remember every child's name, how with the amount they teach I don't know! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Couldn't be happy with the centre, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool facilities are amazing, brilliant for training in. Sometimes find it busy, but that depends on when you go. Other times, I get a whole lane to myself, which is handy for learning to do new skills in the pool. The gym, always very tidy, easy to get on what you need for the session your doing. I would suggest that some of the areas could do with being updated, but thats mainly for looks not doing what I need. Overall, I would suggest the centre to anyone in the area, that is looking for a place that does it all. You have a pool, gym, access to great classes, and can book the sports hall for activities.

Fantastic experience: Clean centre, friendly staff and activities for all. It’s inclusive of all people and staff are always ready to help. The facilities are great for general usage with a 25m pool, toddler pool, gym and fitness classes.

Fantastic experience: First time using the centre this morning for a early morning swim. I was very impressed not just with the covid measures in place, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that I interacted with.

Fantastic experience: My niece has swimming lessons here & it's very professional & we'll set up compared to Stoke Mandeville. She gets to jump in here & actually swims. At Stoke they just splash around. The Instructors seem very attentive to each child & they get their full 30mins as a member of staff calls the children in so that they're in the pool for their start time which is how it should be. Good viewing area & covid measures in place
