Fantastic experience: The gym is well equipped and has a relaxed feel about it and unlike the cheaper chains is not overcrowded. Staff are friendly and nice place to train.

Fantastic experience: Great gym in Byker. I've tried a lot of gyms over the years and this one is by far the best gym in Newcastle. A great selection of equipment and probably one of the best group exercise timetables. Fab instructors too.

Fantastic experience: More than a gym. A fitness club with everything including pool, spas and steam room. With excellent state of the art gym facilities and loads of group exercise classes to choose from with the best class instructors ever. Staff and management are friendly and approachable especially if you’ve never been to a gym before and also with personal trainers who will help you every step of the way to reach your goals. Yes there are plenty of budget gyms out there that are cheaper but they’re called budget for a reason. I would highly recommend DW Fitness First to anyone wanting to kickstart their journey towards fitness.

Fantastic experience: Unreal gym, and newly refurbished. Has some good new bits of equipment like the skill mill and a great functional training area. Has a great atmosphere and welcoming, friendly staff. Membership prices have dropped since refurb. PT's always on hand in case you need a hand. Definitely recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: Cracking space after refurbishment. I've trained here for four years now and I've no intention of leaving, even with the massive gym selection in the city (many much cheaper too). Great new equipment across the board. I'd like another 45° leg press and at least one other squat rack, but there you go. The spin hall is completely new, bikes also. Other gear includes battle ropes, full sets of kettle bells, plyo boxes, a new designated boxing room with three ceiling fixed heavy bags, a so called Skill Mill, Watt Bike and SPARC trainer, Stairmasters, two Olympic lifting stations and plenty of fresh Technogym machines. If they tarted up the downstairs changing rooms and steam room a bit, it would be better again.
