Fantastic experience: Clean and pleasant environment with good equipment and decent toilets and showers. Can't really ask for more from a gym, especially for the price.

Positive experience: First gym I've ever been to. Price seems pretty good, maybe slightly above what I would have liked. Gym equipment is relatively modern and high quality. Nice range of equipment for different muscles, both upper and lower. The only complaint is that there isn't a lot of space for machines on the second floor. It feels a lil crowded, especially with the two machines in the back corner. Other than that, a pretty fab gym.

Positive experience: My first commercial gym experience. Needless to say I was expecting there to be flaws. The bars aren’t exactly the nicest and the machines aren’t the best. As per the photo, the display on the assistant dip machine implies dips only work your shoulders, but they certainly work your triceps and chest as well. However, the gym is extremely convenient, it is open 24/7, you can check how many people are in it and what the expected capacity is at particular hours. Even if it is busy, there is a large range of equipment and machines, so you’ll always be able to do something. The price cannot be flawed, it seems to be the cheapest gym in the area.

Positive experience: One of their smaller gyms, gets quite busy 6 am to 8 and also 4 pm thru to 8 pm. It's got OK equipment but I'd generally say it's more treadmill heaven than lifters paradise...

Fantastic experience: Have recently switched gyms from another monthly contract gym due to it being overcrowded and having old equipment. The team at Oxford Abingdon are really friendly, especially the new management team which I have noticed recently. There is a huge amount of floor space in the gym and plentiful amounts of equipment to use even in peak times. The staff are always cleaning down machines and renewing the cleaning stations, ensuring the gym is a safe place to train. Overall The Gym Group in Oxford Abingdon feels very welcoming, and membership is very affordable, with top of the range new equipment, great facilities all round and amazing staff. Would not hesitate to recommend The Gym Group to friends and family!!
