Fantastic experience: I’m a member of this gym, unfortunately only until November as I gonna travel again, but I really enjoy this gym, they have everything, gym, spa, pool, jacuzzi… I have been to other gyms in Edinburgh and this one is my favourite one.

Fantastic experience: Good gym at a decent price. Since re-opening has not been as busy as before lockdown, but during normal times gets very busy around usual peak times. Good selection of classes normally, though much reduced just now. Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a 25m pool. Gym floor with standard equipment nothing fancy but not lacking either. As of Dec 2021 gym is almost back to normal with more classes and class sizes back to normal. It's not busy at all with what's going on so convenient to pop in at any time.

Fantastic experience: We attended after having booked a SPA day with treatments included. somehow the booking was not adequately entered on the database. we are NHS professionals and were looking forward so much to this pampering day. Bannatynes' manager, Rachel did a magnificent job in turning a wrong into a right. She was honest, empathic and thorough. She explained she could not give us all that was included in the voucher due to therapists not having been booked due to booking not going through. Said she would fully investigate what had happened for this to occur she gave us full access to the SPA facilities for the day, 2 complimentary Massage treatments, a goody bag of cosmetics, robes, flipflops, towels etc. She instructed us to keep our vouchers, put our diaries together for January and come again. Now this is excellent management which turned a negative into a positive. Massage therapist was very good too.

Fantastic experience: I don’t understand the bad reviews about this place! I was over visiting Edinburgh (I’m a member of a different Bannatynes) and loved this gym so much that I came back three times. The younger PT guy was very friendly, smiley and helpful when I asked for advice - he’s a true credit to the place. The gym floor is very modern with pretty much everything you need! The process of going down to the pool was a little odd initially, but once I got used to it it was fine. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room/sauna were all great. What’s not to like and recommend!

Fantastic experience: Lovely afternoon spent here, man on reception made us feel very welcome and made sure we had all info required and knew where we were going. Changing area, pool, jacuzzi and sauna were all good and clean. Highlight was our 2 treatments, given by male therapists (unfortunately can't mind names). Were unsure of having male therapists but made to feel comfortable and very soon relaxed and enjoyed fantastic facial and massage.

I booked myself in for a few treatments at Bannantynes Queen Street. I had the sweedish back new and shoulder massage followed by an Elemis facial. This has to be one of the most relaxing, enjoyable treatments i have ever had. Taylor was my therapist for the day and what a lovely, friendly polite young girl. Very knowledgeable about the products. Taylor really knew what she was talking about, spoke through each of the products she was using and how it would benefit me. The pressure for the massage was perfect and super relaxing. Best massage and facial i have had in a while. The Relaxation room heated beds are just heaven!! I will defiantly be returning when i come back to Edinburgh

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely relaxed morning here as this was a birthday present from my daughter. The receptionist was very welcoming and explained everything very well and guided us where to go. Myself and my daughter were in the same room which was great and the girls who gave us the massages were very polite and friendly. They explained what would happen and asked questions before beginning the back and shoulder massage. We both felt so relaxed afterwards and the relaxation room was lovely with heated tiled benches. We did use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi but did feel that area needed maintenance as I cut my toe on a cracked tile, but it did not spoil the day as I really enjoyed the experience.

Fantastic experience: Only been a member here less than a month, but so far, very impressed. Over the years, I've been a member of various other leisure centres within Edinburgh, and think they are no where near as good overall as Bannatynes. The gym has recently been entirely refurbished with state of the art equipment. The spa area is lovely with a large, warm jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room. The cost of membership is far less than most Leisure centres in Edinburgh. I brought up an issue soon after joining and it was addressed immediately by the manager, Rachael, and I received a written response the next again day. Very professional. The personal trainers are awesome. Very helpful and friendly. I've received a training program at no cost. So big thanks to Tony, Connor and Abbey. Recommend to all.

Fantastic experience: Not sure what the bad reviews are about, could of just been a random bad experience, almost didn't go because of them but went today and it was really good, excellent gym with everything I needed and had a nice relax in the pool, sauna and steam room, defo recommend!!
