Following the Welsh government's announcement on the ease of restrictions in Wales from 7th August 2021, customers can expect the following at their local leisure centre:

You must not visit the centre if you are unwell or showing symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). You must adhere to the COVID-19 social distancing and hygiene government guidance at all times. 

If you feel unwell or develop COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, or you have received a positive COVID-19 test result, then you should immediately self-isolate and stay at home and follow government guidance. 

To ensure you don’t have to queue on arrival, we encourage you to book your activity in advance, either on the phone by contacting your local Leisure Centre (below), by calling the Customer Service Team on 01443 863072, online or via the Leisure Lifestyle app.

Swimming - Public swimming is available at Caerphilly, Heolddu, Cefn Fforest, Risca and Newbridge. We are operating a cashless service and cash payments will not be accepted. Where possible, please pay with a debit/credit card at the time of booking. 

No longer can we do what we have always done - our future role will be less about directly delivering services and more about enabling the many other organisations who already provide excellent opportunities across our communities.

Where necessary, as and when required, the strategy implementation will be supported by more detailed communications, consultation, and business cases for action to support reports to the relevant Scrutiny Committee, Cabinet and/or Full Council.

The definition of Sport and Active Recreation in relation to this strategy is based on the range of sport and physical activity opportunities provided by Caerphilly County Borough Council in conjunction with our key partners

Finally, the strategy is not focused just on buildings but the activity that can take place in a wide variety of different places found throughout our County Borough and as a result of many different opportunities provided by a range of organisations.
