Centre is kept spotless most of the time, with a few exceptions which is understandable considering the facilities are used all day every day by CLC pupils/members of the public. Timetables are very clear and easy to understand, with a very fair amount of usage given to members despite the centre being part of the school. Timetables do change termly but there is always plenty of notice given to all members. The price of membership is overly reasonable compared to other gym/leisure facilities in the area, I pay £46.00 per month for my single membership but there are concessionary rates (student, OAP etc). The membership gives me access to all facilities in the centre including the gorgeous 25m pool, gym areas, classes, sports halls and courts. Understandably there is limited usage for these facilities during the week as of course the CLC pupils are using them for lessons - however this is is to be expected when signing up for a membership for a facility that is part of a school. If you want somewhere that you can visit at all times of the day common sense would suggest signing up at a 24 hour gym rather than a facility that is part of a school. Staff always professional and happy to help - lifeguards are very friendly and step in where needed. Overall a lovely facility, and I absolutely love visiting. I have never had a bad experience so unsure what other negative reviews are referring to...some very negative people in society these days...but you can't please everyone!

Positive experience: Really nicely equipped gym, with multiple weights rooms (though now trimmed down in Covid-19 mode), a low chlorinated pool, and lots of classes in yoga and Pilates, for example. Since the reopening, I've been back a handful of times, and it's all a bit less streamlined, with the upstairs exercise rooms shut, and the benches for lifting free weights generally kept down, off the low plinths with the racks, which I don't quite understand, and just requires moving them each time I go to do any weight training. Staff also seem to be much less visible these days, in case you have questions or need any help. Brendan and the rest of the team are great, really friendly and enthusiastic, they just don't seem to be around much these days! The space is very clean and well managed, though, and equipment is also in nice shape. We've always liked the swimming pool a lot, but haven't tried it out again since March.

Fantastic experience: Swimming pool lovely with modern UV filtering system so no smelly chlorine. Can get a busy though, especially in the evenings. Changing rooms always clean and tidy. Well worth the membership fee.

Fantastic experience: A fabulous sports centre, with a 25 metre ozone pool, which has recently had a second sports hall and squash courts built, along with a new well equiped gym. Membership rates are competitive when compared with other Cheltenham options and include free classes. Lots of free parking and outdoor options for tennis, hockey etc.

Fantastic experience: So clean you could eat your dinner off the floor. Staff so friendly and engaging.. Gym kept to high standard. Swimming pool fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and lots of equipment. The layout is a bit confusing, it wasn't clear what was available and where (eg, cardio in room x, weights in room y). I got a pass while I stayed at the Queen's Hotel.

Fantastic experience: First class facilities and great staff. The gym is well equipped and puts a lot of the more commercial operations to shame. Constant investment and modernization keeps this place in tip top condition. As at July 2018 the large pool, which was already excellent, is currently undergoing major a refit. The opening times for the public are fitted in around the school timetable. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
