Boasting an IAAF-standard athletics track, five outdoor pitches, a gym, sports hall and steam rooms, this is the place dreams are made and records are broken.
Gateshead International Stadium is the third largest sporting venue in Tyne and Wear and the North East's only IAAF-standard athletics stadium. We're home to Gateshead FC, Gateshead Harriers Athletics Club and Gateshead Storm Rugby Club. We've hosted Olympians and pop royalty, and seen five world records broken in track and field. But, you want to know a secret? Our favourite star is you.
Through GO Gateshead, the world-class facilities of the International Stadium are yours to use at your leisure - all you need is comfortable footwear! Run on the IAAF-standard tartan track as part of your membership or with a track only pass, practice throws and jumps on the field, or join your friends for a game on one of five pitches.
If you'd rather stay indoors, we've a state-of-the-art gym, as well as a multi-sports hall to enjoy a game with friends, or you can chill out and unwind in the steam rooms.
With weekly clubs for children and adults, all overseen by our team of friendly, qualified staff, and well as free parking and Wi-Fi throughout, Gateshead International Stadium is North East's most inspirational place to get active. Even if we do say so ourselves.
