Fantastic experience: Love this place, like walking into the 1960's. You won't find any Plasma screens or Jacuzzis here, just big free weights and trusty machines. If you're serious about your training this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: Straight forward and no nonsense. There's a cardio room, so good for warm ups… and then lots and lots of weights - be it free weights or machines. Okay, so you won't find a jacuzzi or flash brand new equipment but you will have plenty of kit and choice.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I spent many years going and it has everything you want from a gym. The equipment - some of it as old as I am - is in perfect working order. The staff are intelligent, knowledgeable and helpful. The location is perfect. The members range from international level to beginners. There's a real spirit here!

Fantastic experience: It's a building with heavy things in it to lift. Friendly staff. If you want a kale smoothie and a good place to take a selfie for insta then this probably isn't what you are looking for. If you want somewhere to lift crazy heavy dumbells until you feel like you are going to bleed out of your eyes then this is definitely the place for you. I've had 2 years out of serious lifting due to severe injury and I went there last night and got right back into training and there was zero judgment or attitude from the other folk (I'm a big fatty at the mo so was a bit self conscious ) . Really good selection of cardio equipment too. 10/10

Fantastic experience: For a long time I avoided going to this gym because I had heard that it was full of macho weight-heads and the kind of people who you might not want to mix with. I really wish I hadn't listened and joined many years ago as the truth is that this is actually one of the friendliest gyms I have ever been a member of. Its true that there are no frills here, there are no TVs, no A/C and no sauna/swimming pool etc but what it does have is LOADS of equipment, all kinds of machines and weights, many different rooms including stretching, weights, dead-lifting, boxing, ladies-only etc etc. You don't get many posers here, people come to work out and work out hard. So if you are looking for a serious gym with a lot of equipment at a reasonable price then give Cheetah's a go, you may be pleasantly surprised like I was.
