Fantastic experience: I actually went to Fitlab - Cheetahs. Great place for serious bodybuilders. Multiple floor layout with amazing friendly staff and loads of different classes for everyone. You must check it out!

Fantastic experience: My daughter started swimming lessons and the teachers are great! We have been going for the last 3 years and she loved every stage growing with confidence in the water.

Fantastic experience: Excellent cafe, great vibes. The gym team is excellent, especially Nathaniel. The cafe makes a nice change that so many gyms are missing, a place to relax after and grab a bite to eat!

Fantastic experience: I love it here, it's by far my favourite pool in Brighton, all the staff members are courteous and friendly, and all the public spaces and utilities are always working and clean.

Positive experience: The aqua aerobics class was excellent. The pool and changing areas were clean. Downsides however...many of the cabinets in the changing area lacked keys or were broken. Walls show impact damage and the centre needs refurbishment. I did think about membership but no details were available...just a referral to look online...which didn't help (you have to call them...!).

Fantastic experience: Had a great time in the adventure golf, definitely the best one in Brighton. There's a arcade safari jeep track and trampolines. We all had a really good day. Definitely recommend this place the kids loved it especially the dinosaur adventure golf. I loved the burger and coffees and easy parking next to the King Alfred.

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool is great as they have a kids section with a structure which acts as a waterfall. The pool is quite big and there is also a slide which is simple but still very popular. They also have membership cards for children under 18 so they can swim free. You have to take shoes off before going into the changing rooms but they could get stolen as many people leave them at the entrance (so take with you and put in locker). Overall very good staff and site :)

Fantastic experience: Swimming for little ones in the squeaky frog club is great - is drop in but booking is advised. Runs every day but times vary day to day, and double check during holidays. Following that swimming classes are fantastic when they get confident, great teachers (ours is Matt). Soft play is on Tues and Fri, we only go on Fridays, but speaking from this experience quietest time is towards the end of the session. Lots to do, doesn't give you a headache if it is really busy, and my little fella loves it. Long live the King Alfred!

Fantastic experience: Myself and my family visit the King Alfred Leisure Centre on a regular basis. It is a great pool with excellent facilities and very friendly staff. The changing room and shower area have all been renewed and the whole Leisure centre has a nice relaxed feel to it. There are also two sports halls, a gym, a selection of exercise studios and an indoor bowls area. I recommend the King Alfred Leisure Centre as a great place to take your family.

Fantastic experience: We were actually doing a 6K Memory Walk in aid of the Altzimer's Society from the green behind the leisure centre so I can't actually review the centre's facilities themselves.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool: warm, clean & welcoming. Amazing value. It would cost a fortune to run as a fully commercial operation. People should remember the overall value for money & service they are receiving if they feel like moaning about anything. Lisa on the front desk is particularity friendly always greeting me with a smile. She has gone out of her way to help me - beyond the call of duty - and is a credit to the King Alfred.

Fantastic experience: Its genuinely disappointing reading some of the other reviews here, quite frankly can't understand the 90% of complaints. No its not the most modern facility, yes its got tired carpets, but as far as i'm concerned the pool is clean, its a good size, the staff are polite, it's well maintained and its very well priced for the area. If you want a super modern pool go to Worthing splashpoint and pay twice the price.....

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the King Alfred gym, the staff are so kind and friendly and the gym is well equipped. I love the spin classes and HIIT. I've been going very regularly since Feb and its made a huge positive difference in my life and can't imagine not going now. I never thought I'd be a gym person again but I totally recommend it! I love that the King Alfred is a small gym so I don't feel intimidated. This is a gym with real people. Great job guys!
