Fantastic experience: Great value,pretty much any equipment you could possibly need and just a good vibe,love the place. To add to the above earlier post,the standard is still very high and l really enjoy getting a sweat on here 5 star no problem!!

Fantastic experience: The equipment is all top notch and the staff are fantastic. There’s also a sauna which is more than most of the other cheaper gyms in the area. Could do with some more toilet facilities for the male members would be my only criticism

Fantastic experience: We researched in person most of the gyms in the area for facilities, staff, welcome (esp for Asian women), in-house support (as opposed to the general business model everywhere of having to pay for personal trainers on top of monthly gym fees) and value: Simply Gym, Southend excelled over and above. Great welcome from staff, initial programme support (sets of 6 week programmes for beginners and returners to progress) all gym equipment, classes and sauna included in a great rate (separate saunas for men and women) and even a women-only training area if required. Staff (Kyle and Jordan) were by far the most welcoming, supportive and informative. Personal trainers (fitness & nutritiion) on hand if wanted. Seems also to be run as a 'community' gym, with events and in-house competitions, open notice board etc. Good parking facilities... and no, we have never been ticketed! Recommend.

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem. 24 hours, dumbbells up to 50kg, official hammer strength training centre and a great range of equipment. It’s also nice and quiet which makes it even better.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I have decided to start using this gym as we were really impressed with the virtual tour and attended the site on Sunday. Its a very clean looking and friendly place, the staff could not be more accommodating.

Fantastic experience: Has everything I need to get myself fit and entertain for everyday, plus 24h/7 flexible for me as I have 4 kids. Can go any time after the kids in bed. Especially safe for Covid-19. Love it!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality Good gym. Very spacious. Good equipment, very good value for money. Staff have put my membership on hold until reopens, gym is dearly missed and look forward to returning after the pandemic.

Fantastic experience: In case you were unaware, simply gym is a not for profit business that reinvests all profit into its team and venues. As such, it is a good basic gym with adequate facilities, friendly team and nice atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: ATTENTION!!!!! Avoid contracts. as if you get one you gonna pay all 12 month. Missed payment 25 pound charge. Difficult to leave as you have to prove them something if you want to go away. Ripping people off. I completely didn't like it there after month time as no lockers during night time and i was forced to pay all 12 month period just for one month visit.

Fantastic experience: Thought I'd review this gym as some of the previous reviews are a bit misleading. Yes, its a budget gym but it has recently had a total overall. EVERY piece of equipment has been renewed, theres lots more lifting apparatus, new weights, benches, lighting. All Hammer Strength and life fitness ( I think!)equipment. New crosstrainers, treadmills, the lot. And of course 24hr access. Been a member to gyms in this town for best part of 20 years and this is probably the best value you will get. Well done Simply!

Fantastic experience: Has almost everything you need. There is no trap bar, and the there is only one EZ bar. And some people have no discipline to put their weights back but night time it's like the gym is mine. But overall I dont think another gym in Southend can offer the things this one offers.
