Fantastic experience: Great gym - affordable membership, loads of gym equipment with loads of classes in centre of Southend so easy to get too. Big changing areas with showers and a female only section, which is really welcoming and a large area.

Fantastic experience: Decent, nice gym. Relaxed atmosphere and loads of machines to choose from. I came back to this gym after moving home and changing jobs because I can enjoy a varied workout listening to my music in peace. No one disturbs you or stands waiting for you to finish.

Fantastic experience: The best place to workout in Southend, Great equipment, regularly cleaned, there is a wipe down after use rule at the gym but the staff also keep equipment clean, generally a good vibe here to, good mix of young and middle aged gym users, the music is a good mix of high energy music, showers are nice and toasty and the changing rooms are clean. I would say there is everything here you need to achieve your fitness goals. There appears to be private classes taking place throughout the day and I believe dedicated women only sessions too. Not as cheap as the other gyms but certainly worth the extra few quid.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area (and I’ve tried several) Staff are all friendly, welcoming and knowledgable, and the clients are nice too. Gym is ideal for either beginners or hardcore trainers: lots of space; and loads of machines and weights.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been to a gym before but after deciding to join I couldn’t ask for better, I had a really good intro session with Neil who showed me how everything works he was really patient with me and encouraging, I left the gym on a real natural high, I couldn’t recommend this gym more, plenty of great staff that show a true interest and want to help you, if your considering joining this gym do it now you won’t regret it

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy using Welcome Gym. The staff are friendly, the classes give me motivation and the ladies gym is a hidden gem! The thought of stepping into a gym made me nervous, but the lady on reception made me feel at ease and after a tour, I joined straight away. I now couldn't go without!

Fantastic experience: I felt nervous the first time I walked in but a few weeks down the line I'm very happy .. The gym itself is spacious and well equipped including a small women's only section. I've tried a few classes including women's only fitness led by Denise who is great. I've been led in training by Niko who I can highly recommend ~ friendly, really encouraging, pushing me to keep going and so much knowledge; he really put me at ease ☺️ All the staff I've met are great. The only downside, if I have to pick one, there is no provision for refilling your water bottle ~ although there is a machine selling drinks. Overall I highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Love this gym- everyone is super friendly and so welcoming. It is fantastic value for money and offers free parking for members. The class timetable is varied and rivals that of much more expensive gyms- dancercise, step and zumba are particularly great classes! There is also a fully equipped spin studio and huge changing rooms with showers. The actual gym floor is enormous with plenty of equipment and there is also a ladies only gym which is small but well equipped. It is a cheap gym so there are no frills, for example there are no water coolers or scales however for £20 a month these are things I can live without. The staff on the front desk and trainers are absolutely outstanding and couldn't make you feel more welcome whilst also putting you through your paces... Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: It was a little while back, but I had a very good year here, at one point I was doing 5 classes a week, 2 x boxercise, Johny excelent instructor, plus 1 x yoga, pilates and karate, it worked out about 69p per class , I definately became fitter faster stronger as a result, big gym floor too.

Fantastic experience: i have been using this gym for a couple of months and i think it is the best gym i have ever used. plenty of equiptment so never havr to wait to use anything. nice helpful staff and great membership prices and the womens only gym is fantastic. if you go to the women sonly gym early its compleatley empty as well. only 2 things i think could be changed or improved. the womens gym is great but a bit small there are only two tredmills and two cross trainers. a few more would be helpful as if they are all being used you may have to wait 40 minuits until others have finished but its not a serious problem as the gym is full of them it's just if you would rather stay in the womens only part that there is a problem. the other thing is most gyms are £5 to just use the gym for the day a one off if you are not a member. but fitness for less is £8 i know this is to encourage taking out membership but for anyone who dose not live in the area and comes down to use the gym a couple of days a week or when in southend it is a little costly for a day pass. i cant take out membership at the moment but i love the gym i do find it hard to fork out £8 a time for a day pass. but other than these two minor issues i love this gym and will always use it the only gym with a womens only area and i feel so comfortable there specially when using weights as i tend to get stared at and judged by the blokes. love fitness for less :) my number 1 gym
