Europa Pools Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: Haven't been here for many years took my daughter swimming a couple of times over the school holidays and was pleasantly surprised. My local leisure center was closed down because our amazing council decided they needed to make financial cuts. Well run, clean and friendly staff at a good price. The pool is a good size and it wasn't busy. Only negatives I have are there aren't many public/family swim sessions and now the new term has started there are even less. 3:45 - 4:45 three days a week and three hours on a saturday isn't great when most kids don't finish school until 3:20 and I'm sure I'm not the only parent that works saturdays. Also why did they need to close the other pool and make another gym? There are plenty of options when it comes to a gym on the wirral. I can recommend a great one in Upton called Gravity. On the whole though very happy with my experience, would definately recommend this leisure center.

Fantastic experience: I used to attend the disability swim many years ago at this leisure centre. It was perfect for somebody with severe visual impairment and I used to have my niece and nephew with me. The session was between 12 pm and one. Alas now it’s at about 3:45 pm. The staff were absolutely lovely. I recently trained with my new Guide DogMason and the staff looked after him wonderfully while I was in the pool. The staff are so lovely and respectful and very helpful.. I travel from Sefton Merseyside because alas,they’re not as progressive as the wirrel,they don’t have separate disability swimming sessions.

Fantastic experience: Whilst appreciating that the loss of the fun pool has made a difference to many, my gym membership is much improved by the new gym. Lots of new faces and new equipment. I was going to join the new gym opening in Birkenhead but I am more than happy to stick with Europa now. Staff look pleased to see everyone after what was a tough time in the last two years.

Fantastic experience: Nice family swim no more lanes as the relaxing of covid so plenty of room just as a precaution for parents with children that are weak or none swimmers after the lifegaurd chairs it is 2meter deep so courtion nice friendly staff who are on the ball . Plus they have just moved the gym to the lesiure pool as the pool wasent getting used by the public but what a transformation it's so quirky relaxing if this is what its took to save europa pools then good on them 22.50 a month gym and swim plus classes it's a steal .thumbs up from me

Positive experience: Booked online and the actual pool suitable for kids with the waves etc was shut for refurbishment until next summer. Instead we had a lane swim which wasn't ideal as I had a baby and would have liked to be able to sit down in the water with him.

Fantastic experience: We had a really good time at the pool. It's really a good spot for a family trip. It's not to pricey £17 for 2 adults and 2 children. There are set times to get into the pool so I would recommend that you check before you leave. My two little boys can't wait to go back.

Fantastic experience: Kids love this place slides not always on though there are only 2 slides that have constant water running down them so there is no big deep water to land in which makes it good for younger kids or kids who don't swim too well the wave pool seems to come on every half an hour for a couple of minutes which is great for the kids

Life guards are super friendly and always willing to help and also got there eyes on the ball when it comes to the teens being a bit reckless whilst mum's dad's and the kids are trying to have a nice chilled time =) well done staff!

Fantastic experience: It's amazing they have 2 slides and they also have 2 hot tubs a wave machine bubbles and squirting water and also an adult swimming lane pool and a cafe the prices are not to dear but sometimes the wait is up to 30 minutes if you get there at the wrong time it's probably best to ring before you arrive to check and they cafe outlooks onto the pool so you can keep an eye on your children but children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult The only downside is that you have to pay for parking which is quite dear But the pool is also surrounded by the Vue cinema and the shopping centre

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy using the gym here and the "Fun Pool" is great fun for all ages!! I use the steam room quite often and is a great addition to an already outstanding leisure facility.

Fantastic experience: Went 1st June 2016 with 2 young children and their mother. Had 2 wait nearly an hour 2 get in. That was the only down side - probably due 2 it being half term and me not getting details of the public swim times. Other than the wait I can't fault the place. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced and were given a full 1 and a half hours in the pool even though people were waiting 2 come in. Also, although it was obviously busy, the pool itself wasn't too overcrowded. The kids loved the pool with the water slides and wave machine - couldn't get them out. The food in the cafe, while being fairly basic, was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Customers should b aware that they will b charged 4 parking. Again, not extortionate, I payed £2.10 for 3 hours. In conclusion I can only recommend Europa Pools. Other than the initial wait 2 get in, the experience was extremely positive and enjoyable. Very family/child friendly and it won't leave u penniless. If u in the area, give it a try.
