Fantastic experience: We have just visited this swimming pool at Dumfries. It was undoubtedly the best pool we have been in....and we have been in a LOT over the years as we tour all over England in our motorhome. Friendly staff. Fantastic experience: Visited this swimming pool 7th of September 2022. Took our 9 month old grandson he was besotted with the splashing water barrel and the pirate ship. This is definitely the best swimming pool we have ever been to. Can't wait to book again the next time we visit Dumfries.

Fantastic experience: Small shallow pool. Great for babies and young learners. Pirate ship 3 slides you have to book as they only allow about 30 people each hour

Fantastic experience: Good gym, well equipped, clean, tidy and air conditioned. Plenty of facilities and helpful staff. Only downside is limited opening hours, especially at weekends. Currently have to book in using the app, gym has hourly slots but difficult to book the health suite due to limited space/numbers

Fantastic experience: Brilliant swimming pool, extremely clean and lots of changing rooms and locker space, there is a great pirate ship in the leisure pool featuring water canons and slides, plus a huge bucket that fills up and empties out on you if your brave enough to stand underneath it . Fantastic value for money and well worth a visit, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been using the facility for a while now and really enjoy going. The facility is very clean and I've never had a need to complain. The gym can be busy in the evenings which is understandable. The staff are all really friendly and always willing to answer any questions you might have. The sauna and steam room are one if my favourite places very clean and nice and relaxing. The pool is well a pool. Not Much to say really. I use it with my son. The pool staff are friendly, approachable and great with kids. My son loves the place. The cleaners are about most of the day and the staff at reception have ALWAYS sorted out any problems I have had. The membership price is really good value for money considering what you get access too. I would recommend DG1 and will continue to use the facility.

Positive experience: Spent an hour this afternoon in the leisure pool with my wife and two kids,had great fun and was well worth the £12. However OMG how hard is it to book online and don't try and phone as nobody likes answering the phone!!! If you are not a member it is impossible to book as it asks for your membership number and at the same time it tells you that booking online is for everyone. So I had to go into DG1 and speak to the receptionist and they realize and all the other staff members realize that the website doesn't work,but no one can be bothered doing anything about it. So I had to give my full details and the same for my wife and two kids for which we were all given a preference Numbers which we can use at anytime. As I wanted to book today for 12.45 I had to book yesterday at 12.45 so we could get places and by easily putting in our preference Numbers and paying. I got a email of confirmation which I showed to reception when we went in today. Why does everything have to be so hard!!!

Fantastic experience: Lovely pool with kids slides and water cannons. Had to book an hours slot due to school holiday but enjoyed our time there. Unisex changing and family/group cubicles. Showers are poolside next to lockers so all very handy getting out the pool.

Not as big a gym as I expected but has a good range of apparatus for various exercises. I have not been in the pool yet, but looks good, it has a children's section it will also have a cafe. There are different types of classes, very good fee, definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: I attended the swimming pool last week with my niece and nephew. We had to come back in an hour as the session we tried to get in to was full however I didnt mind this at all as it was good to see the place was full and being used by lots of people. The kids really enjoyed the pirate ship area of the swimming pool and I thought it was really well planned out for everyone to enjoy. The staff were great and really helpful. My niece also attended 2 disability sports clubs (multi sports and table tennis) and she really enjoyed these also and was excited to be back at DG1. We will definitely be back soon. Well done to all the staff for their hard work and for getting DG1 back up and running.

Fantastic experience: I don't necessarily agree with what as gone kn with DG1 . Yea they have coat the local tax payer millions. But the governments cost us billions and more. But as a nation we support them. Weather we want to or not. So why not just deal with the fact that its happend. Move on. And hope it doesn't do it again. Enjoy the place get what you can out of it it's great for dumfries.

Fantastic experience: Got a membership, the facilties are great, good gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, leisure area and has lots of classes on offer, get a lot for your money glad it's been reopened again after all these years One thing though is it would be good to have control over shower temperature like the ones near sauna and steam room are boiling hot, usually after using a sauna it's nice to have a cold shower rather than a boiling one but it is just day 3 since reopening so given time it'll probably get sorted Highly recommend to anyone thinking about going to take a look
