Fantastic experience: Matt is the best personal trainer I've every used. You work hard but see the benefits quickly. I would have no hesitation in recommending him. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: Matt is a fantastic personal trainer. I lead a crazy lifestyle that makes it difficult to stay on track. Matt has worked hard to understand me, my challenges, my goals and my motivations to find ways to lead me towards a healthier lifestyle. As someone who hates exercise, Matt makes it fun for me and I have grown to look forward to my training sessions. I can't recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: Matt is a great personal trainer, great at motivating you to achieve more than you think you can, but in a friendly way. As a physiotherapist myself I was impressed by Matt's level of knowledge and skill. Would definitely recommend him to anyone of any ability, if you are just starting out and need to get fit/lose weight or already training but want to improve further, Matt is the PT for you.

Fantastic experience: I have learned so much about myself and my training by attending regular Pilates sessions with Matt. He is motivational and encouraging but pays real attention to your personal goals, buying into them with you and supporting you each step of the way. He maintains an optimistic belief in what anybody can achieve with a bit of commitment and strikes a great balance between pushing when you would prefer to stop and developing your confidence so you are willing to give it another try. Pilates with Matt is now firmly fixed in my weekly training regime and I would encourage anyone who wants to invest in their health and fitness to give it a go.

Fantastic experience: Having given up on disciplining myself to go to gyms, I decided to go down the personal trainer route. Matt was recommended to me by a friend, and from the first visit, I knew I'd made the right decision. From the outset, Matt makes sure he understands your needs and works with you to set goals so you always see results. He is patient, but knows when to push you harder. He changes the exercises to keep you motivated and interested, and has a great sense of humour so that makes every workout fun. I've been training with Matt for 8 months now and what I've achieved is not just improved fitness, strength, and body tone, but I have more energy, lead a healthier lifestyle, I'm more upbeat. I truly cannot recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: As a longterm client of Matt's, I can thoroughly recommend his Personal Training services. My fitness level and body tone have improved tremendously, thanks to his Personal Training plan (which was tailored specifically for me) and his Pilates expertise. His teaching style is motivational - without being bullying - and he has a knack for making you achieve such a lot more than you think is possible. My personal training sessions started out as an indulgence to counteract a deskbound job and are now a very enjoyable necessity !

Fantastic experience: Matt is an awesome trainer. When I was looking for a trainer I wanted someone who not only talked the talk but walked the walk too. Out of the many I met I was most impressed by Matt's dedication, commitment and knowledge about fitness and health. Having had two children and various health issues over the past few years I was not happy with my body and level of fitness. In the 5 months that we have been training Matt has easily improved my fitness and body tone , but more importantly to me, this has helped to lift my energy, confidence and life. Something that I really like about our workouts is the fact that we work hard but it never feels like an ordeal. Matt's nurturing and encouraging manner makes you want to give everything that you have and little bit more! He's never bullying or loud but I always leave the studio sweating and feeling truly satisfied with what I have achieved. I can't recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: Matt was recommended to me by my boyfriend and I started seeing him to specifically help strengthen my core and counteract problems caused by damage to my IT band. Within just a couple of sessions I could already feel a significant improvement and my long term lower back and knee pain have now almost been completely eradicated thanks to Matt's strengthening programme. Matt is friendly, explains everything clearly, moves you on at a comfortable pace and is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Matt's for a couple of months and despite being a member of a gym who have their own personal trainers I chose to go with Matt, an independent PT. He didn't try to push me to purchase a course of sessions in advance or dictate how many sessions I did a week - he was flexible and his view is it needs to fit in with your life and schedule. I also liked that he has a private studio so you are not training and learning new exercises etc in a busy gym. I've been going to the gym for years and enjoy running but have shyed away from the weight section being put off by the grunting meatheads however I knew I needed to focus on more weight and strength training if I want to improve my physique. It can be intimidating going to a PT and I was self conscious of my inabilities, wobbly bits etc but Matt is very personable, non judgmental and encouraging. I have seen many PT's at work in the gym who don't correct their clients form and don't focus on them doing the exercise correctly but Matt puts a lot of emphasis on this and he takes time to explain exercises why you're doing them what bit of the body its working etc. When I turned up to my first session I couldn't squat at all something I was embarrassed about but I am now squatting low!! As a runner himself Matt has also helped with a plan and takes an interest in how I'm getting on with my runs. He focuses on exercises that will improve my running but also ensures he asks what runs i intend to do for the week so if I want to do a long run a day after a training session for example he wont go heavy on the legs. He has also given me an exercise plan I can do in the gym which compliments our PT sessions. I would certainly recommend Matt.

Fantastic experience: My brother and I started training with Matt to improve my brother's fitness and help him progress further in Reading FC's advanced squad. When I started, I had no idea about weight training or any sort of strength conditioning, being a dancer I never really thought it would suit me and I definitely didn't think I would be any good at it. But here I am a year and a half later swinging 16kg kettlebells and doing pistol-squats! The improvement I've seen in myself and my brother has been incredible. Matt's continued encouragement and vast knowledge has helped us both achieve goals we'd have never imagined even setting when we first started. His gym has all the equipment needed to focus on both cardio and conditioning and he always strives to make the sessions fun and interesting with new and challenging exercises. In addition to his expertise, Matt's friendly and caring character puts you at ease straight away and I look forward to every session where I know I'll always get a good workout and a good chat in too. Matt's not only a great personal trainer but a great friend too. I come out of every session with aching cheeks, as well as aching muscles, from laughing so much, would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Matt for over a year and have seen significant improvements in my health, body shape and overall fitness levels during this time. Just one example; I've gone from not knowing how to deadlift, to lifting 100Kgs in just a few months... When I started with Matt I was taking one or two sessions a week and had to keep things slow as I was recovering from a heart attack. Matt didn't push me beyond what my body was capable of at the time, but encouraged me to build confidence in my techniques and abilities, which allowed me to train harder and harder. In the last few months he has helped guide me through setting up my own small personal gym at home, recommending the right equipment to compliment the exercises we do together; when he could have just asked me to buy more sessions with him. He's also developed training and diet plans which I can continue on my own. He is constantly motivational, sending me messages when I can't make a session to inspire me to train at home or when I'm travelling; he pushes me when he knows I need to be pushed and as a result I'm now adding more and more exercises to my routine and lifting weights well beyond what I would have imagined I could less than a year ago.

Fantastic experience: I started training with Matt around 7months ago, I remember coming to the free consultation and at the time my self confidence wasn't great at all and I was overweight. Matt quickly put me at ease and made me feel extremely comfortable and this has only continued throughout the time that I have been training with him. I love the fact that Matt has his own gym, the equipment is great & it's nice to not be surrounded by loads of other people in a gym. Matt is extremely knowledgable & I love how he has shown me how versatile fitness and exercise can be. Matt always pushes me to go that little bit further and lift that little bit heavier without being aggressive and overbearing. Training with Matt is never boring, sessions are always enjoyable and I have learnt so much. Matt's encouragement has massively helped to grow my self confidence and since training with Matt I have been able to achieve things I never thought would be possible! When I first started training I couldn't run for 1 minute without being extremely out of breathe and uncomfortable, through training with Matt I have completed my first 5k and I am now training for my first 10k. I also really like how Matt trains with me, he doesn't just tell me what to do and then I have to get on with it. He demonstrates each exercise and trains alongside me, which I have found extremely helpful. My plan is completely tailored for me, which Matt is amazing at doing for his clients, going beyond and above to write and create the training plan in a way that makes sense to me when I read it so I can visualise exactly what I'm doing when I'm on my own in the gym. I have lost a considerable amount of weight and my body is becoming more and more toned since training with Matt, the combination of the of cardio and weights training plan and nutritional advice that Matt has given me have definitely been a huge factor in this. Thank you Matt!

Fantastic experience: Matthew is a great PT. The harder you work, the more results you see. Even on your bad days, he makes every session enjoyable and you always feel you are improving. I always leave my sessions in the best mood. Everyone has different goals but Matt listens, adapts and gets you the results you want. Highly highly recommended. He got me through my marathon so thank you!

Fantastic experience: Matt has been my personal trainer for nearly 2 years now, i needed to lose weight and get fit , he has given me the help, guidance, confidence and motivation to achieve this. He is an exceptionally nice bloke who has helped me achieve so much especially with the run up to our wedding . although i have reached some goals I never thought I would,i continue to go training with Matt as it is a way of life and really enjoyable and great results. I would recommend Matt to anyone who is either new to training or is wishing to find a new personal trainer . Thank you

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Matt for the past eighteen months. During this period, my body shape has changed considerably and I have reduced by 3 dress sizes from a size 16 to a size 10. I am fitter, healthier and more aware of my body than I have every been and this is all due to matt's continuous support, knowledge of exercise, diet and nutrition and encouragement. He is a fabulous trainer who really puts himself out to make the sessions interesting, rewarding, entertaining and enjoyable! He has a very well equipped personal gym which allows him to conjure up a huge variety of workouts to ensure that our sessions are never repetitive, predictable or boring. I would recommend Matt to anyone who is interested in achieving their goals and who is prepared to put in the extra effort themselves to make it happen.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Matt for over 3 years and as a result I have achieved the weight-loss and physical fitness I have been striving for, for a very long time. Matt is very passionate about what he does and motivates through example as well as his ability to inspire self confidence and self belief. My workouts are always tailored to my specific needs and Matt will always goes out of his way to ensure that they are varied, fun and interesting. I thoroughly recommend Matt as a personal trainer, he is extremely easy to get along with and despite the intensive workouts each session seems to fly by. I remember calling him up tentatively and booking a free consultation session, I can confidently say this was the best investment I have made for my health and well-being.
