Fantastic experience: A great warm feeling, brilliant staff, very friendly , very helpfull always with smiles. Brand Hotel's are family owned, one would think that the staff are family members through their experience handling their customers with ease. Service is excellent, meals are nicely cooked. Fantastic experience: A picture of a carvery will never do it justice so haven't added one. It's rare to find a carvery that is equal to a fresh to order meal. This does so and surpasses. Excellent selection of components all delicious and the service is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: And yet another excellent Brends Hotel and restaurant. My wife and I attended a large family party, a gathering of 70 plus attendees. A disco was laid on and a very well organised buffet for all to enjoy. I could not fault it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh and we definitely recommend that you visit and experience for your self.

Fantastic experience: Went to Barnstaple Hotel for a Sunday carvery and didn't disappoint. Both food and staff are of the highest quality.

Fantastic experience: Only stopped for a cup of coffee. However we had meals here before and the food is always delicious. The bar area, is clean and comfortable. All facilities are well looked after, as were we, even though it was just a coffee break. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Sunday carvery is in world of its own. Same price as most pubs etc, but classier surroundings, better quality food.

Fantastic experience: Lovely venue, clean, tidy and well presented. Staff pleasant, although the bar always closes too early and breakfast ends too early on Sunday. Convenient location and ample parking, but be prepared for noisy seagulls and a fishy aroma as there is a fish processing plant next door, but overall very good value for the price.

Fantastic experience: Can't really rate the Hotel at the moment but I have anyway, we only arrived bout 15mins ago. Room is nice, ground floor past the indoor swimming pool n our room is outside! The seating area looks good and the Bar too

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say about the hotel, the staff are absolutely amazing and I mean every single member of the team all ways willing to help, the bar has a wide range of beverages, the restaurant is very nice the food was good the staff were very attentive did not wait long after ordering, two heated swimming pools, a nice size garden to lounge in, I really shouldn't recommend this hotel as I don't want it to be fully booked because I am definitely going back, ps I don't work here, never worked here, have no family connection to the hotel no shares in it, its just a nice place 10 out of 10

Fantastic experience: Stayed for one night. This is a smart tidy hotel with high standards. The food is excellent complemented by attentive and friendly staff in all areas in particular in the restaurant. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic experience: Great 3 nights in first floor pool view room. Great service all round, especially in the restaurant with the 2 Anna's working. 2 pools, good bar, good restaurant, outside area and interior are all very good. Covid precautions are very reassuring and sensible. Only 3 stars apparently, but much better than that in reality. 2 reasons it would be downgraded are that there is no lift to first floor and in some outside areas the place looks a little tired, but that is only superficial. We went there for our wedding anniversary and would happily go back again.

Fantastic experience: This was my short notice to book this hotel as the ilfracombe hotel was disgusting, £132 for 1 night, had a gym, swimming pool, free wifi! It was so worth it! Beautiful room, all updated looks, super clean. Excellent staff, wedding was going on during that night but noise went away after a couple of hours. It was a better night sleep i was gonna get compared to the dilkhura grand hotel .

Fantastic experience: Lovely comfy, but modern hotel, very clean & Covid-19 assured. With good light in bedroom full wall of windows and wall to wall full length curtains. The hotel is nicely refurbished since our last stay. Love the pool & sauna. Hotel convenient for Barnstaple & other coastal spots.

Fantastic experience: Very nice hotel, staff were excellent. Great facilities, food was lovely, very clean and even had air conditioning in the room. My only negative is that there is no lift.

Fantastic experience: Booked for the Sunday carvery but because of new government restrictions it was a plated meal and table service. Choice of 2 meats, veg and all the trimmings. It was all lovely (well maybe not the sprouts! ). Choice of 4 sweets. Excellent service. Well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Darell the hotel manager and his wonderful staff. We got married here yesterday what a brilliant day. Darell was so attentive and looked after us all day. The meal was excellent and the transformation of the room from ceremony to wedding breakfast to evening do spectacular. We really felt like royalty. I am so privileged. Guys you are truly amazing. Fantastic experience: Haven't stayed here or used the hotel facilities. Apparently from the restaurant, for a Sunday Carvery it would take a lot of beating as it's truly brilliant. I have to say it's in my opinion the best around. Only room for improvement is a large option as the plates are a little small. Think that's cause I go mad due to the quality on the food. The deserts are nice too really all you can ever want.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic Hotel! We had our wedding breakfast and evening party here back in 2016. Martin and the staff could not of made our day more special they were all brilliant. The food here is sensational especially the Sunday Carvery the best around for miles! People saying about the hotel being a bit dated it does feel dated in some areas of the hotel BUT it's always very clean here! A lot better than some other hotels. They have a great spa area, gym and swimming pools (indoor & outdoor) both heated. Always recommend friends and family that travel down to stay here because we know they won't be disappointed with the service and price.

Fantastic experience: Excellent well appointed, small but excellent double room with large bathroom. Just finished a meal in the restaurant, outstanding as good as restaurants in Central London at a fraction of the price - very impressed. Unfortunately I am only staying for 1 night.

Fantastic experience: We set up a party in one of the private rooms and had a carvery on the Sunday. The room had 3 big tables and fit a party of 25 comfortable. It had its own bar and we had 2 people serving us which made it easy to get drinks. Overall a pleasant experience and well organised team.

Fantastic experience: Just spend 3 nights at the hotel with my parents and my sister. The walk from the garden rooms which were decorated lovely and were very comfortable, were a bit far away from the restaurant for my parents hence the staff moved them as soon as this was possible which was excellent service. All the staff, but especially the restaurant manager and the assistant hotel manager made sure our stay was everything we expected and took time to make my dad as comfortable and safe as possible for which we are really grateful. The food was amazing and we cannot fault any meal we had, and the decor , pool and the gym was fab. I would strongly recommend. Thanks everyone Allison and Denise

Fantastic experience: We visited as part of stay with family in Devon. Took our two children swimming using the indoor and outdoor pool, both of which are heated and we all had a great time. Facilities are well kept and look newly refurbished, food after was very nice also. Would thoroughly recommend.
