Brighton, Hove & Steyning, welcome to Ty Paul Personal Training. Winner of Men's Health Magazine 'Britain's Best Coach' Award and officially the highest 5* google rated personal trainer in Hove, Ty has over 16 years experience as a elite personal trainer and Gym manager. During his 16 years as one of Brighton and Hove's most qualified trainers Ty has inspired Sussex radio listeners to keep fit whilst working with Heart FM’s breakfast show, trains Premier League male and female Brighton and Hove Albion football players including Yves Bissouma and Dutch international Inessa Kaagman who represented the Netherlands at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, and is also the founder of Ty Paul’s Over 60's fitness class in affiliation with Age UK. Ty was appointed by the NHS to provide dedicated personal training to vulnerable patients during the Covid-19 crises through a class that has now been rolled out throughout the UK. This weekly class, provided by the NHS enrolled through GP referral, aims to lower BMI and improve cardiovascular fitness. In addition to teaching circuit, tabata and boxing classes, Ty also offers couples or group training which can either focus on general fitness goals or more targeted fitness.

He will work closely with you every step of the way, adapting and ensuring effective and safe training throughout your pregnancy. Ty understands the needs and challenges of being a new mum, and will work with you to get your pre baby body back so you’ll feel energised and confident. Bootcamp-style training in a group of your choice. A fun and cost effective way to tone up, increase your energy levels, improve your metabolism and burn fat. With Ty’s Bootcamp - the benefits are endless - everyone gets a hard workout as well as gaining valuable time with their friends. A non military-style Bootcamp, Ty will tailor it to how you want it... Whether it’s legs, bums and tums, or more of a boxercise session, it’s up to you! Kettlebell, circuit, bootcamp, TRX, ABS only, legs bums & tums, HIIT, sports conditioning training are all available (Min 5 people per group £10 each).

Ty currently trains Brighton and Mali International Yves Bissouma, Jurgen Locadia, Emily Simpkins and Dutch internations Inessa Kaagman and Danique Kerkdijk. While Ty is not trying to pass off as a doctor, he can help to overcome any sports injury or health related issues you may have. He is qualified in Level 4 lower back pain, and holds the GP referral qualification allowing him to work in conjunction with doctors. Ty also has experience helping people with rotator cuff problems, back issues, arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus, stress & anxiety, depression, joint replacement, hypertension, COPD, asthma and obesity. If you’re looking for help with any of these health related issues then you’ve come to the right place!

To achieve the best results it is neccesary to take your diet into consideration. Ty advises dietary changes to maximise your fitness goals. As part of your initial consultation, he will discuss your current diet and suggest the most beneficial and effective plan for you. Your results will be transferred directly to a mobile phone or tablet so you can access your results at any time. Using advanced BIA technology for precise measurement of health data, Ty will monitor your Weight, BMI, Body fat, Protein, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Fat-free Body Weight, Body water, Skeletal Muscle, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, BMR, Metabolic Age.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend highly enough. Without doubt the best, and the hardest working trainer in the business. Ty has helped me achieve and expand my fitness goals, and transformed me from someone who would sporadically go to the gym and never really achieve anything due to inconsistency, to someone who now gets results and loves going and having it as a sustainable part of my life. Fantastic experience: Started exercising weekly with Ty in Lancing Parish Hall nearly 2 years ago. When we had the first lockdown, Ty came up with the idea of doing a Zoom session so that we could do class from home. Wasn`t overkeen initially, but he talked me through it, hand delivered a band (disinfected) and almost a year on I am enjoyed Tuesday and Thursday training sessions from the comfort of my own home. I have a few joint issues (knees, back etc) and am sure these sessions have been a great help during these times of restriction. He does challenge us but insists that we do what we are comfortable with- it does encourage us to challenge ourselves. Also on the social side, we all get to have a chat which is great and it also gives a bit of structure to at least two days a week!

Fantastic experience: Ty is everything you would want from a personal trainer: he's a nice bloke, friendly, enjoyable to work with, very supportive and a great trainer that gets results. He's professional and takes real pride in his service; on my first session he'd researched my medical condition extensively and had produced a fitness plan bespoke to me. Consequently my fitness has improved significantly after just a few months and I enjoy the workouts every time. He really is highly recommended and it was great to see him included in a recent Men's Health magazine when they named him one of Britain's Best Coaches - he absolutely deserved it.

Fantastic experience: Training with Ty has been a delight. I always have a good laugh, listen to some great songs (sing along to Toto anyone?) but most importantly, I am always thrown into a challenging but fun workout each time. He is a very patient chap who deals with my billion questions outside of our sessions quickly and effectively. Definitely worth a look in for anyone looking to improve physical or mental health. Major plus: he has 2 very sweet sausage dogs that will sometimes hang out with you during a session. If that doesn't motivate you, then I don't know what will!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been trained by Ty on a weekly basis for the past 6 months. He is extremely friendly and patient. Especially as I am not especially fit and don't enjoy exercise! Fantastic experience: I started training with Ty after twisting my ACL playing rugby. I chose Ty due to his sports background and due to his qualifications in rehabilitation. After a few months I can honestly say that my knee has never been so strong. It wasnt my intention to continue training once my recovery was completed but once I experienced the level of detail in his training methods, I decided to use his methods to improve my fitness and strength. I can now say that I am at my fitness and strongest I have ever been.

Fantastic experience: Highly hrecommend.Training with Ty has been extremely useful. He has taken my health issues into account and we have worked within doable boundaries. Fantastic experience: Ty has been my PT for about a year now and I can honestly say he has made a massive difference to my life. I’ve lost over 15kg, changed body shape dramatically but most importantly gained so much more confidence in myself. He’s really approachable, making sessions “enjoyable” but hard, motivates not only during sessions but throughout the rest of the week as well and I would be remiss if I did not mention the value for money his rates offer. Ty is able to offer advice not only on particular exercises and regimes but also on dietary concerns to help achieve those goals you want to hit. Overall I couldn’t recommend a personal trainer more, especially if you’re somebody like me, who needed help making significant lifestyle changes but didn’t have the willpower to do it yourself.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been happily working with Ty for 5 years now and initially approached him because I’d had enough of gyms and wanted a varied approach to training, both in the fresh air and at home. Ty really offered the challenging programme that I was looking for and through a combination of activities including seafront running, boxing, kettle bells, battle ropes and much more he has continued to push me. Ty regularly varies the programme that I do as he knows I get bored of routines easily and by doing this he knows he stands a better chance of keeping me motivated. Over the years Ty has also become a great friend and his humour and support during sessions has been incredible. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him!
