Fantastic experience: I visited Blaydon pool on 9th Feb after pre-booking lane swimming to train for the Great North Swim. I hadn’t been in a pool for about 15 years so was slightly apprehensive and wasn’t sure where to go etc let alone what my abilities were! From the outset all staff were friendly and helpful from reception staff to a manager who gave me advice on goggles, caps, where to go open water swimming and wet suits etc. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable and was very impressed with everyone’s pleasant demeanour. Fantastic experience: I was there for a procedure. But it is a very big place to find where you are going, but plenty reception desks to ask directions.

Fantastic experience: I went for an MRI and was extremely nervous as I'm claustrophobic.i was put at ease by the lovely staff, kept my eyes closed the entire time. The staff are really professional and kind.

Fantastic experience: I needed a MRI scan at Blaydon, very easy to find and get to. There is plenty of parking for the primary care and leisure centre. Also the toilets are very clean. Could not fault the service provided.

Fantastic experience: Excellent swimming pool. Great swimming instructors. Lots of room for parking, some taken up by mobile testing but still lots of room left. Electric charger in the car park too. The car park is a temporary covid test site

Fantastic experience: I can only say that the amount of facilities in the centre was amazing, from Swimming pool, gym, to medical suite's, with x-ray and consulting rooms, I think they may Evan have a CT Scanner(not sure) they is also a Cafe on site.

Fantastic experience: I wwas there to take my mam for hwr Covid-19 vaccination, they were very well organised with social distancing and looking after patients afterwards...

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment here to get my implant removed to have a baby. They lady standing next to me was lovely she was always taking and making me feel confutable but the only thing is they don’t give you any advise any help no information nothing that’s the only bad thing.

Fantastic experience: I have just used the Covid walk in centre this morning due to symptoms. These guys who run this centre are a credit to the human race. Amazingly well organised, professional and friendly. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: Good pool apart from the whole place is glass so no privacy when you're in your swimming costume. Great hospital appointments generally are taken on time. Rarely do they run late like the bigger hospitals and the bonus is free parking!!!

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre is also and importantly a medical centre offering triage and if needed the attention of a Doctor. All kinds of clinics including audiology, podiatry as well as a St Oswalds clinic and X Ray facility. The centre also includes Swimming pool, and Gymnasium. The centre is a vital recourse to the local area.

Fantastic experience: Attended for Triple A scan (i.e. check for aortic aneurysm). Quick efficient service with friendly staff. Result of scan given immediately - very reassuring. I would recommend all men over the age of 65 to have it done. It is a free NHS service.

Fantastic experience: Gym and exercises are good here and staff, other facility users are mostly friendly. There is a small cafe just inside the entrance which handy for pre-gym or class.

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool is wet, sometimes the showers aren't.... But the teachers are great. I looked at the gym once but it seemed like hard work!! - as great as it is to have the walk-in centre downstairs; I didn't want to risk ending up in there....

Fantastic experience: Would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff working at the baths and on reception tonigt as they were fantastic my child had her trainers stolen from her locker !!! And the staff took it very seriously so who ever had taken them got spooked and threw them in a changing room ! So thank u so much for ur assistance and helping getting them back was handled professionally and the women were so lovely with my lil girl

Fantastic experience: Great place for everyone. Swimming baths for everyone to enjoy with 2 pools 1 for the little ones and then the bigger pool for the adults. Well appointed gym with plenty of equipment for use. They also have a cafe onsite which has plenty on offer to fill anyone's appetite big or small. Recommend for kids pool party or just a dip in the pool.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool. It is very clean with a no shoes policy upon entering the changing rooms. Every thing is well maintained and staff are great (instructors get stuck in and jump in the pool to model the actions). They always put toys out for the toddlers session. The new café in the leisure centre is very affordable with some tasty options. The medical centre is great for emergencies as the wait is usually reasonable and staff very caring. We haven't used the gym.

Fantastic experience: My first time here and was extremely pleased with what I saw. There's a lot of places under the one roof, leisure centre is fantastic and look forward to going to the swimming pool. Highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been yet..

Fantastic experience: So modern and well maintained. This gigantic place is my home and haven. The gym is superb and the staff and bloody lovley, the pool in great and the walk-in center in right there for convenience. There are loads of amazing exercise classes and a massive field with posts which look over the beautiful lake.

Fantastic experience: Good gym and swimming pool it does get a bit busy at times but if you go off peak it's excellent. All the staff are friendly and will help you with anything and monthly membership from £19 a month to use all of Gateshead leisure centres you can't go wrong. This place is always spotless.

The changing rooms, the pool and it's surrounding area, the corridor entrance and staff are impeccably clean, well organised and welcoming. 10 out of 10! Keep up the excellent work. Fantastic experience: Its easy to get to can get bus direct from metrocentre to the door practically. Of all the appointments I've had here i don't think I've ever waited more than ten minutes to be seen. Have not had the opportunity to use the swimming pool yet but i will and will report accordingly.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and friendly staff. Even at busy times there is never any real problems, if you plan to use 5+ machines and expect to never wait a few moments at busy times then what you are looking for is a home gym. Very clean and tidy, I use both the gym and pool. Recently new more machines added to gym or upgraded too! (I agree though that the still broken card swipe to enter gym needs repairing asap!)
