Nuffield Health Croydon Central Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

Positive experience: I have used every Virgin club in croydon and others too.The Imperial way crocket and tennis Virgin club is the best.Feels like another club rebranded to Virginactive which It is. You do pay lot more. The Croydon central club got a nice pool improved sauna but the male steam room could be better compare with the two other having seen both Virginactive clubs.The Streatham virgin has been refurbished.So I will be using that one for the steam till things change.

Fantastic experience: I'm seriously thinking about buying a membership! It's cheap and since I'm a frequent visitor it'll be actually beneficial for me. The steam room is the best and the cleanest I've seen so far.

The tour from James was thoroughly enjoyable, I ABSOLUTELY would recommend this Gym, I am always greeted with a warm welcome - Kay is the receptionist I see most of the time and she is so lovely ... I am very happy I joined this gym and can’t wait for the Jacuzzi to be up and running!

Fantastic experience: The staff here are amazing, I was greeted by a lovely mixed race receptionist today, she went above and beyond to help me! This is very rare.. I must say it makes all the difference being greeted with a smile and with people who seem genuinely interested in your wellbeing. I will be spreading the word of the lovely experience I’ve had here, I’m really happy I decided to join this gym!

Positive experience: Overall, I do think this is a good fitness centre for the money - the variety of classes is great and all the instructors I’ve had are fantastic. The pool and sauna area is lovely and tranquil, plus, you can always get on machines in the gym itself. My reason for giving 4 and not 5 stars is that some areas are a little tired and can do with updating e.g. the changing rooms feel old and some of the gym machines could do with being replaced.

Positive experience: I like this gym. The gym is small but not claustrophobic. I like the fact that they have a hack squat machine.

Fantastic experience: Connor is a fantastic PT. He has helped me train for the London marathon and supports me with advice and tips. He is very dedicated to his PT role and this shows in every session. In his management position he has been able to facilitate and resolve my membership queries with accuracy and professionalism at all times. He is a credit to the club and the company. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. I used to be at David Lloyd and am really happy I have moved to Nuffield Central Croydon. Open plan gym with great staff, lovely pool and sauna and the classes are popular and well done. Would recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: I go to the gym to keep fit and loose weight. Well all I can say is all the instructors here are excellent. Especially Marina and Angie...so full of energy and enthusiasm. I've lost 5 stones in the past year by coming here every week consistently and following advice from the instructors. With a combination of support from the pilates, body pump,acqua, zumba and cycling /RPM instructors (who are all different - but I mention them only because I love these classes) my diet has changed for the better hopefully for life..and I'm over half a century young. I'm sure the other instructors are just as brilliant and committed . I wouldn't swap any of them. I go to Norbury and the other Croydon gym too but only because of the class times and my convenience. Yes things need repairing but that's because we use the stuff!! Never put your car or boiler in for service..and how many people use your car or boiler compared to the gym...ahaa..ca' ching. Enjoy!

Fantastic experience: Always clean, well maintained and a good atmosphere. All memberships include classes and use of the pool, hydro pool and sauna.

Positive experience: Spacious, all the necessary equipment, swimming pool and saunas. The only thing they lack is a food counter.

Positive experience: Very good stainless steel lined swimming pool in the basement. Kept clean but maintenance of the facilities was poorly done during Virgin Active ownership. Hoping Nuffield Health will do better
