Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. We love our family swimming there and our son loves his lessons. Teachers are amazing.

Fantastic experience: Went swimming with little one was good and quiet during school time tho on second visit had to leave early due to people taking photos moved down pool so my kids wouldn't get included but they continued to take photos down the pool life guard didn't say anything looked like he was going to fall asleep didn't like idea of strangers having photos of my little boy and my 17 year old daughter so left did speak to reception but nothing was said

Fantastic experience: I do a light circuit cardiac work out for 45minutes and really look forward to it. I also do Wednesday at Birtley Leisure Centre.

Fantastic experience: I love going to the leisure centre you can go to the gym and use different equipment. There's also swimming pools and sports halls as well as saunas and steam rooms.

Fantastic experience: My youngest really enjoyed the small pool which had a selection of inflatables and floats for him to play with. It did get a bit rowdy when a group of kids came into the pool, but the staff were very vigilant and maintained order when they were getting a bit too exuberant.

Fantastic experience: Great for taking your children too on a rainy day as there is a huge indoor soft play for kids aged at around 1-8years the olders one can learn to climb opposite to soft play if there not afraid of heights that is! Also Swimming and activity lessons are available within the centre. Lovley cafee at a reasonable price outside the soft play and in soft play. Overall lovely day out and keeps the kids entertained.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities. They have the warmest little pool in the area. Nice and attentative lifeguards. Soft play is big and worth the price. Clip and climb looks excellent but haven't used it yet. Venue offers a lot of space for events such as sports and parties. I struggle with their cafe however, the staff aren't really approachable and they don't have clear food menus up, I still don't really know what they can offer.

Fantastic experience: Great place, extensive facilities. Really helped us out this summer with the kids being off. Found most staff extremely helpful. Plenty activities for the kids. So so difficult to find great places in the summer months for the kids. Not really super expensive either when it comes to refreshments. Will be a regular visitor now because if the fun had this summer. Thank you to Susan and the team that looked after our two kids. X

Fantastic experience: The Clip and Climb here is fabulous, my 11 year old daughter loved it. All ages, over a certain height, are welcome.

Fantastic experience: Excellent venue with large access and good toilet facilities. Good selection of activities including, swimming, sports, squash and a children's play area.

Fantastic experience: Love the play area. Great for the kids. Plenty of seats and refreshments. Plenty other activities to do aswell. Visit at least once a week.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. There is lots of free space - great for those of us who don't really use the machines much. It's very light and most of the time has a relaxed feel. I think the fee is £28 a month, which I feel is a fair price, especially as it allows use of all of the council's gyms.

Fantastic experience: Good gym. Bear's den is a good soft play. Some staffing shortages for classes over the six weeks, but still nice.

Fantastic experience: Great range of facilities here, feels very fresh and brand new, even tho it's been there a few years. Obviously well invested in by the Council. Not much parking, and for some bizzare reason the main entrance is round the back of the building, sandwiched between the Leisure Centre and the Library - once inside however, very impressive.

Fantastic experience: Here for the AoC Volleyball National Championships. Nice venue, with catering and good staff. Sports Hall has excellent natural lighting.
