BodyZone Ladies Fitness

Fantastic experience: Decent hours, friendly and open to drop-ins for people passing through Newcastle. There are lockers for rent and good sized change rooms. They seem to have a good selection of all the basic equipment, and for women there's a very large (half a floor) women-only area with a great free weight selection, weight machines, cardio equipment, and stretching area.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve been to. Very friendly staff, lots of equipment, great classes and it’s really cheap. The gym has great atmosphere and promotes body positivity. Would recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Very happy to support a long established independence gym. I’ve been using this gym for a few years and the price includes all classes (including my favourite spin class) and a sauna. The new changes the gym have made to focus on woman’s health and fitness has made me feel more comfortable in the new space and confident to try new classes too. I chose to stop my membership before the lockdown and paid the rejoin fee this month and also pay the slightly increased monthly rate, but this was clearly stated in multiple emails and communication by the gym the past few months so I have no problem with this as I was expecting it. Lovely staff and clean facilities too!

Positive experience: I maiy use this for bodupump which is great with a friendly instructor. I'd like to use the main gym every now and then but its unbearably hot in summer with no air con and the only water points are the taps in the toilets which is weird.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym! Plenty of space and a lot of good gym machines - I never have to wait in the queue. They have a lady’s section with a lot of good equipment, too! There is a separate cardio section which is quite big. It really is my favourite gym in Newcastle.

Fantastic experience: I was a member here for more than 6months nd i loved it. The staff is really nice and helpfull. There is an area where only the ladies can enter and do their traning. There is even a sauna inside the ladies changing room what i loved to use. I would recommend this place 100%.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this gym since January and although I'm not shy at working out in mixed gyms, the ladies room in this gym is amazing so I never leave it! Fabulous equipment, tons of space and the staff are very approachable and friendly! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I'd been a member of Body Zone since I started working in Newcastle 7 years ago. The staff have always been helpful and attentive and the gym itself is very well equipped for the monthly fee. I have changed jobs and moved from Newcastle and as they state you aren't tied in so they made leaving very easy just wished me well. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a gym in years never enjoyed going but was advised by my chiropractor to do some pilates to help a bad back. I was a little nervous about joining but started off doing virtual classes pilates and body balance in January this year and never looked back. Now I do spinning classes and use gym facilities as well as the virtual classes. The instructors and staff are so friendly and helpful no matter what your fitness level they are there to help and advise, nothing is ever too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym. Clean, spacious, lots of equipment - 2+ of all weight machines, countless cross trainers, bikes, treadmills, free weights, benches, you name it. They also do classes which I've yet to try, but they sound fun!

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym after going to 'The Gym' for a few years and oh boy is it an upgrade. BodyZone seems to have everything in mind for a good workout. Upstairs, the female changing rooms are spacious, have a sauna, hairdryers, lockers, showers, toilets and big mirrors. Upstairs also has a ladies only area which is nice to make use of, especially if you are a beginner. There are loads of classes upstairs too which you can go along to at no extra cost and the staff have always been happy to answer my questions or to just have a chat. Always some kinda rave music on which is helpful for if you forget your earphones!

Fantastic experience: I was in Newcastle for a week and needed a gym, Bodyzone was brilliant - 5 day pass at a great price, very friendly staff, all the machines and free weights you could wish for. Not too busy even at peak times. I'll be back!

Excellent friendly and welcoming team. Definitely recommend it, no matter what level you are in terms of wanting to get fit, lose fat and build muscle or just feel great about yourself

Fantastic experience: BODYZONE offers friendly & supportive staff, all the equipment you need with opening hours that accommodate early risers and 9-5'ers. Everything you need from a gym at a more than reasonable price in a great city centre location. I have been a member for a few years now and I do not plan on leaving any time soon.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Bodyzone for nearly 3 years. The gym has always been maintained to an excellent standard and recently has gone through a massive renovation process with very little impact on members. Creating a huge free weights section and great new showers and locker room. Sean Thornton a personal trainer at Bodyzone has helped my rehabilitation through a number of injuries and has kept me motivated over the last few years. I have been a member of a number of more expensive national gyms that don't measure up to Bodyzone.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for giving my daughter a free personal training session. I explained the situation to the owner re my daughters self conscious attitude about going to a gym. Sunil was very understanding and sympathetic. The gym equipment was astounding and all new! The gym is light and airy and totally unpretentious but very stylish. The staff were smiling and full of enthusiasm. We have been members of large chains and always felt a bit like a number. This is a privately owned gym and no expense seems to have been spared.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym as well as an awesome workplace! After the refurbishment in November/December the facilities have never been better. This is in addition to the great atmosphere always present in the gym. No other gym feels like home!

Fantastic experience: Very good gym. There's a lot of equipment, and its always very clean and looked-after. The staff are helpful and the cost of the membership is extremely good value for money.

Fantastic experience: I trained here every day for six days on a weekly pass ( which was very reasonably priced ) as I was up from London working in Newcastle. I was made to feel very welcome and felt as if I had been coming here for years. Indeed, I wish I had been. It has every single piece of equipment that any gym user could need and more. It's also very spacious so that even if it's busy you don't really notice and can still stay in your zone and get to use anything you require. I'm sorry to be going home actually. They also have a really hot woman running the desk called Mitch.
