Fantastic experience: Andy's cycle strength training sessions have made a huge difference to my core strength on the bike. He tailors the session really well to everyone's needs and abilities. He creates a good balance - it's both challenging and sociable. These sessions get me through the Winter !

Fantastic experience: Had my 1st personal training session in a long time with Andy at AFF. They have a gym at the top end of Harrogate with all the equipment you could possibly want to run up a sweat. Andy defined my goals and give me a fantastic workout. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing the training session with Andy on the Appleby estate for over a year. As often is the case, work has the tendency to get in the way of exercise but Andy's sessions are so convenient. Every Wednesday morning I roll out of bed, get changed, step out of my door and enjoy an hours training session with a group of fellow fitness fanatics (!?) in the lovely surroundings of where we live. Andy is great and the sessions are very relaxed and I have seen my fitness and ability improve. I would recommend everyone to come along, join us and give it a go for a session!

Fantastic experience: As an impressive sportsman himself Andy has the experience and the knowledge to guide you to your goals. He as a very individual approach and pays attention to technique which is the most important aspect of development (in my opinion). I attended many of Andy's cyclist specific gym classes which merged intervals with weight training and shone a new light on my functional deficiencies. No longer the weak core and underused glutes (for 15yrs), but I now had a stable platform for cycling. Well recommended for anyone taking up sport or at the top of their game, Andy will bring you something different with a bit of fun along the way.

Fantastic experience: I have always valued sport and exercise as a way of life but after a few marathons and a really busy time with work had started to lose my mojo. I talked to Andy about some PT sessions and very quickly it became clear that he could help with that. Andy made sure that he found out a lot about my background first which was really impressive - it was clear that his was not going to be a cookie cutter approach. He wanted to know my goals from the off so that he could come up with a plan that was aligned with them. He also knew that as I have a gym membership as well I needed to be able to take what he taught me and use it elsewhere. His approach is very motivating - he seems to be able to read what an individual's intrinsic levels of motivation are and then fill in the gaps, giving that extra push. Again, he adapts according to who he is dealing with. Despite thinking I was generally quite fit I was somewhat broken by 5pm the day after my first session, the sign of a good workout. And after that first one the only way is up. In summary I cannot recommend Andy highly enough. If you or anyone you know need to get in shape, need help with a particular goal or race, or just need your mojo back, he's absolutely worth the pain!

Fantastic experience: Appleby Fitness Sessions I am part of a small group who meet up on Monday and Wednesday mornings (usually 6:45am) with Andy Gardner and train outdoors around the Appleby Development and through the Nidd Gorge. The 1 hour sessions are excellent and even though Andy manages to pack in a serious amount of pain we all manage to have some fun and banter (when we are not catching our breath!). I would highly recommend anyone to join in with this friendly group or other sessions Andy runs to get fit whilst enjoying the outdoors.

Fantastic experience: I've got in touch with Fitness Formula asking about Sports Massage. I've started with message therapy with Fitness Formula about once a month and I feel much better when exercising and at work. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I go to a small group with Andy on a Wednesday morning where we do a combination of circuits and boxing. The training is really varied. I always leave feeling like I've pushed myself. Just after a few weeks, I could already notice a difference in my fitness. Highly recommend it's not often I enjoy hiit workouts but Andy makes it fun.

Fantastic experience: Now had a couple of personal training sessions with Andy at AFF. He's highly motivated for his clients to succeed and will set out to help you achieve your goal. Even enjoyed the timed challenge test we did. Looking forwards to seeing how I've improved the next time I repeat the test.

Fantastic experience: My one-on-one sessions with Andy were great. There was variety in all the sessions and he kept me going and kept pushing me far beyond what I would have been able to manage on my own. His expertise in everything from running technique to weights was hugely valuable and his assisted stretching was amazing! Highly recommended for anyone, like me, looking to improve their overall fitness and physical health.

Fantastic experience: I haves recently started with Andy's training group, I can't recommend them enough. I had the usual gym membership that in all honesty I hadn't even been for a year! in the past three weeks not only have I done more exercise then in the past 3 years, I have also met some great new friends. I am already feeling fitter than I ever did after going to the gym. The training sessions have a great balance of pushing yourself forward but also a great laugh. If you are feeling nervous about getting started Andy will put you at ease.
