Formula One Fitness Gym

Fantastic experience: Back at Formula One, like the above comments suggest, a great atmosphere and the only gym I have found myself comfortable working out in. Also, kind staff to help you with any questions regarding training.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Formula One for several years. There have been times when I went a long time without going, due to work or university, but every time I've come back I've been treated excellently, like a friend or member of the family. The staff are all incredibly friendly and know what they're talking about. They'll help you with your form on the machines, give you workouts that are achievable yet challenging, and will happily give you nutritional advice to make sure you've got the fuel you need to achieve your goals. They work out what's best for you based on what you want to achieve. There are actually two gym floors, one for men and one for women, and a fitness suite used by several classes. You don't go to Formula One to "show off", you go to train in a friendly and supportive environment. Out of all the places I've trained, this is the best.

Fantastic experience: Formula 1 has become a real asset to my fitness journey. I’ve definitely made the most of the amenities that come with the membership like classes and standing sundbed after workouts. The possibility of going into a well-fitted all women’s area was a real safety net for me those days where I didn’t feel as confident. I’ve been more consistent here than anywhere else - I’d credit that to the welcoming energy of staff and the respect from other members too. With my difficult work schedule I’m lucky that the gym is not overly busy at any one time which is differs from the commercial gyms I’ve been to before.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a welcoming and affordable gym for your fitness, then look no further than Formula One! The gym offers all of the necessary equipment you could ever need to push yourself further in your goals! As somebody who started out not knowing much about fitness and nervous to start their journey, I felt very welcomed by the friendly and approachable attitudes from the team every single day; always being greeted with a smile. If you need help or have any questions, then the team are always there happy to offer assistance and will help push you in the right direction to what you want to achieve. The gym is constantly kept clean and the equipment is maintained very regularly, so I personally feel very safe and comfortable using the equipment and being in the environment. I cannot fault this gym or the team at all. If you are looking to start your journey or for a new gym in central Nottingham, then I strongly recommend stopping in for a tour of the venue!

Fantastic experience: Joe and his team at F1 are a credit to themselves and the fitness industry in Nottingham. An authentic and friendly gym that flies the flag for real gym culture in the city centre. Affordable prices and better equipment than all those cheap commercial gyms. It’s never too busy even at peak times and you don’t get groups of young lads treating it like a social club - people come to F1 to train hard, properly and respectfully. F1 feels like a non-judgemental space where everybody is welcome and people just want to see each other improve and grow - the staff are personable + knowledgeable and take great care of upholding the quality of the gym equipment, and keeping the place clean. I’ve been a member at a lot of gyms over the last 10 years and in the short 6 months of being at F1 I’ve made more friends/acquaintances within the gym than I have with all the previous gyms I’ve trained at, combined. + I’ve made more strength gains at F1 than anywhere previous (those metal plates will humble you quick) Long live F1.

Fantastic experience: Formula one gym is one of a kind. The staff are amazing and incredibly friendly. I used to go here 10 years ago and I'm still greeted warmly by staff when I return on the odd occasion. Good equipment, lots of free weights, separate female only gym and a very friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars, I would! This is by far, the best gym I've ever been to. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, you don't get this in any other gym. The equipment may not be to everyone's taste as it's old school but this is what adds to the character of the gym. There's always a great atmosphere, members are also friendly and won't hesitate to provide a helping hand when needed. I've tried a couple of classes and both have been brilliant, the instructors are really experienced and again, very knowledgeable. If you haven't done so already, get yourself down to F1 to experience this yourself, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

You have a variety of classes, separate male and female gyms, and the ability to have a personal plan created for your needs. Great gym, fantastic staff and always the best atmosphere

Fantastic experience: I signed up to formula one on Wednesday and I can honestly say it’s the best gym I’ve ever been too. It has every piece of equipment for each individual muscle group. Everyone is friendly and so are the staff, I highly recommend joining with such an reasonable price

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to F1 gym for over a year. I go early doors and at that time you're rarely waiting for machines in the ladies-only gym. The facility isn't shiny and hyper-modern, but it is down-to-earth, friendly, and welcoming. Joe is always around with a smile and a word of encouragement, Stacey will give you tips on the best way to use the machines if you ask for them, and Alex is always up for a chat, no matter how early the hour. I'm moving away and I'm gutted that I can't take F1 with me, but I wish them every success when they reopen.

Fantastic experience: This is the only gym I’ve ever been to where I feel comfortable in the male weights section! There’s also a females-only gym on a separate floor with a weight section & several different machines. The staff are always friendly & will be happy to help you if you need advice on your form or a new exercise!

Fantastic experience: Formula One has been lifechanging for me. I've lived in Nottingham all my life and having tried multiple gyms in the city, Formula One is definitely my favourite. The gym is emotionally warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who engage with people, and are willing to advise and support you. Others who visit are usually very respectful- keeping the gym tidy and maintaining a nice positive atmosphere. As someone who hasn't been training for long, I feel very comfortable here. This is a people's gym, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a gym they'll enjoy.

Fantastic experience: This gym has a separate floor for ladies. No gents allowed on the ladies. It is one the the few gums in nottingham that have a separate ladies are. They have very good facilities. Shower, spa, changing area, lockers, toilets and hairdryers. The staff and trainers are very friendly and provide a full workout regime based your particular target.

Fantastic experience: Good small gym with all the equipment you need at a reasonable price of £20 a month. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is all clean and well maintained.

Fantastic experience: I have been in all most gyms at Nottingham city but only I can say that Formula1 is the best and my favourite,Very friendly and warm staff ,old school equipments makes you feeling doing proper workout

Fantastic experience: This is a friendly place to train where students get discounted membership and there's no joining fees. You can pay for single sessions or 1 month to a full year. Regular qualified staff are on hand to help and guide. Separate women's gym and free classes to those who are members. 6 days a week opening.

Fantastic experience: Joined last week due to my previous gym being closed for a refurb. Very impressed with the wide range of equipment and it has a great location in the middle of the city centre so I can go on my lunch break at work. Included in my membership they are offering to write me a programme card and take me through it teaching me the exercises I should be doing to reach my goals. Won't be going back to my previous gym, thanks for the help :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve never felt so at ease working out. The staff at this gym are like no other! Caring, attentive and really encouraging no matter if it’s your first time or 1000th time working out. I feel so at home, motivated and most of all listened to if I need help, advice or just a friendly chat x I’d always recommend F1 x

Fantastic experience: Very nice gym. Perfect for bodybuilding. I like iron dumbbells and the Olympic barbell. If you want really get bigger this is def the best choice.

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit today, incredibly warm and friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, felt very at ease in the men’s weight area compared to other comercial gyms. I would join if the opening hours were a bit later, but will definitely be visiting again.
