The Powerbuilding Strength & Fitness

Fantastic experience: Super pleased that this gym is located in my hometown of Plymouth. Equipment here is suited to powerlifting and strongman training. It is reassuring to know that the brains behind this gym are Leoni and Matthew Tatman. Leoni is 3x British Powerlifting Champion and IPF World Gold Medalist in the 52kg weight class. The gym also supports and holds powerlifting and strongman competitions (e.g. Plymouth’s Strongest Man/Woman). The gym hold classes that you can book ahead of time and if you were new like me, it is recommended to reserve a day pass ahead of time, as the gym may hold a competition or members only session. Fantastic experience: Good platforms, racks, speciality bars monolift, loads of great machines and great strongman equipment. Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent onsite physio and sports massage. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly family run business. If your into powerlifting, strongman or just interested in lifting weights this is the place to go. 1,000s of Kgs of weights and plenty of machines to hit every part of your body aswel as strongman equipment suck as Yolk, Atleast stones, and Log. To top it off unlike most commercial gyms the place is kept tidy with members putting the weights back after use. Best gym in Plymouth!

Fantastic experience: Wow! What an incredible gym! How lucky is Plymouth/Devon to now have this amazing strength gym with so much cool equipment on our doorstep?! I went and did the Strong(wo)man class this morning and it was absolutely brilliant! Matt taught me all the techniques and I was amazed how much I could actually do... came out of the gym buzzing! Thank you Matt and Leoni - great to meet you both! I learned loads and feel very lucky to know I can now train at your very cool gym every Sunday!

Fantastic experience: If you are after a decent gym run by genuine people then i highly recommend. Especially if the goal is powerlifting and / or strongman training. Great bunch of people that are willing to help with tips etc too.
