Fantastic experience: This is a great gym! One of the best if not the best that I've ever been a member of. There's so much equipment it would take ages to try out everything and a huge variety of cardio machines, some fancy ones that other gyms don't have. Great selection of free weights and a reasonable number of squat racks. Very neat and clean. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi are excellent! The membership price is on the higher side but you 100% get what you pay for and it's definitely worth it IMO. The only downside is not related to the gym directly therefore doesn't affect the rating, but car park situation isn't the best at peak times. Sometimes it's so rammed that parking is stressful and I saw it 100% full before. Overall, avoid the peak times and you'll be satisfied!

Fantastic experience: The most fully equipped gym, clean in every corner, and instructors around you all the time to help you and answer questions. The Sauna and the Steam room are excellent, and so are the jacuzzi and the pool. I will always be going back there whenever I am visiting Rochester!

Fantastic experience: Very well equipped gym, including a huge selection of weights and cardio equipment, spin studio, boxing studio, pool, sauna and steam room. Friendly staff. Never have to queue for equipment even at busier times. More expensive than most in the area but you get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: The Good: Very clean, always. Spotless. Loads of cardio machines, I seriously cant imagine they ever run out. Good quality cardio machines, very good kit with little visual add ons, if you like that kind of thing. Pool, no one else locally can compete with this. Ditto sauna. Extensive weight machines, again a lot more than I've found locally. Again, the dumbbells, bars and machines are seriously good quality bits of kit, and very well maintained. Polite, friendly staff. Despite prior reviews, I go at peak times and have never struggled to get to equipment. Cons (none of which serious): Cant take your bag round with you due to it being a potential trip hazard. Totally understand why, but I have a lot of straps etc. In my arsenal and prefer to have it readily accessible. Again, I get why but I would sooner be able to take my bag round. I don't totally understand how the dumbbells are arranged and get confused as they dont seem to increase sequentially. I struggle to get much weight on the bar with the bumper plates. I maybe need to look closer, as maybe there is a non bumper plates option, but haven't found it. This is literally it as far as cons. This is a great gym, a little more expensive than the spit and sawdust gyms around locally, but you get a lot more for your money. They have equipment to cater for serious body builders, and is not intense enough to deter a more casual gym user.

Fantastic experience: Big gym, nice boxing gym, saunas,swimming pool, best time is morning and early afternoons. Staff are friendly, been member for two months and am enjoying my time there....found my muscles again, big thumbs up

Fantastic experience: Been a member for around a month. Prior to RHC I was a member of a large national chain. I always thought the one I was at was pretty good - sure there was never quite enough cardio equipment at peak times and you couldn’t always do a planned workout due to a shortage of equipment - but this is just how gyms are, right? Right? Wrong. Rochester health club has everything. Many times over. And they keep getting more. And more. And more. Everything is clean, well maintained and there’s excellent variety. Prefer free weights - tonnes (literally) of free weights and benches and the like. Machines - loads of those too. Cardio - you’ll have a heart attack before using them all. Seriously - wow. And free PT every 6-8 weeks. And not the hard sell “free but upgrade” for the real deal. In fact I don’t even know if I can upgrade (I made it clear I like to train alone, so they probably used common sense to avoid rejection - but that’s frankly refreshing!). My only 1 criticism- the music is a bit loud. Either turn it down a notch or two, as the old man would say, or play some real workout music

Fantastic experience: A lot of space, even on a busy day you will always find your corner to do your training. You can book appointment with personal trainer every 6 weeks on 12 months contract. Clean and well managed. Best one I have been so far. Worth every penny :)

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for 10 years now and it’s the best around,there constantly upgrading there equipment,lights,dumbbells,music and more! It’s not your £15 a month gym but you get what you pay for,never waiting for machinery and never crowded. Awesome place

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! The pool is great, you can get bespoke programmes included in your membership as well as classes and there is a boxing ring and a climbing wall! staff are really friendly. only downside is that the sun bed is a bit pricey so I'm going to do that separately.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, the Gym itself is laid out over two floors one being a mezzanine floor. Plenty of kit you never need to wait to use a piece of equipment. Training boxing ring looks great, but that as far a s it goes for me!. Pool area which includes spa, steam room and sauna are never packed and it is very relaxed. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Just a great place to get into shape.

Fantastic experience: I have joined a month ago and found it very professional. Manager has devised a personal plan to achieve my goals. Staff are helpful. Swimming pool is chlorine free and excellent equipment and have never had to wait to use any equipment. Loads of free classes. Recommended and i have checked the other gyms out as well before choosing this one. RASH

Fantastic experience: I have been to many gyms in the Medway area and Rochester Health Club is the best by far! There is so much equipment you never have to wait for anything even during peak times. You always see staff cleaning the equipment and keeping the gym tidy. Everyone is always really friendly. Love it!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, always free machines and a great atmosphere! Parking can be difficult at times due to the car park also being shared with other businesses but still able to park. Went for a walk round and they weren't at all pushy to get me to sign a contract there and then! Which helped make me feel at ease. I have always struggled with gyms and getting the motivation to continue going, but I can honestly say I love it here!!!
